I'm going for the H 25 after searching a lot of information. For the price of €99,- you can't go wrong i guess (and if you handle with it safe you can enjoy the HD 25 for a long time).
After searching on the web i come to the conclusion that the HD 25 will stand above from all the other DJ headphones (for example the Pioneer HDJ x5 comes close). Specialy when it comes down to sound quality vs price. I will get my pair for €99,-.
The TMA-2s have been out since 2016, so it's not likely that they'll be discontinued for a while (that said, they have discontinued certain parts, like the velour on-ear pads). I know what you mean, though. The NOCS NS900 was a similar type of modular headphone, but they're no longer being sold, which kinda defeated their main selling point, lol
@@JamesMincey i bought a new pair of the modules and the drivers were giving me a distortion over drive signal...i thought they were gonna send new cans but they never did and they just stopped responding to my emails..took 3 months to get my refund after i mailed them back...i really wanted them...plus they didn't refund my shipping
Hey I was in your shoes a couple months ago, I worked hard and earned enough money to buy one I did mostly yard work but anything that’s consistant will work. Don’t give up you got it man
I've been using these (wired, with the S04 speaker units) for the past couple years and love them. I just ordered the S05 speaker units and E08 pads yesterday. Loving that I could just upgrade certain parts of the headphones rather than buying a whole new set. Now if only they could stop using that rubbery soft-touch finish, lol.
It's a good concept if it survives the market and does not get discontinued. But I personally likes upgrading every now and then and my cue to upgrade is when my gadgets start breaking. The latest is almost always the greatest.
I use to have the normal Tma-2, dj pre-set, they don't hold up to well, especially in humid climates, when I was traveling around Asia, the rubberisd coating got nasty and almost sticky, the cables also degraded, even I kept them in a dust bag after use.
Sennheiser HD25's were doing this decades ago though! If the sound is good i'll give them that but the HD25's are hard to beat..... especially if you can get the aluminium ones.
Ah this headphones, I remembered hearing about them around 2016/2017. It's very expensive once you start adding options, not to mention the shipping. It's not worth it for most of us.
Love this! Definitely going to look into these cans more! I couldn't even tell you how many headphones I've broken the last 25 years of djing. At least 40 pair could be more. Lol. Everything from cheap $10 to $400, but I will say I had a set of American audio 500's that outlasted every other set ive had including pioneer dj and technics and even a set of bose that were given to me (sound q was damn near perfect, one of the best sounding units I've ever stuck on my ears) but after 4 months of djing every weekend Friday and Saturday they snapped right at the left ear piece. With these the price is right and has a ton of options and replacable parts, Def would save me some $$$$ . Heck i think I've spent more on headphones than I have speakers and dj controllers and that's alot especially since I only use qsc speakers 🤣(of course if there's better and cheaper for a mobile dj let me know, however I'm in new Orleans so they must survive mardi gras lol, so far the qsc's are going on 10 years and still looking and sounding great 👍
I hear that on the headphones Archer! Actually switched to in-ears before I found these babies because the bands kept breaking. But headphones are an absolute essential in live mixing, so it's always best to go for a great pair!
Hey bro could you do a video about wireless setups with in ears? Like how does it work and what systems have no delay? I see people using these on main stages and I have no clue how it's rigged.
Those are nice, just remember you can find some headphones that come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty and you can add a 3 year extended warranty you can run em over and they'll cut a gift card of the price you paid including taxes to go replace it with anything you like.
since 1988 there is a headphone on the market where you can change every part on. and its also customizable. it will last a lifetime if you know how to handle it right. and yes, its a sennheiser HD-25-1. Got mine 18 years ago using it every day and know what? it has only the second cable and the third set of earcabs on it. and it sounds still like on the first day. oh and the best type of audio connection is still a cable - so nobody who wants to listen to music right doesent need wireless headphones anyway!
Thanks Sascha for this honest objective review. I will order my HD-25-1 (blue caps) right now for €99,-. I reviewed multiple sites and youtube videos and your message is what i read every where. Only the Pioneer HDJ-X5 comes close (but lacks on bass).
I love these headphones especially due to the replaceable paddding whatever quality whatever the price may be it will wear out but yeah these headphones are highly priced but if u have money u should definitely buy it
Bought the TMA-2 Studio last year for producing and DJing because I liked the whole idea of everything being replaceable. I don't know if it's just me, or is AIAIAI's quality control just hit or miss? The first pair I got, the right side was noticeably quieter than the left out of the box. I bought replacement speakers from Amazon and mailed back the originals as "defective". The replacements were good for about 2 months only to develop the exact same problem, to which I just contacted Amazon support and they made an exemption for me to return. I know, I could just get another replacement set but I don't know if I will run into the same problem again with more hassle. On the other hand my friend had his TMA-2 Studios for about 2 years with no problems.
@@djcarlo I have a feeling it might be their quality control as well, as I have another friend who said he no longer recommends AIAIAIs because his developed a similar issue to mine after 2 years, which is way beyond return/warranty period.
I bought the JBL Club One’s instead, there was a good deal for the Club One’s and they have ANC. Multipurpose headset... plus the TMA-2 had the lowest ranking on versus compared to the ones I was considering
the latency over bluetooth is not ideal for djing, but aiaiai makes the TMA-2 wireless+ that has a very good 16ms latency and its transmitter unit can connect to any deck (:
Hey Carlo, on my old channel which got terminated @mew685 I requested a video idea and that idea was if you could do the best budget Dj turntable and mixer set ups. I want that video because, I’ve been looking for a turntable setup for a while now and don’t know what one to get and most of them I find are either to expensive or they suck. Can you help me out? I would love to here from you soon, bye! Edit: I’m putting this comment because I forgot what you said on my old channel comment.
These headphones are all $200 plus . DJ headphones get abused, broken, stolen, misplaced, etc. I can find plenty of great sounding headphones, for lots less than $200+ dollars. The headphones I use at home, not for DJ gigs but personal use were more than $400. But they are my personal use ones. DJ headphones get used in places and ways that all of these fragile high price headphones will always end up broken.
Hey ,can u suggest me ? I want to buy Numatk Party Mix 2 conrtoller, as I'm a beginner . Should I buy it ? Or u suggest some other controller ??❤️ Pls reply.
Hi m8 just wondering were you get all your music i have no clue and i am wanting to get into djing but i have no vlue were to get free music please reply thank you
All that said. Aiaiai are asssssssss they dont even test if anything works before they ship because you have to build them yourself. The customer service is shocking i promise you. I actually bought a pair they were shipped broken. They dont sound good either, tested other non broken ones. There is a reason the hd 25 is still around.....
