Got KDB in my GW1 team last year, only for him to get injured during the first match, messing up my draft. Since then, he goes by “Kevin the Brittle”.

Kdb generally looks unfit last season and I'm worries about his fitness . I wonder if Foden might be a better pick which he was Last season

Joao Pedro is a doubt and also Brighton are playing all of the “top 7” teams in the first 11 games. Muniz and Wood much better options IMO

I don't know if you had Nunez last season, but I did and would advise you as a fellow Liverpool fan not to get him in your fpl team. Watching your team's games and seeing Darwin miss chance after chance is excruciating. Made me rage way worse than if I didn't have him in my team.

Darwin nunez was an incredible disappointment. He blanked first dgw and got injured the second one first match after a single goal for a 5 pointer ​@kreyp94 had him for both 😢

Targett?? As someone whose prem team is Newcastle, I really hope Eddie would be a bit more adventurous than that… he used Tino and Hall a fair few times last season even if injuries forced his hand, surely he just wants the best 11 on the pitch

@@nathan-m8s I’d hope so too, but remembering how careful Eddie was last season I’d be disappointed but not that surprised if he didn’t risk Hall or Kelly in the opening game

he's second in terms of advanced stats in the midfield. Arsenal are very reliant on set pieces which makes him a key pick.

Arsenal have the best defence so an extra point for clean sheets. Almost guaranteed to play 60+ minutes, so 2 more points. He takes corners from the right and penalties so 3-5 points there. He often gets bonus points for his performances. His avenue to points is in the top 3 of any midfielder that even in quiet games he'll net 4+ points so I think he's a much safer choice than someone like Son.

⁠@@phoenixfire6559For 10m, his minutes are not a pro, they’re a con. We don’t even know if he’ll start all of the first 3 weeks or if he’ll get past 70 mins in any of them. I agree that he’s more reliable/consistent than Son, but Son is fully rested, has better fixtures and has more haul potential. Personally I won’t be starting with Saka but will almost for sure bring him in after the Villa game.

@@nathan-m8s Yes mate agree with everything you said, but I do think Saka will start every game and play 90. Even if he broke both his legs Arteta would still start him lol

Could be a mistake to start without but gave my reasoning in the vid. Basically would rather start with Saka/Son and Nkunku, who has looked brilliant for 4m less. Then move to Palmer a few weeks in if looking like a mistake

As a Chelsea fan, I can understand why, lol. He’s expensive this year and not as appealing as similar prices players in more cemented teams. Chelsea look awful, palmer might not start first game cos of rest from euros etc. It’s not a palmer issue, it’s a Chelsea issue

There are plenty of reason. Firstly, he got 9 penalties last year, that's not usual for a team like Chelsea. 3 less that year and he would have scored less points than Foden, and now there is a 1 m difference in cost between the two. While Chelsea was dogshit, Poch gave Palmer a free role and based most of their attack on him performing. Maresca is a whole different style of manager who values possession and more rigid structure in the team, So while Chelsea hope they perform better (the preseason hasn't been kind), that doesn't mean Palmer will be a better pick as the style of football is likely to diminish his returns. Like the rest of the England players he has just returned in training after the euros. Foden is predicted to have limited min the first few rounds, the same can be true for Palmer, and even more so as he's not familiar with the style Maresca wants and could take more time to figure it out. Chelsea start against Man City and is likely to get crushed in the first round. If Chelsea are doing OK, many would rather then gamble on a currently un-injured Nkunku for 4 m less. If Palmer is going to produce chances, Nkunku is likely to benefit the most of his team mates, so it's safer to save the 4 m and go for Nkunku at the start of the season.

Here’s some notes: - Sugawara upgrade if he doesn’t play. - Potential movement with Tarkowski, Muniz and Leno, if they dont get off the right foot. - Gordon sell and get a player like De Bruyne, Nkunku or downgrade and get someone like Smith-Rowe, if Gordon either doesn’t get onto the right foot or the run of games look tricky.

I’ve vouched for the Salah-only draft, until the Robot got that hattrick in pre-season. Now I’m contemplating Salah+Haaland but switch to Salah+Watkins+Palmer from GW3

Fernandes and palmer or salah and nkunku.. liverpools fixtures suggest the latter is a better option

Depends on your squad and GW I suppose? I’ll be lining up to play 343 with Muniz or Havertz up front, with the occasional 352 if Muniz makes the squad.

Bench is weak but solid starting 11. Personally I'd downgrade Havertz/Eze and bump up the bench a bit.

Trent is on free kicks and some corners, if you look at his stats he is very consistent for expected goal involvements. Even though he’s 1 million more it’s because he gets more assists, may get more goals and almost definitely more bonus points. Trent is consistently one of the most creative defenders in the game. He's not, 6.5m shows how good he is. If he was 6m then he'd picked over any other Arsenal defender. Personally, I am picking Califori because I hope he can do what White did on the right on the left.
