Yeah I'm pretty sure the whole FBK Wendy's burger stream started the association with burgers. She was on steam looking at the menu and excitedly talking about burgers and trying to read the English names and such.
7:48 2 years ago, Watame used to eat some watermelons on stream while playing Minecraft, with PNGs of Watermelon, and it looks like she's wearing one of them as a helmet. Coupled with the fact that Watame and Melon combined can create the perfect combo: Watamelon (as in watermelon). Fans then edit her face on watermelons and it blew up. Some of the edits even has the Wooloo Pokemon as a base picture. Watame saw those memes and love them, to the point she made a Watame-lon Head Rap song in return.
My favorite is the Miko thumbs up. It’s especially good after someone posts a long unhinged rant, and you just reply with Miko giving them a thumbs up. 👍
So, the first meme about the "Good Ending: Burger" is kind of a complex one. So, the big overarching theme is the idea of cute anime girls eating burgers. You can find a bunch of images by simply googling. The second thing to notice is obviously how the interaction between Ina and Suisei is oddly convincing, even though they probably haven't had such a discussion. And the third big point is the "Good Ending" which is weird in a vacuum, however this portion is actually supposed to be kind of introspective, making you ask "If this is good, what does the Bad Ending look like?" which is supposed to add onto the overall warm feeling of watching the entire meme, realizing that Suisei getting her burger and being happy is the Good Ending.
Going one layer deeper, "549.99" the price Ina mentions, also turned into a meme in combination with Bae's repsone of "What a deal!" during their drawing collab.
There are also other ''[blank] ending'' memes with like bad/sad/weird/secret ending which (I think) come from the general concept of games/storys having multiple endings. The ending memes mostly use the classic black border, white letters, image in the center format with sound corresponding to the type of ending.
I could literally spend a whole day watching you react to Hololive memes. While some of these are pretty well known the Suise/Pacman clip was a knee slapper. The Kiara edit was perfect, and it's scary how relatable Mumei is.
It's a shame that PlatinumKnight's original Big Man Tyrone videos disappeared cuz the context is pretty much that a Hololive fan paid a lot of money for a grown man to act out Hololive skits in cosplay.
12:48 OH MY GOD This was my introduction to the Vtuber rabbit hole!! Seeing this makes me feel a bit old, but happy to where Watame is right now! So proud of the sheep!
It’s funny because Pekora getting panned 13 times is actually quite funny and accurate because she used to play TF2 and everyone knows when you played TF2 you will always getting Panned eventually
I discovered hololive from watching translated Meme reviews. I subbed to Coco after that, watched subsequent episodes and even though I didn't know Japanese, I understood and laughed at them. Memes. The DNA of the soul.
@@lazysean5418and her first bootleg merch that she found, is the fanart of her wearing Pekora's hair. Ironically on a backpack from a 3rd party seller at... Walmart.
Watame has a lot of great memes now that I think about it. Watemelon, warukunai yo ne, sheep head banging, the gangimari face I think it’s what its called, the look after staring below aki’s skirt, Ubersheep, and the Watame factory. This Sheep is too powerful.
11:14 Holy shit I just remembered there was a guy who spent hundreds of dollars on hololive stuff with this guy. There was a whole saga, it was a titanic event. I gotta watch them again, I hope they're still online EDIT PlatinumKnight has for some reason vanished, but there is an archive channel where the videos survive
*Koe shows Korone X-Men meme* Koe: I didn't laugh, that's just fing adorable as hell Funny how that's from the same clip where Koe lost the You smile You Lose Challenge. Eating Mike Tyson's...
Funny thing, Pekora has considered redoing her greeting... to get AWAY from the "almond almond" (which is supposed to be "doumo doumo", a light "hello") thing.
The hamburger thing was a meme a few years back, but using a clip of a man pronouncing hamburger in an odd way, and people often photoshopped a hamburger in and replaced people's lines with hamburger. It exploded in popularity very quickly and everyone forgot about it just as fast... or so I thought. Look up the knowyourmeme - Hamburger Sound Effect for the whole deal.
The Fauna hamburger clip (by SJtree) has another layer to it, it has an INFAMOUS comment on it. Some neuron-activated sapling said, "It sounds like Fauna is saying the safe word." And all the replies are other saplings going, "NOOOOO innocence lost, I can never go back!" It's so great. 😆
I'm not really that much of a meme guy because most of them are cringeworthy, but if they are with adorable anime girls, they are always so cute and funny. Thank you for all the amazing content, Koe.😁
I think the mic sounded a lot more clearer when you raised it close to the end, idk why it felt like you were talking from the other side of the door throughout this video lol I enjoyed the video tho, always fun watching your content, Koe
I gave you a like, Koe. You better deliver that Pekora intro when you hit 2k likes, and if you're late then I expect a Pekora outfit to be involved when you do it.
4:40 i imagine it is because kids like burgers, its like this goal food for kids. So the urge to want a burger(mcdonalds but lets not be so derivative as to exclude other brands) is shared among the community as this thing that we wanted as kids, a shared desire in our formative years. And then theres the endings format, where you showcase, for example a bad ending would be (for some) getting burger but its got pickles, it being bad becausenyou hate pickles and its a meme because its something you can emotionally share and bond over. So if we've established/most share this urge for burger from our childhood, then its a funny meme that the good ending is just simply acquiring burger.
The amane kanata context was she was farming for le bloo axtol, and i think it was nearly a week STRAIGHT or some decent period STRAIGHT of farming, and that was her reaction when she finally got it, TOTALLY can relate to the equivalent of getting a 5* in FGO(i lost my fae knights banners im sadge)
Anime girls and Burgers has been a thing even before Hololive, I'm in many Facebook groups that has anime girls and burgers as "Topics"(its like hashtags but in facebook groups). I think there's a subreddit for it too It's great
Except that it started as far as I'm aware with Fubuki's hamburger stuff, way before holocure was a thing. Yes, burgers in holocure are themself a reference.
