Can we have a whole series on beauty care. Proper way to exfoliate face and body. What are natural ways to take care of the exterior (face and body), sunscreens, oils, moisturizers etc….
For decades, I have exfoliated both my face and elbows with baking soda that's been sprinkled onto a hot warm wet washcloth...[after first softening the skin up with a warm wet washcloth]. Be careful and make sure the soda dissolves into the damp washcloth first, then gently exfoliate the face, you don't want to have an abraded appearance. Then you gently rinse it off with lukewarm or cool water. Then you can use a cold, wet washcloth, as a cool compress, if you want, after you're done, before applying moisturizer.
Totally agree with this video. No matter how much water I drank, I still had dry, dehydrated skin which could end up itchy & burning. The Dr's creams were rubbish.
Have you tried using cremes made with Mango Butter? Mango Butter is great for itchy skin, especially for those of use with eczema (which is what I have). Lotions used to sting and burn, but the Mango Butter calms and soothes the skin.
Once Again Dr. BERG is 💯% correct, here is why. "Lamer" beauty secret ingredient is seaweed broth! Also when I was experiencing under active thyriod issues and got extremely dry hands and feet. I started eating fermented seaweed salad with in days!!!!! My hands, feet and breast got soooooo SOFT it was unbelievable. *Note when you go to a Asian nail salon how soft their hands are, because their diet is rich in seaweed! 😲
The miracle broth in La Mer is truly amazing!! Unfortunately the SECOND ingredient in the cream is mineral oil :( as a licensed Esthetician who has access to this product at work I don’t reach for it when recommending products to clients because of that reason. I wish they would change it back to the way they originally formulated it!! It’s over $300 an ounce yet has the cheapest filler in it it’s sad.
Here is how to further extract the nutrients from the chia ,seaweed as well as almost any herbs. Grind up using a coffee grinder. Put the powder in a espresso machine with some water. The heat and pressure will extract a lot more nutrients and oils. Then slowly add the olive oil and use a immersion blender to emulsify the oil and water mixture. Now you will have a cream like olive oil lotion that was professionally made in your own kitchen
@@aliasamw not sure how long. I've been using the bottle for maybe 6 months made too much. a little goes a long way. sure it does lose some potency over time. my skin is soft and it clears up dry flaky skin like overnight. also helps with blisters when working in the garden.
2 T water, 2 t ground chia seeds, 1 t seaweed powder, 1 t extra virgin olive oil. Mix well, apply to face, let absorb for 15 minutes. Wash off with oatmeal or goat's milk soap. Gee, Dr Berg. I feel pretty! Oh so pretty! Pretty and witty and bright!
As a mechanic back in the 60’s I cringe when I think back about the chemicals I used without having skin protection for my hands . I don’t know what damage I could have done to myself . I do have arthritis I’m sure contributed , only time will tell what other organs will suffer . The Nitrile gloves today offer a lot of protection not only for mechanics but gardeners using pesticides. Thank you sir , better late than never taking care of my skin .
I am a man in average health. I haven’t used soap in ten years on my face. I splash water to clean it, and gently pat it dry. I don’t use face moisturizers either. My skin is no longer dry, it stopped getting oily in the summers, and it doesn’t break out anymore. One other reason for your skin issues or flaking scalp might be high cholesterol. Get checked. Blood health is real health.
I make my own body butter with ingredients such as shea and cacao butter and once a week I make a face mask consisting of chia and flax seed powder with a little manuka honey. My skin loves it😊. But Dr Berg is correct, healthy eating and stress management are the best remedies for radiant and youthful skin.
Pam Bilyeu here…. All these ‘skin care’ systems are so stripping of the skin…and the face…they strip the acid mantle off and dry it out. The less you do the better. This sounds like a very nourishing and restorative recipe. I would use a vit E coconut and olive oil blend to lightly seal in moisture after a shower. Also can add aloe vera gel. All my post surgical clients i have use vit E and aloe to heal the scars and their surgeon are amazed how nice their incisions heal. MOISTURE is KEY.
So many years dealing with extremely dry skin and eczema and at last you gave me light on how to solve it. Not even dermatologists have given me this advice. Thank you so much! 💕💕💕💕
Years ago I asked my dermatologist about using witch hazel. She had no clue what it was, let alone the benefits of it - other than having heard the name before. That was a HUGE factor in my waking up to the fact that Rockefeller Medicine trained doctors have no real idea what they are doing.
I use organic rosehip oil pn my face daily and organic cold pressed coconut oil on all my body👍 I eat lots of organic grass fed butter...butter makes everything better😊
Dr Berg, cannot thank you enough. You are MEDICINES’ GIFT TO MANKIND🥰. Your videos are super informative and the presentation style makes it easier to understand.May your tribe increase
I have learned so much in a short amount of time from watching these videos than I even thought possible! I’m a huge reader but it takes a lot of time to learn what Dr. Berg is breaking down and giving out. Thank you!!
I just tried it, for some reason it wasn't very homogenous and took time to distribute it over my face. it is hydrating indeed, I could feel the seaweed working on my skin. when I washed it off my skin looked refreshed and less wrinkly!
@@Heseesyou I used chlorella powder which I sometimes use for my smoothies (in very small amounts). It has a natural growth factor which is great for cells. For me, Dr. Berg's recipe was too much, half the recipe would have been enough for my face. As Chia thickens the mixture I would only prepare the amount you need for one face mask. My skin was a bit sensitive for a while after I washed off the mask, so I would do it again in the afternoon maybe and not evenings.
I have SIBO with auto immune symptoms and just like Doc says everything goes to the gut microbiome. I order a big jar of quality beef tallow and then get it warm and blend it very well in blender so it is “whipped tallow” I put this in mason jars in the fridge and then fill my small jar I keep in the bathroom. It is amazing, inexpensive, lasts a long time, very moisturizing. The one I buy has no odor. Essential Depot I think. I slather it on, add a little salt for exfoliating, washcloth off, then apply another coat. If I have a bunch of mineral sunscreen on I use a little Dr bronners soap. Always looking for less toxic ways. ✌️
Thank you Dr. Berg! I work at a home improvement store with poor indoor air quality. My face has aged rapidly since working there as well as my body becoming chemically sensitive. Can't wait to whip up this recipe and give it a try 🙏
Been taking a salmon oil supplement (capsules) for years and it keeps my skin baby soft and my skin is never dry. I notice a difference in the softness of my skin whenever I am not consistent.
OMG So good! I loved this mask! Mom's Quote "Even the wrinkles on my forehead are not as bad" lol Dr Berg, making all the women look good! Thank you! Your page should be the top searched page on the internet
Thank you so much for this Dr. For 4ys. I'v been suffering from extreme itchiness and when scratch my skin get darker. Since the borders closed couldn't access any proper medication and it got worse. Couldn't even wear any undergarments that much I suffered. Finally met my GP and she took blood test to find out I'm deficient in iron, Vit. D. But she couldnt identify why I was having a severe itching. Now that I'm taking prescribed Vitamin D and got a Iron fusion. I'm bit better. May be it could have been for vitamin def. And my skin looked pale and dry. Still the same. I think Dr. Berge's videos helped me a lot that no doctors can identify what's going on even if they do multiple blood tests.
I love your short snippets of video. An amazing content to bring awareness to health and wellness. Thank you Dr Berg. You make me happy, hopeful and in high spirits.
So interesting. I’m using plenty of cod liver oil in my salads or soft boiled eggs and sometimes with my cold meats. Almost never got a burn since using this data of yours 5 years ago! Used to burn within 30 minutes of sun exposure…So thank you so much for your videos hard work!!
New subscriber here, and I am approaching 18 hours of what I hope can be at least a 60 hour fast. Drinking water with sea salt, green tea with slice of lemon. And a multivitamin daily.
EGFR targeted therapy has completely dehydrated my skin, and nothing has helped. My skin flakes badly and worse it's quite visible😩. I will be trying this. Thank you!
I only apply coconut oil on my body (leave it on for 20 minutes) right before I have my evening shower. I immediately exfoliate my skin with a body scrub with warm water, then cool water. I do this once or twice a week. Coconut oil applied on skin can also clog pores, therefore I’ve recently used jojoba or grape seed oil on my skin. It works like wonders and I’ve navigated away from coconut oil application on my skin.
In the beauty community "slugging" is the rage. Put a thin layer of vaseline on top of your favourite moisturizer. It locks in the hydration. I tried it and im amazed by the results. To lessen the sticky feeling rub the vaseline really well between hands for it to become warm and better spreadable and then I press it onto my skin. Theres a lot of missconception about vaseline causing acne and other skin problems, but vaseline is non comedonegenic. There are lots of stories about people actually healing their acne. Because the vaseline also creates a protective barrier for the skin to heal. Anyway do your research its very fascinating and im so thrilled by my own results and try it out:)!
😃seaweeds!thank you again Dr.Berg I’m always waiting for your new upload video ,I’ve learned a lot😃🤩and feeling wonderful doing intermittent fasting 🤗watching from japan🇯🇵
I used 100x wash ghee moisturiser, since I banned any petroleum based - i.e. commercial -moisturisers I need much less of it. I dont actually need to do the "wash" 100x, but about 30, as I use a copper bowl, so the cu ions go into the cream, and beat it with cold water. I make my own ghee from butter derived from grass fed cows. My skin is excellent. It only takes about 2 -3 hours to make enough to last for at least 3 months, even up to 6. I'm going to try beating a little of it with over soft avocado's and a little olive or coconut oil too.
This is the TRUTH people. I experienced these issues and made the necessary changes mentioned in his videos and it worked. GOD is good and is using this man to help us naturally. It may take longer but truly works, don’t give up and stay consistent ❤
I have dry skin on my face. I quit smoking in January so I hope that improves my health. Can you talk about the benefits of taking/eating garlic. I feel as if I will benefit from it.
I know you didn't ask me but I have been taking garlic for some time and the benefits are endless! Heart health, protects against colds and flus, it's antibacterial, antiviral, antihistamine for me anyway. ❤️
When I make bulletproof coffee with organic coffee and butter ,and filtrated water ,before I drink it I put my finger tips in the coffee foam and pat it on my face .works like magic
Skin feels silky smooth and looks slightly darker ,no breakouts or irritation .I been doing some research on line and found out that ghee ( close to butter😁 ) been used in ayurveda for hundreds of years for all sorts of skin issues and coffee has been proved in study's to protect against UV damage ( drinking and external ).I just make sure to wash it off with warm water before bed . And Less is more
Hi Dr Berg! Can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with us. One quick question can use cold press almond oil instead of olive oil bcs olive oil clog my pores and I end up having pimples. Thank you in advance!🙏🏽🇨🇦
Thank you so much for this Dr. Berg! I have severely dry skin that is often irritated and flaky. Do you have a suggestion for a daily moisturizer? Coconut oil and shea butter just doesn't work long enough for me.
Hello Doctor. I was born with very dry skin condition especially my hands. Without hand lotion, I will end up feeling so itchy. I feel like there is no hair hole on my hands. Really thankful for your formula. I will try it.
Yep I tried this, all ingredients in a bowl. I used warmed water as I think it helps plump up the seeds.. I don't have anything to crush them but I do use the back of my spoon and I guess some pop. I finally found roasted seaweed sheets that you use for sushi but I just cut those up into small bits and then add them into the bowl, with my quality exv olive oil. I like to keep the left over in the fridge as the next day it's so refreshing to put on. It is tricky to keep on your face tho! I have skin allergies to most things and I can tell you, this hasn't even bothered my skin one bit. Thankyou!
Made the egg, oil, honey mask for my hands, it worked so well I used what was left over on my face and hair with great results. Definitely doing this once a week, thanks Dr Berg❤
@@TheJimmyswe150 The OP is talking about soap & body creams. Nevertheless, I don't like the taste of goat's milk, but I wouldn't suggest that anyone stop drinking it unless there was a problem.
Is there Omega 3 in JBCO (Jamaican Black Castor Oil)? I add it to my face & body moisturisers and it's the best thing for me in terms of long-term dryness. I've found other naturals oils to be v beneficial, eg: *EVOO Olive Oil* - body, face, skin, hair, tender scalp. *Argan Oil* - body, face, skin, hair, *Rosehip Oil* - mainly used it on face. *EVCO Coconut Oil* - body, face, skin. Had to stop using it on my hair as it's protein sensitive. *JBCO* - body, face & also excellent for nails. My nails grow long & it also *_repairs_* split nails - amazing! *JBCO* also mproved my weak hair line within 1-2 wks, but I had to stop as my hair is protein sensitive. I realised after a couple of years of using the above (excluding JBCO) that my scars had faded - I'm v accident prone.
really grateful for this, just mixed it up and put it on my hands which have been so very dry and hurting,... It feels really good and soothing and nourishing, the opposite of a cream that stings. Thank you!!!!!
I got some Toms pre biotic soap on sale, through last winter I noticed me knuckles weren't splitting open and flaking, even bleeding anymore. Haha, you bet I noticed, been having my knuckles seasonly get ultra dry, like having lotion in my office, car, work desk, backpack it was this bad. I stopped needing lotion. FYI I wash my hands a lot in general when near feces and food prep no exceptions!! And I'm a mechanic. Anyone else experience this? I feel like a shill but not sure else how to spread the word to help others like me.
It is my understanding that there does not exist a filter that can filter out fluoride because that molecule is smaller than the water molecule. Distillation might work. I just don't know what happens to fluoride in that process, whether it evaporates off along with the water. There are not many ways of taking that poison out of water.
I have very dry skin at times and very sensitive, I get rashes all the time. I look forward to trying this. I also wonder if purslane would help it is high in omega 3.
I literally looked this up last night and watched two of your videos about eczema!!my face only is very dry and I get burning sensation especially after showers.I have been doin a 30 day celery lemon water and keto diet!thanks for the info
My skin is like it was in my 20s and I'm 49 I can thank IF and clean keto steam sauna ( every night ) red light therapy ( in the morning before 9 am ) regular exercise and I'm consuming cod liver oil ( liquid ) and I use Dr Berg electrolyte powder after sauna and exercise 👍👍 thanks Dr Berg oh and I'm consuming 50,000 IU of vitamin d ( yes I'm taking k as well ) happy independence day ❣️
I will try this. I have a question that hope someone can answer to it. Retinol and Niacinamide all over this planet says are good for wrinkles etc. In my case I used to have mix skin, now after using these products my skin is sooo dry and because of this my skin cracked and due to the dryness created wrinkles in my checks. I don’t really understand how this products works for other people. Moreover when I do make-up I tried soo many creams but they don’t get along with the base etc as all these creams contains gums and doesn’t hydrate properly the skin just create a mask on the face instead of moisturising which makes it horrible when applying make-up.
Hi Dr Berg the skin on most of my body is fine but I notice that from my knees down to my feet are dry. I am 60 yrs old, I have not been eating alot of refined sugar for years, I don't drink alcohol etc. I do a lot of walking at work and I wonder if this is causing it. I try to eat well I am 135 lbs 5 ft 7 in and I am not on any medication at all. I don't have much wrinkles on my face and body just wondering what this is I like to hear what you think. It's not so dry that it is visibly flaking off or anything like that. Thanks, must add here that I am learning a lot of what you are sharing with us and thank you for all that you share!!
Hi Dr Berg Thank you very much for information sharing it I have a problem with my face I’ve been changing my face cream nothing works when ever I wash my face with water it’s seems something pulling is it dry or it’s called combination I don’t no please can you recommend any good moisturiser or something I can make a home moisturiser Thank you Dr berg
I see evoo recommended most often, but I was wondering if organic avocado oil could be used instead? When I use oil in cooking, it's the only one I use (and therefore I have it on hand). I was under the impression that avocado oil is a preferred carrier for skin application. Thanks!
