Sung Sot Cave or its also known as Surprise Cave located on Bo Hon Island. This cave is considered the largest and perhaps the most beautiful cave in the center of Vietnam Ha Long Bay with an area covering up to 10,000 square meters. In order to go to Sung Sot cave, you have to get to Ha Long first, then take a boat or cruise tour from Ha Long cruise port located in the center of Halong city then cruise to Sung Sot cave. There are numerous 1 day or overnight cruise tours with Sung Sot Cave on their itinerary available to purchase at Ha Long Bay Port. Admission fee is required to visit the cave but usually is included in cruise package. Make sure you clarify that before purchase.
Once you arrive at the dock of Sung Sot Cave, you have to climb about 50 stairs (about 25 meters above sea level) to enter the cave. Wear comfortable clothing and drinking enough water keeps the body hydrated because you must climb several steps to reach Sung Sot Cave. Food, drink and restroom are available at the dock area.
