A pyro rework would probably return the pierce, but at the cost of something else. Probably something like a burst time or each enemy set on fire gets damaged less until you reach 0
I'm pretty sure they nerfed it because people were abusing it in the PVP test mode to basically trivialize the early game. I think it's pretty lame to nerf it cause it was good during a testing phase, they should only have it's pierce limit in PVP modes where balancing matters a lot more.
You forgot, the polluted wastelands also got a shadow update. You start off with 400 cash now instead of 600. The hazmats have a new model and went from 50 hp to 150.
@@ignite5407 tghen why the helll do they get to capitalize on it and sell it as a product? Not evern 4 weeks ago or so. It was for sale for a limited time. If they get to be neglectful in its balancing cus its "rare exclusive" they shouldnt be able to jangle it like a set of keys to sell and profit from.
@@ignite5407 You're sucking off the devs in every comment reply chain, and reasonably so. At a surface level glance, it's one of the smartest/tried and tested solutions a game balancer could use. An [X] is too powerful, just nerf it so [Y] can be more viable. But you're ignoring other factors. Pyromancer may be roughly around the same tier as the main explosive towers it competes with, but then why should Golden Pyro not have a higher lighting capacity or just no lighting limit at all? The Golden towers are the ultimate endgame defining thing in TDS, people really forget that just because they have them doesn't mean they're easily accessible and are to be treated at the same standards as other meta towers. Of course this doesn't mean the golden towers should be at the top of every other tower, invalidating all other options. But they should definitely be at least great choices. And Golden Pyro was indeed a great choice. The explosive towers accompanying it weren't unusable in comparison, they were at times worse but offered much better late game crowd control. This nerf doesn't do anything but harm the balance of the game and make a once reliable tower into a more 'well I sure do god hope that it can actually hit the enemies this time yippee dee doo!!!' tower. They could've nerfed its range.
Cowboy, and Gold Cowboy also got nerfed (a little) When they shoot the "broken down" version of the breaker it doesn't count towards the cash shot. (May be a glitch idk) I'm pretty sure they saw how overpowered Pyro & Cowboy were in PvP so they nerfed them.
so much stuff changed in this update (such as rewards) without being in the patch note to the point i wonder if it is intentional or just a bug. moltens reward got nerfed to 300 but when u pick the gamemode and u hover on molten, it still reflects the old reward
Man. If Pyro did get nerfed then he is useless in Hardcore mode now. That means u need to change strategy in the early game with Electroshocker and Brawler. Both of them can Detect Lead but their second detection types are diff. Brawler detects Hidden and Electroshockers detect Air on level 2. So yall need to change your strategy book if u wanna farm Hardcore Edit: people have beaten/farmed Hardcore with just Brawler and Electroshockers. These 2 towers are good combos in some of the maps so if u have any towers that are suitable on that said map aside from Electroshocker and Brawler then go at it
well they have two options... nerf... explain themselves and thier reasoning... still get disrespected but atleast theres a reason and anyone with reasoning and logic can appreciate the update for what it is even if they disagree. Or.. be a cuc shadow nerf the tower behind your back feel lied to and weather or not you agree with the reasoning still be pissed cause fuck yall for doin me like that.

The sad part is that cowboy also got shadow nerfed breaker's breakers don't give money so that prob means anything that's not natural doesn't give money
i think the nerf is a bit overkill. maybe something like a burst time like the cryomancer would’ve been alright. however, g pyro was meta crowd control and them nerfing him now makes tds so much harder
This explains why I was struggling the first time playing mission 3 because I used him for early and it was leaking a lot to the point where it was pointless to use him
Question did anybody else notice that the game is more lagging i think its because of the new money popups that get too many in late game. I lagged out twice in Badlands 2 and my Roblox just crashed.

Pyro wasn't really that good since you effectively need 1 pyro for early defense and mid to late game defense melting. Pyro is amazing to deal with small multiple enemies such as breakers, but now breakers are pyro's counter.
The same thing with ace. Its literally do 6x less damage than must. At lvl 4 its 8dmg firerate 0.15, so it must do about 80-100 dmg to single target on the one circle, but it deals about 20-30
@@Pyromaniac-bt6jd What are u talking about. G crook is the best mid game tower in the game and even tho I agree g mini does need another upgrade it is still the best solo tower. G scout and g soldier are the best early towers and so is g cowboy cause it makes cash. That leaves pyro which used to be one of the best mid game croud control towers

wow, I can’t believe the tower that is supposed to excel in crowd control excels too much in crowd control, to the extent where the devs need to nerf it.
This update brought us an good event, but broke the game on a subhuman level. The vanilla gamemodes are harder and give less, this pyro nerf, and enemies are broken aswell
Maybe it is just for the normal pyromancer because i have been using the gold pyro and i haven't seen that problem. but at the same time i am not the person to notice things.
Aleast the shadow nerf isn’t as bad as gladiators. They basically killed him with the ability change because by the time it activates the enemies are already at the edge of his range so he only gets like two to three slashes if lucky

if there was a pierce cap, pyro would at least apply burn effect to them. thats simply a bug bc most things got bugged in this update (damage dealer quest, intermediate hazmats in pw2, doubled modifiers in pizza party)...
Pyro will always target non-burning enemies first, and since it can only hit 5 enemies at once now, this can take longer to do, so setting it to random basically does nothing.
Nah they want their players to go to tdx now💀 they were cooking something big with the new mode but now they're just nerfing towers that people use alot
This is why I don’t play tds anymore. This update doesn’t even effect the high level players who wanted harder game modes. It effects the newer players who have no towers and have to grind for ages just to mini
Yeah, I think the bigger problem was PVP itself compared to Pyro, I mean seriously you cant even spawn bosses in PVP mode which would have a better time bypassing the Defenses of pyro.
also OVER HALF OF THE GAMEMODES rn are BUGGED, here is that full list of the bugs: -molten reward 300 coins instead of 400 coins -fallen rewards 550 coins instead of 700 coins -all modifiers on special modes are applied 2 TIMES (this causes MUCH MORE ENEMIES to spawn (on lost souls its even 10 TIMES MORE)) -commander dialogue from fallen mode apears on special modes -on pizza party on lost souls the colors are messed up, they are not black and white, they are just broken -badlands 2 doesn't reward ,,Defeated Gunslinger" and ,,Quickdraw Bagdes" -badlands 2 doesn't give you ability to purchase cowboy after triumphing it -badlands 2 doesn't give you badlands cowboy skin becouse you can't get quickraw bagde -PW2 hazmats are replaced with intermediate mode hazmats (AROUND 2K HP ON WAVE 7 IN TOTAL) I assume the reason behind those bugs is the fact that all of those modes were ported to new gamemode system, also the game is extremly laggy in late game on those modes becouse for some reason cash indicators (the ones that apear when you get money from enemies) APEAR EVERY TIME YOU DAMAGE ENEMIES so pro tip for everyone: play easy, intermediate and hardcore until those bugs are fixed
they either nerfed stuff or most likely tds devs broke everything like how tf im suppossed to play polluted wasteland and pizza party?? u get less cash in the start now (from 600 to 400)

They did this with scout during the Hunt. Make it a little better so it is used more during it. Nerf Pyro in the Classics since they spawn a lot if enemies. I will be very pissed off if this change stays
The game is going downhill I hate the new money prices after beating moletn fallen etc polluted has become kinda impossible to do pryo nerf is un needed and bro every tower is getting rework by making them more expensive and watch next they will nerf brawler, if a tower is too op why add it in the first place These reworks are essentially nerfs by making towers more expensive it’s harder to max stuff now
