150 yds. Pretty good shooting. My youngest son is one of those guys that can just figure out how to do things right. About 5 yrs ago we were at a buddie's house shooting. Shotguns, rifles, pistols. We did a similar exercise with a pistol moving back 10 yds each shot. My buddy had one of the Glock's and showed my son how to shoot it. He made a shot just short of 110 yds. I wasn't real surprised. He is now in EOD school in FL. I pray for him constantly. He's a good man.
'Quit being a broke loser". 🤣🤣Love it! Almost 70 and went through life getting what I wanted the most with money management. Even if I had to work side jobs and cutting back on bad habits.
I will have to search for that video. Chadd is one of the best that I have ever seen...probably Top 10 in the country. I love Hickock45 and he is pretty damn good but 230 yds with a Glock 23 is a stretch in my mind. I consider myself an above average shooter but I have only been able to run my G23 (Gen2) out to 120 yds with no optics. That may be due to my old eyes however. I am old school, I still run iron sights on all of my handguns, it may be time for me to catch up with the current generation 🤔
I've shot a DWX & literally cut one ragged hole & then sent the rest of the rounds in the mag thru the same hole... They ARE legit super accurate and super reliable...
I'd do stuff like that, but not until I checked to see if I could buy the equipment and do it myself. Most people who know me, know quite a few of my quirks. I only like the best, not necessarily the most expensive (Chadd and his $2500 handgun + whatever that optic cost) I bet I can't shoot just as well with either, my Hellcat Pro, sans optic that I removed or my Canik TP9SF which will one day receive a Holosun when my wife isn't lookin'. Chadd not only would say because I'm a turd, but 100 yards with a handgun is essentially impossible. In our home, I'm the spender. I always have been. Could be because that one or fifty times, my mommy wouldn't buy me that toy I had to have in the store, that I have to make up for it as an adult. Who knows.
@@turn-n-burn1421 it’s because you didn’t get what you asked for! But did you actually need it when you were younger? The guy stuff…yah you do need that, it’s like groceries 🤣🤭
@@Rentcollector My wife is awake, but she still just prays everything will be okay. I, on the other hand do pray, but also prepare. I'm sure a lot of people in the US are more prepared than we are, but you might be surprised. There are things that she just doesn't deem important, but 'guy stuff', I do. NODs, real ones not these cheap Eastern Europe garbage Gen 1 things, more and more pew pew. While you can only use one at a time unless you're in a Hollywood movie, what if one malfunctions, what if you need an emergency part and then need the two is one, one is none deal? I have tons of radios and batteries and a few of the military whip antennas. We need bump helmets, NODs and ever more guns. Most everything else, even things that aren't meant for us but to barter, we have. Sometimes in gross abundance.
@@turn-n-burn1421 speaking of barter great point. You can’t survive locked in a bunker. You needs chickens, sheep, goats , land for forage, gold n silver real money. Mom doesn’t need to everything 😉
@@Rentcollector We don't live IN the city, but we do live in city limits, alas no farmland. I've told her we need to buy some acreage around here. I keep an eye on Texas all the time, not for land, just the goings on. I don't count on our purple government to become a seceding, sovereign nation. So we wouldn't stay here on purpose. But moving yet again, please God, no. We've been here six years and some things still sit where the movers placed them. But this is the year. We're united on that. Just in time to pack up again and move. I pray not. We do have some of the other items.
Impressive shooting for sure. But Hickok did have a video of 230 yards on the gong. Gong probably a lot bigger but a Glock 27 bro! Invite him on the show that would be a sick episode.
I like you, young gun! I'm a 62 year old shooter since the age of 8.... live in the country of NC and feel a lot of your video messages are "on target" ... keep making them, and I'll keep watching ! 2 aata boys!
I got CZ custom shop S2C a few weeks ago and it may be best gun in my collection. The trigger is fantastic, single action is around 2.25-2.5 lbs. and smooth as silk.
I love this guy. Thanks for his service God bless him his family and businesses. God bless all our troops. In the 80s and 90s I had a dan Wesson 44 cal 10 inch barrel. Crazy big great gun that is a nice gun I'm getting off you tube going to hustle up work more for that new pistol.
Looking for a high end gun in these times. Most of us don't have that kind of cheddar to spend on that beauty...she sure is perdy doe. Hey I should start a RU-vid channel like yours so I can make that guwop like big daddy does. I am just playing bro...nice side arm I am happy for you, couldn't have happen to a better guy. You look excited about it and brings you joy that's what counts in the end . Sincerely congrats on the new addition hope to see more videos in the future on it. Take care and stay safe, maybe see you out there on the battlefield one day defending freedom. Let's hope it never comes down to that. 🙏
You're totally right about using a red dot on a pistol. There is a learning curve and you have to practice with a constantly to be able to see that red dot instantly when you draw the gun. That's not as easy as everyone thinks.
I have to agree with you on the DWX, I have one also, which prompted me to get the CZ Shadow 2 compact that damn thing is phenomenal. I dropped my DWX off at Vulcan Machine Werks in Plano to get the optics cut for a fraction of what you paid plus they take care of veterans. Keep up the good videos.
Chadd had the Trijicon optics plate that has a 1/3 co-witness rear sight on it installed with his optics cut, which is a $260 part. If you mount it direct it’s $260 less.
I agree ☝️ own CZ-75 and P-07. 1911 be 1911 and love it’s design. I can afford Dam Wesson, my goal is to get Nighthawk 1911. Much more than Dan Wesson.
I have a P-01 I had the protection package done and replaced the polymer guide rod with a stainless one. It was great before and after the job it is crazy good.
After about 8 lazy years I took my Ruger Mk 2 and 200 rds for some plinking. Took all of 190 to work the shitty out and get in the groove like I used to be. Those last 10 shots were wonderful...but the ammo was out. Lesson learned, have to keep practicing.
The indoor range is only 50 yards. It a bout an hour to stretch her out unfortunately for my situation. Thanks for the content truck talks and the backyard. You a good man Chad. 🙏
Chadd you need to set up a package call it "A day with Chadd" starts early with a crossfit type workout and breakfast then off to the yard to try and hit targets with all kinds of shooting aparatus. Then a lunch shake. Then a long trail run and then a big a$$ steak dinner. Lace the day with all kinds of mindset training and tips and tricks. Cap it at 3-5 folks a day. Make it a saturday so folks can fly in and out and still be able to do their business. Just an idea
I just closed down a business I ran with 2500 laying hens. It's not really that lucrative unless you get like 5000 or more, and then at that point you'd need employees to help. I only had help one day a week for 4 hours to wash the eggs. It's a tough business, lots of competition. The Amish around me all use thier kids as free labor, hard to beat that
Thanks for reviewing, I have been eying that pistol ever since they put it on the market but I was in school and pandemic hit so it’s still on my wish list. I had a cz p07 it shot really nice , I called it the EZ p07 because it was so easy to shoot compared some other pistols. Even the Glock was harder to shoot for me. I don’t need a gun like it for carry just a little cz rami would do. I had a sig saur p365 it was a little small. I just a video on guns in my wish list actually two videos and the dwz was on the list.
Man pretty much, anything CZ makes is gold and now they took the 1911 trigger with the CZ Shadow ergos, how can you beat that. Yes it should have came optic cut ready but I do prefer to cut the slide to my preferred optic due to the better tight fit and no damn optic plate. They should offer the grips different colors and a solid flat trigger.
@3 of 7 Project I totally get you being so happy about hitting that steel at 150 paces. Best I ever did was last year with a borrowed BFR single action revolver in 45-70: I hit dinnerplate-sized steel at 200 metres with one shot. I was dang proud of myself and quite happy! I am also lucky to live in the countryside. However, here in Germany (not a free country, anymore), you can only shoot at the range. Everything else is illegal. That being said, I go to range between once and three times a week. Plus lots of dry-fire practice at home. Well Chadd, thanks for all your videos and your honest words!
I rang a 125yd 16" plate with a .22 Llama micro 1911, then a Beretta 81 in .32acp, then 5 out of 6 from a Springfield Lightweight Compact Range Officer in .45acp. All were iron sights no red dots. I'm not that great a shooter just decent. People greatly underestimate the range of most firearms. Handguns are made for short range self defense. However, nobody told the bullets they are just for close range, they don't stop there!!! Great video!!
1st video of yours I've watched... this is what I loved: 1. If you can't afford it; level up and earn some money. Stop complaining about it. 2. If you're fat; your guns are useless... get in shape. 3. Some of you don't like the way this looks; this means you have bad taste. Amazing... keep on calling them out!
I’m not a big Hickok fan. Don’t watch 45 min videos. But did a long time ago. A few anyway. Saw him lob some lead you could see the whole way to the gong if you looked close enough. He was chillin..Once you are living in the country a while, you can’t go back to the city. Ok to visit but home in the sticks can’t be beat.
Hickok doesn't live in the country, but he does live just out of city limits. He lives in Joelton, TN. I live just inside city limits, same as when I was still in Tennessee.
Man I just came across your channel. Not sure where you are in GA but lived in Rome and Cave Spring for 10 years. If I still lived there I would shake your hand. Keep up the great videos and thank you for your service
I see your 150 yard, five inch match-grade barrel against my Father and his favorite S&W J-Frame at 200 yards _consistently._ Mind you, he was a former Olympic Level Pistol Shooter after his Navy career concluded. Truly the last of the tougher generation. You know the type - back when you could still physically discipline your insubordinates but I digress. It was because of this up-bringing that I spent the majority of my youth on the One Thousand Yard Range at Ben Avery Shooting Facility. Started out behind the entire M1 family of rifles and worked my way up the caliber spectrum. Iron sights first before I was ever allowed to use an optic. The final accomplishment was my inauguration into the One Mile Club at the world famous Gunsite Academy in Paulden, AZ. After that, I had no more mountains to climb. Now I just try to enjoy the hobby to the best of my ability. By that I mean, trying to incorporate as much range time as I can with my aging Father. His marksmanship is the one skill of his that never seems to deteriorate. After all, a J-Frame at two hundred yards is truly a sight to behold. Stay classy my friend.
I haven't met Hickok 45, but he didn't live that far from me, and me and my wife went to a Tea Party event one day and he was one of the speakers. Of course, now he lives about 800 miles from me.
I am kind of new to the firearms scene. I bought my first pistol (CZ75BD) back in Dec 2023 and bought a SOLGW Legacy 5.56 (Loyal 9) MILSPEC furniture FSB, LFT in January from Brownells. I have been to the range once with my 9MM and am waiting on my cleaning kit that should be here tomorrow before I head to the range with the AR15. I had to get a case (Magpul R44 hard case) and a sling Magpul MS-1 and bulk ammo for both calibers. I plan to hit the range this week. Those are pretty nice shots at those distances with that silhouette that does need pain eagle eye.
That’s a beautiful gun, I’m a huge fan of the SRO as well. My son and I shoot 1 to 3 times a week. Most of it is in a indoor range. We do need to get outdoors more, but the indoor is 2 miles away from where we live. We just have to stop being lazy. We just started taking it seriously may of 2023. But we both can notice a huge difference from when we started and now. We also started working out 5 to 6 days a week around the same time. I just noticed I was watching to much tv and he has cerebral palsy and was playing way to much video games. But this has helped us drastically. At the same time brought us both closer. So it’s a win win in my book. Love the 3 of 7 Project, thanks for doing what you guys do.
AHAHAH!!! "Quit being a Broke Loser" Best quote ever. Where did you get the optics cut on the DW? That was the only thing I didn't like about that exact DW. Looks like you took care of that issue!
I installed an aftermarket threaded barrel on my G17 and the accuracy improved significantly. Consistent 100+ yard hits on a 12 inch plate with iron sights. After each magazine, cease fire and run to the target and back, then do 20 push ups and resume shooting. The alternative is to do 1 push up per round loaded in your mag(s) prior to sending downrange.
Bro I finally found you. I seen one of your videos on Facebook talking about how people should exercise their 2nd amendment and brother. Thank you for your service. 💪 💯❤️🫡
andy frisella owns first form. he has his own podcast, and it's one of the best podcasts on RU-vid. the dude is seriously awesome. Chad was on it multiple times
Great weapon. I have two of it's cousins. The CZ Parrot which is A safe queen and the CZ Shadow 2 orange. The CZ Orange I do shoot and have 2200 rounds through it with no failures of any kind. I am so impressed with this weapon It is my EDC in the winter time even though it is nearly twice as heavy as my Glock 19X. I shoot better with the CZ and is now my favorite pistol. Great video. I shoot 10 rounds A day or more when I am home. I have steel targets in my backyard.
I have DWX compact and it is the best pistol i've ever owned or shot as well. It's my EDC and range gun. Had the slide cut for an RMRcc. 150 yards is insane dude. My hits stop after 50.
I found this channel because of your FJ60. I had a '83 FJ60 the same color as yours. So sorry I sold it 15 years ago. Happy to see you restored to original. I have a 2009 76 Series now. Gotta love a Landcrusier.
I own an S&W.40 sve Jericho 941 rpl.40 Glock 19c 9mm Each gun is a different tool. Stating a hammer is better then this hammer 🔨 would depend on the job you need to use the hammer for. For reliability and power IWI Jericho For fast shooting back on target like a defense situation the glock 19c For budget the S&W
It's honestly hard to beat the sdve 40. I own 2 never any problems. Even took out my Ole Taurus g2c yesterday and forgot how great it's shoots. Once their broken in and oiled they run nice I'm still working on my p10c cz the stupid slide stop spring it's going back to cz
I’m a Glock guy , mostly because that’s what I learned on . Id like to try other weapon systems but I’m always worried of forgetting the safety on . Cz vs sig? What do you recommend
@JamieFaux-qi6ip neither one get you a IWI Masada or a PSA dagger. I'm a big cz lover but slowly becoming a cz hater I have 2 a po9 so far so good and a p10c that has been a headache since I owned it. The old cz are good but seems like the newer like 2016 and up are very questionable. Or get you a Walther
In 2005, Dan Wesson was acquired by CZ-USA, and the brand took off as the standard for quality, American made 1911s. In the decades that followed, Dan Wesson produced some of the finest 1911 handguns on the market, including staples such as the Pointman, Heirloom and the 10mm Specialist.
I’m ashamed to say I haven’t shot since 2017! I tore my shoulder up had surgery then had to have the other shoulder done. But I’m over the fear of pain and getting back out on the range.
I have DWX, it is one lovely gun! You wont be disappointed. But it has 3 actual issues: 1) No optics cut, and this gun is already at $2K. 2) red anodizing on the trigger shoe and grips is extremely weak, it will start coming off after the first week of usage. I suggest to replace grips immediately, good one is made by Lok. 3) Trigger shoe is not comfortable, it has sharp corners. And even though the pull is light, it will hurt your finger. I would immediately replace it with the curved one. CZ sells several different versions for DWX but they have some kind of shipping delay problem. I purchased new trigger about a months ago, still waiting.
Sell some Chickens? OK. What I notice about expensive stuff is a lot of people are repeat buyers of cheap crap. The own a low end 700, a couple of Savage rifles, etc... Rather than owning one good rifle. Admittedly, this is made easier by the fact that the cheap stuff today is still pretty accurate and functional. I think it is a function of consumerism. People take in all the ads for cheap stuff, and they want to try it out, and then down the road they realize that they are in possession of five rifles, or whatever, none of which is that great, but they spent maybe 3 grand.
I'd say the majority of people here can't or won't be able to afford Chris Kyle level rifles. I have a basic Remington 700 LA that came mounted in a Magpul Hunter chassis, has a decent scope SWFA and I still haven't managed time to get it zeroed. I have a few pew pews. I don't have any customs. Most people are going to be happy they have what they have and I'm a person that's hard to please with possessions. But the reality is that most people can only have what they can find a way to get. My wife, although she never knew the limit on it, nearly murdered me when she found out I had a credit card. And then I got a loan to pay that turkey off with enough extra to buy the Hellcat Pro and some Jeep parts. I'm essentially happy with my 2A stuff, but I'm always looking how to make them better when the reality is more practice with what I have will make ME better.
I see what you're saying, but for me I would rather have a variety of older guns instead of one $2k gun. I have several pistols and each one offers me something different, and it allows me to tinker and have downtime if needed.
@@mediocreman2 The closest thing I have to a $2K firearm and it basically was $2000 is my Spikes Tactical Pipe Hitters Union AR. Then I added an LPVO, so now it's well over 2K. And it's not custom, unless you count me doing things to it. I looked into things like various handgun customizations and I don't think I trust shipping half of my handgun, wondering if I'll get it back and if I do, will it be butchered. I certainly have no interest in custom springs. One of the lowers on one of my ARs has a lot of trinkets, but I did all of that myself. And the entire thing is a Frankenrifle. I do like nice stuff, and although name brands don't always mean you're getting the best, they do get a reputation for a reason. So I own some Trijicon optics
@@steemerxaxon1643 I know a bit about how that works, but even if he was cut a deal, I'm fairly sure Chadd bought the gun. The ammo? Not too sure on that. That's why I'm not at the range every week. I'm gonna need that ammo when they get here. All that lead buried in berms at the range ain't gonna help me then. I do practice but not enough because I'm a fat, lazy turd.
I have an FNX.45 and I appreciate it more and more, everytime I go out, and throw a box or three, at the range. It has a Trijicon Red Dot adjustable sight. Acquisition is very nice and once zero'd, very accurate. I really appreciate a good, reliable tool. Peace Brother
The Tactical? I can't add a photo here, but I had one in FDE with a matching Trijicon RMR, but sold it. It's the kind of gun that's like eye candy. Had no use in the current environment. I couldn't show it off by wearing it on my hip. And just the gun was $1100, then the optic was another $500. I loved owning it, but I wasn't accurate with it because I don't have the approved budget for unlimited ammo. Honestly, my wife doesn't even know how much ammo I do have, because I have to sneak it in to other purchases. A lot, but not enough to waste by practicing. I don't know what pay level Chadd was in the Navy, but if he is literally buying all of this and living the life he is, he's selling all of the chickens. No wonder the things are so expensive. All this time, I've been blaming the Obama proxy Biden.
I think Vedder Holsters will custom make you a holster for that pistol. Ive been very happy with their craftmanship on several of mine. I have targets set up and shoot weekly. Its a passion of mine
There are ranges like that in Tennessee, but not any that I know of around his house. His yard only goes out to around 2-300 yards. If you ask him on his channel, maybe he'll tell ya.
I once made a 300 yard pistol shot on steel at 300 yards with my staccato it was ridiculous. I actually hit its several times but it was hard to hear the impacts at that range. Had to hold like 8 ft over the target.
I have the compact version it’s an amazing pistol, super reliable and accurate and it takes the CZ 75 compact magazines which are very easy to find and reasonably priced
