Yasutomo Nori paste is the best! I had never heard of it, but I found a jar at my local art store and just decided to try it out. I brush it on the back of my magazine collage images like mod podge…but it doesn’t wrinkle the paper and also works well with deli sheets!!! I’ve torn paper with glue sticks, I’ve gotten lumps and bumps from uneven glue stick application. I’ve glue sticks fail and the edges of images peel up. I’ve gotten bubbles and wrinkles with just about everything else. Nori paste is repositionable for a short time and will wipe off paper easily with a slightly damp cloth…and it won’t damage magazine images. My second favorite is Ranger’s collage matte medium. It is designed to “shrink” when it dries to minimize or even eliminate the glue ooze that can occur around edges. I’m going to try nuvo glue one day if I can remember to include it with a craft haul.

Nuvo is my favorite too!!! So glad it came out on top (although I am back to using more art glitter too, since I already bought it!)

How about doing a comparison on glue sticks? Those are easier to use. Also, does it matter what your base paper is? Thanks!!

I don't really use glue sticks... my art is extremely "layery" and glue sticks struggle with being able to hold!!! And YES! The paper does matter...a rough paper will stick better than a super smooth paper!

I use Aleenes with a brush and put on a thin coat. It is a little messy, but it has been my favorite so far. I haven't tried the expensive glues though.

I feel like Nuvo is super cheap because it is easy and you don't have to use so much... still my favorite!

This was pretty cool 😎 and informative,im a bit of a glue freak lol I love trying different types. You should try " yes paste", another youtuber did a glue comparison using it....her youtube name is " east side of honey" TUFS ☺🤗😍

Is the Elmers glue which is a PVA glue safe for artworks that you wish to conserve and will it yellow the paper?

If I use magazines which are made from non acid free paper what is the best way to protect and seal the artwork to prevent loss of color, yellowing and also glue flaking ?

It helps a lot. The nuvo glue was out of stock. But glue pens were not. Med or large???

So if you have to do glue pens go with the Lawn Fawn 3 pack! I like them better than Nuvo glue stick!

Did you glue glossy paper to glossy paper? That's where I have problems.

Why wasn't lawn fawn #4? Higher price-yes, but all areas were good. I find it excellent for gluing very small pieces and it lasts a long time.

It for sure could! I like it because it works great... it was just the high cost for the small volume... the benefit is that it handy, the downfall is the cost/ounce!
