I just hope GAN focus on their cube performance Not the numbers of adjustment I mean it should have Gan 13 edge magnet Is it even do anything I tried 13 its was almost the same as 12 with more lock up
@@myfriendcallmemc I so agree. Adjust-ability is nice, but raw numbers don't make them meaningful. Besides, center piece tensions are much more important than adjustable magnets. Everybody seems to be prefer medium magnets, so I don't see a need for more that three magnet settings, and certainly not a super strong or super weak setting. I think GAN is probing to see what the market will bear, especially with the rising prices. They will eventually hit a limit. Mine may well have been reached. (Besides, my new main is the WR M v9. And, that's only $43. I'm so in love.)
I definitely prefer cubes with a scratchy feel: 1) Because I know that scratchiness will eventually go away. 2) It means the cube was not pre-lubed; so I don't have to clean the gunk out before putting in my own preferred lube.
Yup - GAN 12 (MagLev UV) is my main as well, and I also have 11m Pro, 13 (MagLev UV) and 14 (MagLev UV) as well. I just finished doing some 200-odd solves with each, AFTER dialing them in to my current preferences, setup with lube - and even so, the 12 wins hands down. However, it was a very close run between this and the 14. So my ranking is: 1) GAN 12. Because it's fast and corner cuts great, and has the by far best auto homing of all cubes. Only the Tornado V3 Pioneer comes close. 2) This should be a shared spot between 11m Pro and 14, but due to the 11m Pro being SO much cheaper, the 11m Pro wins. 3) ... and thus, we see 14 on the third place 4) GAN 13. Because it's so very odd, and no matter which combos of settings and lubes I've tried (and oh boy have I tried a lot), it always feels like it's too fast and too slow at the same time. Which is very odd, but it is what it is.
I like the 13 because it feels smooth, feels blocky and has good auto alignment and magnet strength. Fun Fact: I use the strongest magnet strengths and weakest tensions even though I like turning fast.
I'd probably swap the 11m pro and the 13 in my list. I really do like the 12, it grew on me ever since I bought the 12 free play Bluetooth cube and before that my last main gan cube was the 11M pro which was extremely solid. I still use the WRM v9 as my main but if I had a gan 12 instead, I would be comfortable in saying that I could get the same times.
@@flaminfoe9156 yes. I own both and the v9 is better. As with any speed cube nowadays, the technology has mostly been figured out so I really comes down to feel. The v9 is faster but also very stable and it's easily one of the best cubes on the market right now.
I'm so happy, I just bought a Gan 12 Maglev. And I saw Gan were already so far ahead that they had come out with a 14 Maglev. I thought I waas really behind in terms of cube tech so I was on the edge of buying it before I saw this video. Thanks Alot
So i have an 11 m pro and you said that it has amazing corner cutting but on mine i put on the setting that it does the most corner cutting but it cant even corner cut 20 degrees.i dont know?what should i do?lube?i need help guys
U need lube, it helps my 11 pro corner cut into 45. (Also use weighted 3 - 5 silicone lube for the core (spring) it helps making your cube feel better)

The 14 is out at SCS because I spent $100.00 on the Cosmic 14 maglev UV. I have to say the 12 is the best out of all the above mentioned cubes which I own.
In my opinion, 13 is better than 14 the reason is not only the price, 13 is better than 14 cause for me I don’t like too many magnets cause it just makes the cube turns by itself, I don’t really like how it only control by itself. Other than that ofc the price, I don’t like the price for Gan 14, it’s great though but if Gan make 14 cheaper I would definitely buy it. So if you wanna buy a cheaper cube you could either buy 12 or 13, Gan 11 is also good so I recommend to buy it.
The coolest 354M in my collection. I don't know what else could be better. I want to try Maglev14. But the price is too high for me and I am not sure that I will feel a significant difference.
2:31 for the gan 11 GES doesn’t 1 stand for the least amount of corner cutting? I have the Gan skewb which has the same GES system and setting 4 pops more than setting 1

In your opinion, if the 14 is theoritically better than the 13, how do you explain the discrepancy?
I didn't put lube in my Gan 13 maglev cus my dad said that it was a waste of money and now my Gan 13 can't even corner cut 45 degrees. It also locks up alottttt. Also my gan 13 case magnets kept falling off and I ended up having to super glue them
I had a 356 and 10 but was looking for an upgrade. Almost every videos i came across says GAN12 was the best so that is the one i chose. I wanted a maglev feeling.
There’s a difference and that’s that all the adjustment systems are available without changing the blue thing. I guess it’s also 53 mm which makes it perfect for me for oh
The Gan 11 M pro auto aligns at around 30 degrees due to its magnets attracting, but this probably isn't the auto-alignment you're referring to. The Gan 12 lineup was the first Gan release to use repelling magnets to auto align at around 50 degrees.

Can I have some questions with you guys? why is my gan 12 edge magnets getting rust? I paid so much about that cube and now it's very sloppy, what can I do to make it perform back to it's original performance, should I get it done to speedcubeshop? or DIY? what size is the edge magnets of the gan 12 and what magnet strength it is? (anyone can answer)
Maybe a water went into your magnets and it become rusty. If it becomes rusty try cleaning it or try calling a friend that can help you remove the rust from the magnets and maybe it might go away. If the rust is still there I think you should buy a new cube.
every video can you guys please not use a filter over the video, the cube colors always look completely different from how they really are in person and it would be nice to see the cube in video with the right colors
It's not going to be here. You should try the Wrm V9 and the Tornado V3. I've tried all the Gans except the 14, and both the Wrm V9 and Tornado V3 are better.
I think the 12 is super overrated. The 13 is better to me in almost every way The 12 I got definitely had that catching issue. It feels like there is too much in the middle of the cube and I got the frosted version and the plastic is very thin.
The Gan 14 can actually be really good if you set it up properly. If you can get it to be a bit more slower, it can be a fantastic cube. The price doesn't justify though. It's just plastic and magnets. How is that worth $60?
