@jasminahmetovic140 yup this happend to me. These headphones are a pipedream. They sound excellent but will break in a short period of time and audeze warranty is sounding like the worst so far.

I’ve owned Astro A50s and the cloud ii wireless and the Maxwell makes them look like an absolute joke. Best headset I’ve ever owned

@@Juan_Pablo21they are a massive upgrade sound quality and bass wise. How ever the drivers are a ticking time bomb. Do yourself a favor and stick with the a50s. Or else you will be spoiled like me with the maxwell sound. It's hard for me to go back to my a50 I'm not willing to go through buying multiple maxwells though once the drivers start to go every time.

I also agree with this review. I've owned mine for a couple months now. At first I thought I made a mistake but the longer I used them the more I noticed how much better they were than my Corsair Virtuoso.

This would probably be the next headset I get in the future. I’m just starting out now so I have a cheaper (100) headset steelseries arctis nova 3, and with software adjustments it’s really good. The sound could most definitely be better and I wish the mic included blue voice but steelseries isn’t a bad brand for the price. But I do believe that these would be 10 times better. But ofc it’s way more expensive.

I have concerns with the QC and longevity of the product. I am seeing quite deal breaking cases on the reddit. Can anyone weigh in the failure rates?

Well those who run into issues will naturally complain about them, and those who dont have no need to. The Audeze reddit is much more bloated in complaint because its highly enthusiast brimmed and has much fewer products than other companies to disribute the focus of talk. Shouldnt be drastically different from others and if you hit an unlucky bump there is the 1 year warranty

@@coolmemesbuddI messaged a guy today that made a post on Instagram a few months ago. He never made a post after and I asked if his broke yet. He said yes 4 hrs after. My guess is they just return them dont care and move on without feeling to report back. Mine got the crinkle last night.

I'm waiting for my 4th Maxwell replacement. There are definitely some quality control issues. The planar magnetic drivers are quite delicate and the diaphgrams are doomed to perforate at the slightest change of air pressure. So for example you press the cans into your ears you almost guarantee to get that planar crinkle of death. You need to be extremely careful with the Maxwell's to save it from damages.

@@cyberstonks Tapping buttons on the head is one of the reason. Try to use them than headset is off your head. In order not to create additional pressure. Don’t know how much, but it will definitely extend the service life of headphones.

the strap is kinda terrible esp if you need to adjust it all the way "big" the suspension system is defeated and the top is sitting on your head - big melon heads should try before buy- the stock pads will make your ears hot - get some of the cooling gel pads from wicked

Yes it's the best gaming headset - and I have one. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD660S2 (which were 499 on prime day) with an Antlion USB mic and that absolutely pisses on the Maxwell's. And not talking a huge difference.

They can be. This headset is for audiophiles. The ones that want to hear every instrument in an orchestra, every crisp note. They can be very good at pinpointing sound but are you ready to pay 300 dollars for it?

Let's be real any headphone marketed as a "gaming headset" is going to be ehh. I am slightly bias because I've never really liked any headset they always seem to be shit. If I was to recommend any "headphone" for gaming it would be the koss ksc75 it's cheap as, it has a bright sound and great sound stage plus it weights like 50 grams 😂😂 so you can wear them for hours with no pain at all. Only down side is you will need an external mic which tbh would make up the difference in price but you would have both better sound and better mic 😂

Unfortunately their app is terrible. Try using it with the Sony NWA306 walkman, good luck if you can get it to work. The headphone though work OK. I have reported the issues but still no fix till now 😢

If they made a wired version and exchange the production cost for the internal dac/amp combo, battery and bluetooth with better material for the external build, move assembly entirely to US and could keep the price around 300-600 USD it would be an immideate purchase for me.

The Maxwell can used through usb c it’s technically wired as well and sounds better that way IMO

That's a completely different headphone without the wireless functionality and DSP, plus it will require an external amplifier since it is using planar drivers.

@@darth2073 while it is heavy, the weight is well distributed - you can wear it for a 6-8 hour session without a problem; after that, every headset would feel uncomfortable.

I’ve had them since release and once that band breaks in they feel like shit. They are way too heavy and my Penrose still sound better than my Maxwell. Also I don’t use neither anymore. Over heads are old news. 😂
