I literally just heard of this editing software from other RU-vid last night and was signing on to RU-vid to find out the name. Your video is perfect timing 😂😂 thank you! Can’t wait to see your tutorials too!!
Robust software! Cool image bouncing effects and different voiceover styles. Thanks for the tutorial sharing practical ways to start editing with this software Katie! Hoping all is well these days.🚀🎥
Perfect timing! I was trying to decide once on editing software and it was holding me back from actually getting this RU-vid channel started! I'm off to start learning Davinci Resolve and get uploading videos! Thanks Katie! (I'm also local, hoping to bump in to you someday and totally fangirl)
Thank you. I love your videos that demystify the editing process. I'm just a beginner learning basic editing skills. I still get excited when I learn even one thing, like how to add a sticker to my video etc. ☺️
I wonder what your thoughts are on PC's VS Macs in terms of video editing in general. Pardon the question if you've already made a video on this that I haven't seen...
Can you show us how to use Davinci and have your little face pop up at the bottom while having another video on the screen? 9:04 like at this part of your video etc. Pretty please and thank you!! 🙏
Katie, thank you very much. I just started in da Vinci resolve last week. And admittedly was quite intimidated by it. I’ve been meddling through one video. And I needed a little bit more direction. This was very helpful.
That’s actually one of the benefits of upgrading toDavinci studio, the paid version. I used the free version for the first six or eight months of my channel, and then I was happy to spend $300 on it because that’s a lifetime license. It’s not a monthly membership. I hate software that nickel and dimes you and tries to force you to keep paying for it forever. But anyway, DaVinci Studio is worth it if you’ve got a good graphics card on your computer, because it will use more of your graphics card to render and process stuff, instead of higher CPU. my computer is not the absolute best or anything. It’s an Alienware computer that’s a couple years old, has a 3080 graphics card. But it works great for da Vinci studio.
🚀 hi Katie! thanks for yet another amazing video! i have one off topic question: would you mind sharing your settings for samsung monitor that you have? i just got it and the image right off the box looks drastically different from my mac
🚀🚀🚀 I'm still learning Davinci Resolve so this came at a perfect time because I need to edit my next video. Trying to blur objects was so intimidating, but not anymore. Thank you for this quick 101!
🚀Thanks for this video! Would love for you to also share how you keep from filling up a hard drive with the edits and libraries. Are you storing all of the renders, edits, and libraries onto an external drive? If so…would you share how to set up the files to be stored on external drive with DaVinci Resolve?
🚀 Great overview. The adobe CC subscription is getting a bit out of control and I was wondering if the transition to Resolve would be easy. This makes me feel like I can tackle it. 👩🏻🚀
Unfortunately I can't use Resolve as I'm on an older Macbook Pro without a dedicated graphics card! Luckily my music software (Reaper) also doubles as a video editor so I can do a lot of things in that (just not the really fancy effects like you are demonstrating here)
🚀🚀🚀 Thank you Katie! Yes, I’m following my dreams and having adventures.😂 I decided since I film everything on my iPhone, it was just easier to use CapCut on my phone so I can eliminate that video transfer time. Could you do a video on how beginners start with this and what benefits can you get with better software and also making the transfer as simple as possible. I think that’s my biggest barrier and I know I’d be easier to see on my computer, but I just don’t have all that kind of time. Idk. What do you think?
I've heard things about davinci and thought it was another one you had to purchase. I will definitely be looking into it now especially cuz I do not have money to spend on the expensive ones XD thank you for this video
Another awesome video Katie but I am studying a Broadcast Media Course and it involves using Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve only works on a laptop/desktop that has more than 16GB RAM but I have been able to use Premier Pro on a 8GB laptop. I would like to upgrade or replace my laptop with a 16GB or more RAM laptop. Love 🥰 the video and love 💗 Katie.
Hi i have a question when you do a paid promotion video do you still earn from it through your adsense revenue? Even if you signed a work for hire agreement that says ownership and usage rights belong to the company who hired you, forever? Thank you!
yep, I get all my adsense! i never sign over usage rights or copyright ownership in perpetuity to a brand. sometimes I provide usage rights on a limited basis (a month, for example) for a fee. But I would never give away copyright ownership!
I signed up for Davinci with email and password. Then sent me to log in and wouldn't take my pw. Applied to change pw hours ago but no response. Any advice?
We have been using this for about 2 years why would people pay for software when you can have this for free. Had to buy a new laptop though cos of the ram usage but worth it 😊
Wish people give me feedback on my edits to improve 😊 also, I'm Grateful for my 259 awesome subscribers! 🥰🙌 Your support keeps me going every day. Tough times come and go, but I'm here to stay, growing and improving for all of us. Let’s keep the journey going! 💪💫
