It depends on the time you place your order and payment mode. * For UPI and Netbanking (direct settlement banks), the cut-off time is 2 PM on the same day (T day). * For Netbanking (non-direct settlement banks), the cut-off time is between 12 AM to 11:59 PM on the same day (T day). * For NEFT and RTGS, the cut-off time is 2 PM only for lumpsum orders. The NAV for such orders may vary from T day to T+5 day, depending on the day the funds are credited to ICCL's bank account. T day refers to the day on which the order is placed. For example, if an order is placed on Monday before the cut-off time of 2 PM through UPI or Netbanking (direct settlement banks), then T day refers to Monday. If an order is placed after the cut-off time, then T day would be the next working day. Similarly, for Netbanking (non-direct settlement banks), T day refers to the same day if the order is placed before the cut-off time, or the next working day if placed after the cut-off time.

If you sell Gold ETFs you will have to pay Capital gains tax & expense ratio will be charged on a daily basis, which is then deducted from the net asset value (NAV) of the ETF

If you check any Gold FoF, they in turn invest in these Gold ETFs as the underlying asset, because of which there is another additional leg of expense ratio on FoF's (but usually it is very tiny addition). IMO, it is fine to go with Gold FoFs too, it doesn't make much difference over a very long period.
