It's his opinion on what he experienced playing it. You are forgetting graphics can immersive you as much as the gameplay. Ppl want to be immersed into a game.

I don't disagree with some of things your saying especially visuals. My big issue is price tag. Luckily I have game pass , so no problem. There isn't enough to retail this at 50 though.

Only thing that sucks is the not being 60 frames. I’m playing it perfectly fine I can feel the difference but it’s a story game where it doesn’t really matter.

@@danielcano4243 Just cause a game plays the same doesnt mean the story is. Also the puzzles are braindead in this game and even the first game was called a walking sim but by comparison, Hellblade 2 is entirely walking and cutscenes. Hell even the combat is worse.

@hh-dm6cp You're tripping dude, first of all, nobody is talking about the story. Puzzles are similar to the first one, some better, some worse but not so much difference. Both are walking simulators, if someone was expecting a different kind of game, that person is delusional. Combat has been improved , not a completely overhaul, but it's not worse like you're saying. If you don't like the game, that's alright but don't lie, dude🫤

Nothing I said was a lie, the puzzles are not similar to the first game, there are only three puzzles where you have to find an environmental shape like in the first game and it is oversimplified in this game by having yellow moss that clearly indicates the objects you need to make the shape with. The bubble puzzles are so simple cause they always clearly open up the correct way and you only need to reuse the same bubble a couple of times. The braizer puzzles never require a single second of thought, you walk down a linear path and light or unlight whatever brazier you come across even if you don’t know how it will affect the environment, contrary to the portal puzzles in Hellblade 1 where there is much more back tracking and you have to reuse portals to accomplish you goal and proceed. Well you can make an argument that both games are walking sims, there is substantially more time of just walking and way less puzzles and combat in Hellblade 2 than the first game. The new combat system is worse and I will stand by that, there are no longer melee attacks, no longer charge attacks, no longer sprinting attacks, no longer locational interactions “such as kicking a Viking off a bridge”, no longer complexes combos, no longer the challenge of multiple enemies, no longer different move sets for you and enemies based on how injured you or they are.. There is now only a light and heavy attack and you fight one enemy at a time with Senua’s really limited move set. The one improvement to combat is the enemy move sets for the dragnir and undeads are better but the other enemies have worse movesets. And don’t be an idiot and say no one is talking about or cares about the story, several people have complained that the story is less gripping since it is told in a far more bland way and doesn’t connect to Senua as personally as the first game. So don’t make up some shit that I’m lying, I love the first game and think this game is ass.

It runs silky smooth on the series X, if you have a tv with VRR it runs even better. Also just a tip, try messing with the motion blur and see what looks best for you.

Graphics alone not really, but the game as a package its very good. Hellblade 2 is carried by its graphics, voice acting, animations, cinematography, story, sound design and polish. Its a unique experience that we haven't really had aside from the first one, but better. Its a matter of taste, and preference. Also keep in mind that the best way to even experience it on console, would require someone to have an Oled 4k tv with HDR, VRR, and a nice pair of headphones.
