These are the kind of videos we need and we appreciate... cheap food and cheap entertainment especially for us with big families and me paying for the whole family. Highly appreciated, please continue with these videos in different places such as cancun, merida, puerto morelos etc. Thank you!
So glad you found value in the video. I hope you and the whole fam get to try those quesadillas soon! They’re a crowd pleaser and definitely won’t break the bank! Puerto Morelos is on the short list for sure and only a matter of time until I do a deep dive on Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel etc. All the best to you and yours!
I’ve been going to Playa for about 25 years. When you commented it was cheap, 30 pesos came to mind. Without the preface, I would have guessed 50-60. I haven’t been there since 2019 so I’m going off my past experiences. When I saw the $35 sign I was surprised that it is still that inexpensive. To put this in perspective, 35 pesos would have been a good price 15 years ago yet at a worse rate ($3 USD). So it is actually cheaper today than 15 years ago. Thanks for posting this. I will definitely check out Jorge next year when I return.
Thanks for that awesome insight there Patrick!! That really does put things into perspective. I remember those awful exchange rates of 10:1 but I was in northern Baja. So it was indeed more expensive when I was in my late teens! I’m glad you’ll get to try Jorge’s quesadillas! He’s a really interesting guy to chat with and so humble and kind. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@theropemonster can’t wait to try it. It looks great. Those places are always the best! Thanks so much. I just found your channel. I will subscribe and go back to watch your content.
Whew! Yea SF is so high, like my home town of Portland. But no! With the current exchange rate it’s under $2! If you make it down please try those quesadillas, Jorge would be grateful 😎❤️🇲🇽
By any chance did you hear anything on the news or on FB about a motorcycle crash (likely fatal) that happened 1 month ago on Avenida 30 by Nativo & 7 11 around 1am-2am? After the combis stopped running. I'm curious
No, but unfortunately there are plenty of motorcycle and scooter accidents here. A Canadian acquaintance of mine got annihilated by a bus in Nayarit while riding his Harley back home. Barely anything left to bury.
@@theropemonster Reason I ask is that it happened right in front of me. I saw the whole thing & the guy wasn't moving when he hit the ground. I was wondering what happened to him.
I paid $100 pesos at Coloseo and Avenida 10, pollo burrito, I was craving on its by the car wash, never go there, I guessed yours was 40 pesos, yours had much better quality and much more meat, I was disgusted by how little food he put in a giant tortilla, I used to live in San Diego where they are very big and fat, he put so little of everything on it , it was pathetic, it was even less than I remembered, I hadn’t been back in a few years, another guy said it’s big , I eat here daily, I was like in my mind you are clueless, I have a juice place on 10 th Ave y Calle 2 , it is fantastic y cheaper as well but I live far away and don’t get there nearly enough I will go to your Donatello’s I wish there was one near where I live, it’s cheaper and better than what I cook Gracias
I realized that after I already uploaded the video lol 🙄… it took me a few months of living on the east coast of MX to get my head screwed on right after so much time on the west coast 😅
@@theropemonster that’s funny because I live in New Jersey but visit SoCal often and I get confused the same way. I’m so used to the beach being east, I have to think first before I get my bearings. 😂
