Thank you! Why can't people just show what they title their video as instead of making you stare at their face and talk on an on for what seems like an eternity?!?!?!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm way too impatient for all that! 😂
Great video, I just picked up my new "baby Denali" Canyon and I've said right from the beginning that stupid lower air damn needs to come off, I know it's there for fuel economy but I'd rather sacrifice the $0.25 a tank it saves me to enhance the look of the truck. You're video just proved me right and the decision is final mine is coming off. Thanks for posting!
Told ya months ago to take that air dam off. Looks great. Now you can throw on some of the GM skid plates that came out last year and get rid of that plastic one.
I took off my front air dam (deflector). The truck ran noticeably hotter in summer and would get pushed around in the wind quite a bit on the highway. It went back on. The GM Owner's Manual says to reinstall the deflector after any off-road use. I learned why.
I got rid of the side step, running boards, etc. on my new 2021 GMC Canyon Denali. They are a hindrence for taller people that don't need a step up to get into the vehicle. I wish on the Denali package that you could opt out of the running boards.
Gloss black would look awesome on that satin wrap. Orange mirror caps may be a bit much and hard to pull off without looking tacky. Painting the brake calipers orange would be low key and probably look great, just my opinion though.
So I would add the black logos on the side of the doors but have a trim on the letters with mat orange but no orange on the side mirrors, maybe even make the brake caliper cover orange would look nice with that pop but either way good looking truck man!
Glad to see you like your Colorado. I am disappointed in mine . I have a 2020 Colorado with 4500 miles on it and it’s going to the shop already for electrical issues with back up camera. I feel the electronics of GM need a kick in the butt.
I lucked out on my 2021 Canyon with doing this. They smartened up and have now have the screws going up not down. took me maybe a minute for the thirteen screws.
Hey dude! loving the truck's progress especially the wrap. on the topic of the orange color, If I went with a accent color I would match the yellow cali license plate, that color seems to blend well with the black and grey!
What i did with the valence, i used a blow torch and melted the plastic around the screws and pulled it off in 2 minutes. Then i grinded the bolts off and painted the bottoms black
Yeah, … gonna keep my sidesteps on the truck. For added side rub safety. That is unless you’re not going off-roading any time soon. (Keep that stuff on, it helps protect the low sides of the truck. DON’T BE THAT GUY)
That's a nice looking truck, the paint looks different than the Satin Steel metallic on my Colorado, more matte looking or something I like it. The height is good too looks like he put additional lift on it maybe.
Great Video and love the paint job on that truck. I just purchased. 2020 GMC Canyon and I found out I’m not Happy with the paint- color white. What can in expect price wise for a decent paint job. Looking to go silver or storm gray.
Might also consider using stubby antenna and they have these inserts from cup holder hero that accents of color that will set off interior. Check out on amazon
I think I'll remove mine on my 17' Canyon. Like the look. Did you replace the bulbs in your headlights and fogs? If you did, did you make a video? Let me know when you can. Thanks.
Kyzeebomb 61 HIDs are brighter. Just ordered some new HID headlights and fog lights since the fogs are LED and I’m getting a new color temperature for the headlights so stay tuned 👍
Great looking truck. Definitely dig the new wrap on the front rather than black. It does look pretty good with the skirt removed but taking it off along with a lift can affect your mileage 3-4 MPG mainly on highway driving over 75mph. I think just minor orange or yellow accents on mirrors could be good if not done overboard. Would leave the sides as they are. Nice work
How much did it cost to wrap your truck I got a 22 canyon elevation I’m thinking of getting it a black matte wrap, and take off that air dam and those step bars, I’m not sure though im still making payments on the truck and don’t wanna void any warranty’s I gotta ask some questions to make sure it’s good to go first but let me know how much that wrap costs
Is a Canyon a good truck to buy? I've been looking for a truck with a good interior and more inside luxury features than anything. I like the size of the canyon. Just curious on some different opinions from people that actually own one.
Blaine Richwine depending on your version of luxury but I think you’d be happy with it for a midsize truck with leather, heated seats, power seats, Bose sound, accent stitching and dual climate that was more luxury then I needed. Denali is their holy grail luxury trim and that’s about what you get on the interior with the addition of a power charging matt for your phone. The All Terrain package is the best of both off road and luxury worlds in a midsize truck👍
@@MarkBrenner nice I own a 2004 Monte Carlo and the radio I installed when I had an iphone worked with it as far as changing songs but with my android it doesn't now. So I wanted to be able to do that plus wanted remote start etc for when it's winter because I do not like the cold. Plus I wanted to get a new vehicle that would be just mine from the beginning and not get it used. I'd prefer to know exactly what has happened in the truck etc.
Blaine Richwine yeah I’m with ya, it’s good to go brand new for that reason. The remote start is nice in the winter, you can change the setting to warm up the seats before you get in
I have a gas SLE and it is good. I also like a nice interior. I am trading mine in for a diesel Denali. I’m going to own this next one for 15 years. Honestly I like the exterior of the Tacoma’s more. But I love the towing the canyon offers. If you are into off-roading or overlanding I’d go with Colorado or Tacoma
Im trying to figure what advantage there is to removing it ? I might not have realized something all of you thought was a great idea. Forgive me but can anyone tell me why ?
Check out the 6 speed of the 2016 or the 6 speed of the diesel. It's supposed to have the issues of the current 8 speed fixed. I bought a 2016 with 15k miles on Monday.
Thats the point. Granted idk what the deal is with the colorados front end design. I wish it was possible to have Sierra style headlights on the canyon.
Looking at getting a 2018 nightfall edition canyon . I'm kinda wondering how the hell it has 20 inch fuels and 255x55x20 bf's on it with no rub . Kinda learning the whole "mod" truck thing . I usually just drive them into the ground stock lol
Nice Canyon keep addling mods. I asked if you would do a Rough Country Fender Flares and you said give you a littletime and you would. I have the 400+ RWHP that I wanted from RiPP Superchargers , got the 6" Suspension lift andflares being painted Forrest Green Metallic . Got to test fit some big tires on my 20" Ultra Predator II Chrome wheels andinstall the flares and that's it for now. Got $7K in the aforementioned mods, but will have an eye catching tire smokingZ-71 Colorado that will look great and also bury any Colorado or Canyon down the 1/4 mile...for now... Need that flare videounless that will screw up your Wrap project
Seems like it would gain a little mpg. When you figure with it on there the wall of the nose is taller/bigger into the wind... I get great gas mileage on regular 45-55 mph roads. But get me on the interstate especially late at night when I can stay 80-85 mph. I ride at about 17mpg. But of course NC has rolling hills so it stays in 5th some of the inclines...
Awesome truck, I just got 50k miles on my ZR2, if you want to see my build check it out here: i go over how the delete is, the diesel and how to fit 35s. @
I don't know what good the flimsy plastic skirt does. The first time I took mind on a forest road it struck the ground a couple of times. I think the best thing to do is maybe replace the whole front bumper.
M Brown Lasfit LEDs look great on my Canyon. Did the entire truck in LED. Worth the time and effort. Passenger side is a bit of work, but worth it in the end
