Fallen and molten rework won’t fix everything, because there are two problems, the first: tds is too easy, the second: brawler and merc base are much better than other towers
Tax Evasion is actually pretty good and I do recommend getting it as max mastery tix removes the chance for mr tix to lose money from it, so don't hate on it until you try it :>
mercenary bse inst even broken bro he oly perform really good in some escenarios and that is balanced,but brawlers is op af, literally he perform absurdly at any map and literally is a all the game tower wich is absurdly op, not to mention they push back enemies too so that literally made some hard enemies a literally JOKE
You are very right with the brawler, its absolute broken in early, mid and late game, extremly cheap and with an extremely broken ability of pushing back anything. But i think merc base its quite balance, maybe in solo its quite broken and the place limit should be 2, but in trio squad you can only use 1. That means it can only go in 1 place, at the back prioritizing spawn units or at the front prioritizing 20% dmg boost to units, unless you are doing a back defence wich it makes the game extremely slow (and going full skip idk if its a good idea). And also it highly depends of the map (if only they added a nerf/buff reward system depending of the difficult of the map) But overall, i think tds is going trough a deep hole of "Reworking the gameplay" and because of that they are struggling with each rebalance, probably mostly so everyone its happy that they added a broken tower or they "rebalance" (aka buffing for the most part) the towers. Just wait and see DJ having almost no change beside a broken ability that give 20-40 % dmg boost for a period of time and having more place limit. I hope they notice what they are doing.😔
Fallen Rework wont save the game from power creep. I used to be OBSESSED with TDS but brawler and merc base make me feel so stupid because they have 0 weaknesses. I want to at least strategize when playing but this game became so accessible and it’s literally just going to end up like Overwatch. Reworks are also overpowered as hell. Ace gives PERMANENT HD DETECTION. Military Base has an unnecessary spammable aoe ability. Engineer got overtuned god knows why. Commander chaining nerfs got ROLLED BACK because the community genuinely doesn’t know how to play a tower defense game. It makes me so upset to the point that i went back to BTD6 because i wanted something to challenge me while i can have fun. BTD6 executes it really well. Despite the flaws, casual and competitive play can both co-exist through smart(ish) balance, events etc. Nearly all roblox td games have done nothing to break the mold, it’s literally just power creep hell as far as i am aware. I really hope a game uses the bloons model, it is a great foundation to work off of.
I think it’s because THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PRO PLAYER TOWERS?? You don’t think the developers would make brawler and mercenary base this strong if it was for coins💀
ah yes brawler for pro players, half the gem cost of accel, cheap, high dps, stalling, high range (punching range > big stick), repositioning, and to top it off with stun immunity, truly a pro tower for level 50+
My nerfs to merc base and DADDY: Merc base: Rioter hp:2250-2000 1000-800 Medic rework:now can reinforce hp by healing but shield only prevents units from being killed by stuns and no longer makes rioters chads Grenadier nerf:max dps nerf from 51-30dps by making firerate 1sec but dmg only 32 Rifleman dps buff:30-45 dps Ability cost 2500-5000 Range from 7-10. (This is supposted to make merc high skill cap tower wich you have to focus way more than other towers if you want succes) Daddy: Starting dmg 10-7 Knockback immunity 10secs (Hopefully this makes him worse support than warden but better dps tower wich will most likely make warden good again)
with your nerf to merc base nobody will use the rioter since grenadier is still decently strong while the rifle man is even better but the rioter dps got cut inhalf for no reason doesnt help that you want to nerf medic for rioter too as of right now grenadier stack is just as good or maybe even better than rioter with your change it will make rioter usesless
Why do we keep getting op tower's that are good all around, why can't we have some glass cannon like tower that in some cases is op but has some major drawbacks that we have to strategically accommodate for?
Mercenary base is not this broken, yea, its definitly amazing but then reminder that this tower actually requires some set up to get most out of it: -good placement close to the path -good placement close to other towers for the damage buff -remembering to use airdrop in the right moment Also reminder that this is a level 150 tower, its supposed to be a tower that you use to destroy absolutly everything, I do think that they could slightly nerf it (mainly the grenadier) 4:27 crook boss doesn't have a limit ever since the rework Brawler other hands, literally just golden warden, DEFINITLY needs a nerf, its no joke only tower that involves major PowerCreep
That's the thing If Brawler got nerfed than we would just get pushed to a gladiator/shotgunner meta(like it was before brawler release) And if merc base got nerfed than we would just be in a engi meta so overall we would have weaker towers as meta but still very strong
Maybe instead of nerfing brawler how about making the price of brawler when purchasing it with gems, more expensive. So it could be somewhat worth, what it’s capable of doing in a match.

this games balancing has been trivialized ever since the march 2022 update changing accels ROF effected DPS at least in my opinion, most of the problems comes down to the gamemodes having been balanced around a meta that no longer exists, this goes for every single gamemode and not just the main 3 every gamemode was somewhat difficult at some point in time, and that seems to literally not be the case anymore unless you're purposely trying to make it harder for yourself the only exception is probably hardcore, with stricter money and a stricter wave structure it is the only gamemode to hold up against balance changes like this there's not a problem with making strong towers, it comes down to if the actual game can handle you making that decision
well said, i hope that fallen and molten rework are a step in the right direction which they seem like they are because according to the devs, after molten and fallen get reworked, intermediate mode will be the SECOND easiest gamemode which says a lot since it is still quite hard for a new player which is very good imo
Not only that but the game modes are so outdated especially hardcore and the main 3 game modes badlands acts more like fallen cuz most of the enemies are literally fallen mode enemies except that there are 3 lanes and the gun slinger boss but most of these towers are not outdated anymore hence why the game is easy
