Salut guys, what a fun collab! I have to say the symmetric effect in many of Ainsley's photos is lovely. My personal favorite is the picture behind Notre Dame with leaves in the air, because this girl looks SO in the moment, like she's having a blast... Even the guy walking past couldn't help but look over, whereas I imagine big cities have people mostly minding their business. Also, the leaves suspended in the air add to the sense of this picture having captured a very particular moment in time. Thanks so much for making this, cheers!
Aaahhhh😍😍😍 Oh, so many but my favorite was Bir Hakeim! So gorgeous! I’ve always really wanted to go to Ladurée. My husband and I may be going to Paris for our 30th Anniversary Spring of 2020. I’m going to show him this video!! It is like a travel guide to the beautiful parts of Paris. Thank you both!!
Ainsley, all of your photography is exquisite! I have to say I kept coming back to the pictures of the Opera Palais Garnier - you've captured the beautiful architecture but also a certain moodiness and gravity that I could stare at all day! Thanks for a great video, ladies. (And just to mention a few more favorites - the pictures of Paris in the snow on your blog were beyond beautiful!)
See, after many years in Paris I had never imagined that a café was a place to take pictures. PS: I loved when she said "Pondalegzandre trois" and "The Leuv" (louvre). So cute😊
Love your photos! The one on the Alexandre III bridge is so casual and not so much at the same time 😍 I think you would like the interior of the Sorbonne; sometimes they let people in to take photos in the Cour d’honneur.
I love the first photo of the Louvre. I love the morning light and how you can see the pyramid, the fountains, and the old palace. I spend a lot of time taking photos there a couple of years ago but the fountains weren't going because it was the middle of winter. This video has made me realize that I need to make sure I try to go to Paris in Spring because all the the spring shots were gorgeous.
Merci! This video has given me some great inspiration! A walking tour for teenagers is “boring” but if I take them on an Instagram tour, how much better is that?! Thanks for the handy list!! I love the “secret street” photo (and all of them!). So beautiful!
I love the Park Sceaux because it reminds me of what I did with my foreign friends when I was in France. Sit in a park and have a picnic with rose :) Plus that I just LOVE all the pink in the picture
I watched the whole video and still found the second photo drew my interest the most. The view of the Eiffel Tower across the river and under the bridge....beautiful. Made me long for my carefree youth where views like that came cheap and mostly uninterrupted. Lovely photography.
great video idea! My favorite spot is probably Trocadero, it has always been my favorite spot for a night time view of the Eiffel tower, but now you gave me the idea of also checking it out during daytime :)
Salut, Rosie! My favorite has to be The Louvre because I am a high school math teacher, specifically geometry, so the magnificent glass pyramid speaks to me!!! The structure is breath-taking. I love sharing pictures of it with my students and have them calculate its surface area and volume. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it in person and am thrilled every time I see it in photos :)
So many great photos, I'm having a hard time picking a favourite. It's probably the one of the Eiffel tower between the houses of the narrow street, mainly because the colours are so vibrant and beautiful
So happy I found your channel through Ainsley's photography page on Facebook! It's been a dream of mine as a fellow kiwi gal to go to Paris and can't believe I have never heard of Montmartre! It looks absolutely beautiful and the photo at 4:21 looks stunning!
i love the cafe ones because they feel so much like home :') just looking at cafes give me nostalgia, and i can already smell the baked goods with a hint of coffee :3 love the video rosie! ^^ keep up the amazing work c:
I lived in south of Paris during 2015-16. My fav place is Montmartre. Best way to go is visit Le mur des je t'aime and then walk along the area until you reach Place du Tertre. 😍😍😍 Oh I miss Paris! And from my parents-in-law apartment can see the whole town; Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Cœur with panorama view.
Thank you for all these beautiful places. My favorite is the bridge « Alexandre III » . I’m lucky to go to work thru this place every morning, with « grand palais » and « petit palais » in front of me, place de la Concorde on the right, Eiffel Towè in the left, in the early morning, it’s wonderful.
Montmartre is definitely n°1 for me, no contest. It has everything a tourist could imagine finding when visiting Paris. The Jardin des Tuileries is THE place to walk through when going to the Louvre (definitely my favorite park even though I like Parc Javel/Citroën quite a lot). If you want to see stylish buildings, I agree the Place Vendôme really has something special, probably because it's in a circle and you can see all buildings at once wherever you stand. There are also lots (and I mean LOTS) of covered streets/galleries/pathways that are quite hard to find if you don't know where to look. You can find books listing them and I would definitely recommend visiting at least 3-5 of these streets for a change of pace in summer. Many pathways and courtyards are also hidden behind carriage doors (these huge double doors you'll see almost anywhere), but most of them are private because they're either residential areas or a working environment for small companies. Overall, anywhere in Paris is worth a photo shoot if you know where to look. Many buildings have incredible details that will make your photo pop.
Absolutely amazingly stunning and most beautiful places. I can not wait to go and see the magical views from Trocadero when I am in Paris in July 2018. :-)
I choose Montmartre because there are so many possibilities, so many picturesque streets, all the interesting stairs. There’s also some of the less savory places like the sex toy shops. And finally, there are all the locations from “ Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain,” such as Café des deux moulins. I like Ainsley’s photo of the old Peugeot deux chevaux. The car is as picturesque as Montmartre. It’s nice to see snow in a Paris picture because you mostly see Spring and Summer photos.
The Bir Hakeim and Secret Street are my favorites. I love how both the locations have a combination of bridge/street view and the Eiffel Tower: a perfect combination.
My favourite place in Paris is The Place des Vosges in Le Marais district. It is fabulous and unique. The photos are fantastic, very creative style leading to pictures full of character and emotion. You have talentuous friends.
you didn't mention the rue crémieux, but i think it's worth it. Lots of colourful houses, calm street, truly beautiful and it looks great in photographs !
Hi Rosie, thanks for another good video. Can you tell me where did you get the yellow lamp we see in the background of your videos? Thanks, from a fellow expat in Paris!
Sonia B True, but Eiffel was involved in designing the frame to support the statue based on the technique used for the Eiffel tower. fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_Eiffel
Salut Rosie ! :) Thanks for this new video, it's always a pleasure. But you're not the noly ones from New Zealand in France ! Have ever been told about Graeme Allwright for example ? He's a great singer (protest song, folk). Un grand monsieur, respect to mister Graeme ! :) see wikipedia and youtube --------------------------------- Puisqu'on parle de tourisme. ------------------------------------------- A bientôt ! :)
Hi ! I'm quite surprised to be the first who notice a little mistake : that's "Ladurée" , not "Lauduree". Otherwise, keep on going to make videos ! And come to visit the others parts of France ! I think you would change much of your vision of french culture.
