THE ORIENT PEAR TREE.
The Orient pear is a cross breed of an Asian and European pear. As a result of the blend, it offers some appealing attributes and a reputation for beauty. It is blight resistant and bears heavy crops. It produces large, semi-hard fruit. The pears have a yellow, thick skin and a creamy, fine flesh with a sweet but mild flavor. When they ripen in late summer they can be used for canning or eaten fresh off the tree. The Orient requires 350 chill hours and is hardy in USDA Zones 5-8.

Let’s go BONITA!!!!! It’s good to see her back in her glory. I can’t wait for my Orient Pear 🍐 tree to get bigger. It’s doing great in this crazy Texas heat with no rain in the last 6 weeks and temps over 100 degrees EVERYDAY. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed as always Uncle Lead! -Calvin

I'm going to look for your video, the honey. I also was sick in California, and I hadn't heard what was going on in the world. Me and my puppies wear sick the lord showed me what to do after a week I called my niece and she told me the sickness that was going on and recommended I go to a hospital. Lol ,she knew I wasn't going with 1 week and it was off me. I give God the glory. I had everything we needed in the RV sitting on the beach ( God did it)!

Hey lead just an observation. You used a metal spoon when eating the honey as I understand it it is best to use a wooden spoon because the metal contact kills the live beneficial microbes. That why you see old school honey jars with that spiral wood knob. Again I have limited understanding, just wanted to pass it on in case it helps any one.😊

I love it when you tellin' us your taste buds ain't like everybody's. So true! But everyone who loves pears - this is a great one to try! Personally, I loved the Korean pears I got when stationed there, but since they don't travel well, it's hard to get them in the USA. Tried growing a coule of them years ago and all they did was die. I'm going to try growing the Orient and Pineapple pears real soon. We love pears! Thanks so much for sharing this. Sorry I couldn't make the live!

I just wanted to say thank you for being obedient at the ending and showing how to graph the tree. I just ordered a soursop and planted it last night but really didnt want to leave it in the ground. I asked the Lord if His will is to leave some behind, help me know how to take from it, so the new owners can also be blessed as well as me from the tree. I walked in the house and said my prayer to my daughter today. Your video live came on and i watched it. You said i know yall didnt ask, but im going to show it anyway. Came back to say thank you for being led to do that. Im learning how to build an oasis in the desert her in Cali and still take stuff when we relocate. We lived in Columbia SC until 2019. So hoping to move closer to Texas where we get a little more rain in the future. Much love to you and the family. Yall inspire my family as well as Grow family with King. God bless.

I killed both the mulberry and elderberry cuttings, so it is possible. I just knew I would be good because I propagate and grown houseplants all the time. However, this was not the case for me. Luckily, I found a mulberry tree from HD. However, I've learned so much from your channel that I am glad that I could show support. 🙂

I would love a pear tree but those trees grow so huge, not sure I want it in my yard. I have a fig tree that I thought was fighting a losing game with the winter storms that came through TX. If your fig tree dies, don't dig it up, that thing is like a miracle plant. I tasted my first fig in three years and it was so sweet!

I’m also looking for orient pear trees and those figs-ah, beautiful! You taught me and showed me how to plant trees and you keep teaching. How I appreciate everything you share with us! So many nuggets of wisdom were shared ❤ Thank you, LeadFarmer. I'm behind watching your videos but I always turn them on when I work in the garden or I'm in the kitchen. You taught me so much about fruit trees and I was successful in air layering because of you! 😊 I was looking online for the Orient pear tree and it's $65! I about fell out my chair when you told us you bought yours for $9. I too hate my Keiffer pear tree.
