me too, got it for 490 and a free silver mirror visor but shipping was 40 from canada so i have blk, clear and mirror for 530; great deal. hope i dont die if it is a weak helmet. carbon is stronger tho.

I am also outraged that the carbon version of the helmet is only available in one gloomy dull black color. This is a failure! The dark color heats up more in the sun. It is less visible. And it is just ugly. I prefer brighter colors to be more visible on the road for drivers, this increases passive safety. And a bright color improves your mood even when you just wear it.

If you want something nice and high quality built this is the best option and TSG is next as second position option. Just the feel and the looks is so much better than TSG. Predator really stepped up the game and improved in all aspects. Best I tried so far as I previously posted.

My close friend bought the same one and he is wearing glasses under and he is fine. The curve of the visor really makes it feel like it is on your face but it is curved and designed to feel comfortable and natural.

I tried out this helmet and it’s easily the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn. Only 1.8 lbs which is half the weight of a regular motorcycle helmet. Not worth $500 imo but $300 would be a good price. Also, a modular version would be perfect for all the glasses wearing folks

If you get injured after cheaper helmet and battery will be useless and a waste!

If you want high quality and a luxury carbon fiber than it's worth all that price.

There's a video on RU-vid of a guy crashing his electric unicycle at high speed wearing this helmet, he hit his head and survived just fine. This helmet is probably a little better than you think.

@@Dutch800 They might be okay for cruising at 12mph, but if you crash at 30mph, your plans for the day could drastically change. They aren't designed for the speed of unicycle riders; one rider crashed at 30mph and suffered a head injury. Additionally, their high price is unjustified and frankly ridiculous. You could buy a whole scooter for the same price.

No, it's not needed for what I use. A similar motorcycle helmet built with similar quality like this model will cost between 1k to 2k and I don't need the extra bulk and 3 to 5 lbs weight.

@@ElectricVehicleSpacethats blatantly false, decent integral motocycle helmet will cost +-$200, premium modular around $500 and premium modular carbon runs around $700 for the price of this helmet you can get lets say LS2 Advant X Carbon which is one of the best motorcycle helmets on the market mate ... these helmets are designed for cycling, skateboarding and paragliding they will NOT handle anything more than that - where i live if cops caught you riding even low power moto scooter with helmet like this you would get fined for insufficient head protection, now realize that some e-sooters these days can go more than twice the speed of the commuter moto scooter... and no these are NOT rated for 40 mph, by EU standard they are certified they are rated up to 25 KILOMETERS PER HOUR which is 15.5 mph ... less than HALF of what you claim here ...

it is not about thickness but quality, tech and parts used. There is a reason it only cost $50 :))
