You could have Tinea Versicolor causing the discolored patches. Very common in the summer, especially in hot humid climates. Your primary care physician can diagnose and give you a script. In the meantime, you can use a dandruff shampoo (eg Selsun Blue) to wash your neck in the shower.

re: "letting your hair GO." First of all, LOL! Second, perhaps whoever made that comment to you lacked the finesse of how to word it. I wouldn't call it "letting it go." At least speaking for myself...I'm now 46 1/2. In my early 40's I started to contemplate when I would stop dying my hair. Eventually, I decided that when I turned 45 I would go natural. I didn't let anything "go;" it was a very intentional planned out process. I have a great hair professional who explained the different options for transitioning my color and we came up with a plan that was a gradual change that eventually resulted in just my natural color. That's just the way I chose to do it. Anyway, you have a great attitude about it which I'm sure comes from years of reading public comments! 🤪

I wouldn't give that commenter the benefit of the doubt-she knew what she was saying, and even if she meant to be tactful, a comment like should never actually be said to someone. It didn't bother me, because it's just ridiculous, but it amazes me still to this day what people think is acceptable to say or write to someone. Thankfully it's a very small minority of people!

Quick tip on the Laura geller blushes. Tap on cheek or back of hand. Do NOT drag or swipe. It messes up the applicator. I learned the hard way. Fortunately they include and extra applicator in the box. I love mine

I'm happy to see you like the Amazon cargo pants. I bought them in white, loved them, and just got a beige pair. So cool and flowy, even though they're not cotton or gauze. They're a very lightweight, almost silky, parachute-like material. They look great even when wrinkled!

I'm with Michael when it comes to not being able to eat ice cream, even lactose free. I have been looking at the Ninja Creami . As far as the fake tanning is concerned, that spot on my neck does not hold fake tanner and also does not tan in sunlight. I wear sunblock 100% of the time I am outside but I live in Florida so I do get a little bit of.a tan. I use the St Tropez Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist and spray that on my neck. It holds well and evens out the difference in color. Give it a try!

I use the Isle of Paradise drops mixed into my moisturizer for tanning my neck. I normally use them every other day. I find that it stays smooth and never looks patchy. I also use them on my face.

Try the new charlotte tilbury tanning drops . They are excellent . I am light medium skin tone . I use three drops with moisturiser for a subtle glow, and when I use 5 drops I really tanned . It fades very softly and really naturally. I mix it with moisturiser at night best I’ve ever tried

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

I have a full neck, so I use a small amount of Jergens firming tanner in dark, even tho I am fair to light skinned. It does seem to wear off evenly. No special prep.

Love YSL lip products -- and excited to try a new one. I have also been considering the Ninja Creami for years-- started when I had dental work done but it continues. If I get one, it will be to use with fruit to make non-dairy "creamy" desserts.. a whip, a water ice, whatever you want to call fruit whipped into ice cream texture.

Tinea Versicolor was what I thought of immediately. I got this on my back a few years ago, but it went away w the treatment my Derm gave me, and I cannot see it normally- apparently it's like a fungus that lives on our skin all the time, but then this can happen... My friend had it on her neck (In addition to her chest) and it looked like yours. BUT even though I cannot see mine anymore when I do not use tanner, I found that some self tanners will either 1. Make those patches dark, or 2. Make them white... but then it goes away when the self tanner fades. (Beauty by Earth does NOT discolor those spots for me, though, just to share) IF it would be Tinea, once your self tan fades, if you still see it, it's just an anti-fungal cream you use a couple times per day. I'd definitely make an appt. w/ your derm to get it checked out!

I understand trying to find a good ice cream substitute. My siblings would meet at my parents every Sunday evening and ice cream was usually on the menu. I was so miserable every Monday morning that to this day I’m not tempted and I was a huge fan. 25 years ago there wasn’t much choice for alternative dairy ice cream. I’m going to try the hair powder at temples never thought about it being a bit of a fill in. If I were male I’d have a widow’s peak

I love the Quince midi dress - I have it in light blue and need to wear a half slip, knee length slip. I’m 5’3”, and the XS fit fine, body skimming rather than body hugging, and I prefer skimming. I hate anything fitted.

Solution is a new tanner. I swear by Coco and Eve Sunny Honey Bali bronzing foam in medium. Best tanner hands down. No weird smell, not stinky, applies evenly and wears off evenly and so gradually. I wouldn’t switch to any other tanner.

I’m not a doctor and I don’t use sunless tanner, but is it possibly related to Hashimoto’s disease since your thyroid is in that region? If not, maybe it’s either sweat or bending of the neck rubs it off. I love the bag you designed!

People can be so rude in criticizing others. Re: my honest opinion about your neck…it looks natural because skin tends to do that. But, I would just buy a dark color concealer ( as close as you can match it) and use that on the spots. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t use tanner, so that’s all I can offer. I’m light skinned, and don’t like to tan, so I don’t have much experience with tanners. I really enjoy your videos! You are so classy!

I’ve seen the neck unevenness on many people. I think that it’s just never going to work long term to dark self tan in such a flexible bendy area. Maybe spray tan for an event? I’m no expert but I’d light self tan the neck for an ombré effect, haha doesn’t that make it sound good? And dust bronzer when you want to go darker.

Yes, this happened to me.Take your body cream, nothing too thick. I like jergens ulta healing. Just right consistency. I make a cup in my hand, add cream, then tanner. Mix with your finger. This thins down tanner and adds moisture. PS. Dont spray perfume on your neck.

@@MsGoldgirl And if that doesn't work, do what I do: Forget about self tanning your neck and just take your foundation all the way down, OR use the Elf Halo Glow in a darker color on your neck, it works wonders and no more patchiness or creasing! 😘

Hey Marnie, I haven't read all the comments so someone else may have recommended this. I never expose my face & neck to the sun...which means I am always a ghost in those areas in summer. I add self-tanning drops to the moisturizer I use on my face & neck/upper chest area and or apply my bronzer to those areas while I am applying makeup. I don't ever use a typical (body type) self-tanner in those areas. Hope this helps ❤️

With that dress is your belt below the ‘waist’ of the dress? I have seen that dress on quince but I have a large chest and find that the waist on the dress will hit too high for me. But if it’s not noticeable and I can put the belt on my natural waist I may get this dress.

I am fair skinned like you and have the same problem if I apply self tanning products directly to my neck. The only thing that seems to work is...I apply a moisturizing sunscreen to my neck and chest (Paula's Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid spf 50) and then after doing skin care on face, I mist face and neck with St Tropez Self Tan Purity, which is a "bronzing water". I let this dry a few minutes before applying my usual day time look, which is tinted sunscreen. I do the "mist" every other day and my neck doesn't look patchy as it did with other face self tanners. Nioxin makes hair products for thinner hair. I also use Biotin 1,000 mg tabs per day. I got collagen peptides powder as a dietary supplement. In the morning you put 2 tablespoons of the power in hot coffee or tea & drink - it is flavorless. Stir well. I do at least once daily. I am emphasizing eating more proteins in my diet (egg, chicken, tuna, sardines etc not a eater of much beef) Been doing this about 3 months as my routine. Do not skip breakfast. I am NOT a health professional but my hair is very thin especially on top but my hair I have has more body. Not like the commercials where they claim you will have thick, long hair. LOL Hope this helps Just got the L Oreal Bond Repair shampoo to use as alternate I keep my hair one length chin length.

With my skin care regime right now, tanning my neck and face wouldn’t work because it also would probably be patchy. I have been adding tint drops to my neck spf.

I love the L’Oréal bond shampoo line. Abbey Yung recommends using the bond treatment between shampooing and conditioning. That way it goes to work on clean hair with no buildup. Rinse out then condition. So much more convenient and I still notice all the same benefits.

I don’t know if this would work for you, but I don’t use self tanner on my neck. I use it on my chest, but not my neck. I just pull my makeup down my neck if I need more color there, but most of the time I don’t feel like I need it.
