New subscriber here and want to thank you for being genuine and honest with your reviews as I too often see content creators ONLY focusing on the good of the product but don't if any mention the downfalls of said products! Keep it up! Thanks so much!
I went ahead and just ordered it. I decided to invest in Aputure lights, a rode ntg3, c stands, soft boxes, gels, and a zoom f3. Guess I’m using my iPhone for short films. Probably better to invest in lighting and audio gear before getting a BMPCC 6K Pro.
Beastgrip, BeastCam, Anamorphic lens, IPhone 13 pro 👌🏻. I’m going to be using a moments case for everyday use and seems well made. Camera mount insert is what I’m really worried about
Great video! Want to echo what someone else mentioned regarding downsides; the grip! Strange he didn't mention that; it's not good at all according to others. They removed the sturdy claws used in previous models. Also, not sure if I missed it, but the lens will cover the microphone, like with others right?
How well does the Zhyiun Crane gimbal work with the LiteChaser Pro set up? I was trying to use it with the OSMO4 and with a filter on, it was to heavy and dropped out on that side. So, I am looking at stronger options for the LiteChaser Pro system. Thanks for the suggestions.
⚠️ WARNING : OBJECT TRACKING with SMARTPHONE via ZY PLAY APP interface is NOT POSSIBLE with CRANE M3S. It only provides stabilization for smartphones. It doesn’t support the keys.
So - with your hand covering the iPhone microphone area where you naturally grip the device - does it actually record sound well❓❓ When you add an external microphone lead to the iPhone - does it not make the gripping of the device kind of awkward? And can you still actuate the shutter button easily with the mic lead attached?
Michael, I watched a few of your videos and subscribed to your channel today. A bit off topic from this video but would appreciate your feedback. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro and recently purchased moment anamorphic lenses, 67 mm variable ND filters and also using a DJI mike/transmitter. Its clear that my Osmo 3 gimbal is not going to work with the new additions. I would appreciate any words of wisdom. It’s clear that it will be difficult to plug-in the mic transmitter unless I turn the phone upside down or use a cable and mount it somewhere on the gimbal. Again, any thoughts greatly appreciated
Curious Wonder if the 12 pro max version grip and filters would work on the 13 pro max version? Quick test pls, so no need for me to buy another set! :)
Hi sir, i have one doubt, can we able to mount filter top of another filter, like if i want to shoot with vnd & BLUEMORPHIC filter is it possible? please replay sir...
I have the exact same setup as you(litechaser 13 case and grip, zhiyun crane m3), and I am unable to balance the gimbal using the litechaser grip. Any ideas?
I have seen a demo on youtube that PolarPro's grip for the iphone 11 has deep claws so it holds very strong. But for the iphone 13, it's a catastrophe: you just have to force it a little and the grip comes off, so the iphone falls on the ground. What about the iphone 12 please? (12 pro max, etc) Thanks
@@initialfocus You're welcome! yeah, can't wait to see your video! I was shocked when I knew about this app... so crazy! I bought a OnePlus 8 Pro just to have it!
Are you talking about the ND filter? Let’s say it’s sunny out. Without an ND your shutter could be like 1/5000 or something which sure will look fine for exposure and for photos that’s no big deal but for video the general rule of thumb for proper motion blur is to double your frame rate for your shutter speed. So filming at 24fps you’d want to be 1/48 shutter or as close to it as possible. So you’d need an ND to stop down the light. The average person won’t care but the average person wouldn’t buy this lol
@@initialfocus I'm referring to a application on the iphone 13 pro such as filmmaker pro that allows you to adjust the exposure instead of buying a lense to adjust it. Is that a cheaper alternative?
Again to the average person it’ll look fine but adjusting exposure via hardware will always give a better result than software or an app. A zoom lens will always give better result than zooming in digitally in a app
Actually the more open design allows for less dust and lint build up near the speakers and charging port. The previous design created a bigger hole for things to get trapped in. Also the bottom still has a lip. All edges are protected so the only way to scratch that specific part of the stainless frame would be to drop on a pointed object that was aimed right at it. Regular drops and accidents the entire phone is protected.
Thanks Michael for this awesome review / tutorial! I just received my iPhone 13 Pro Max Filmmaking Kit and am trying out the VND. I noticed that it doesn't lock into the case. It slides into place ok, but is able to fall out of it's slots fairly easy with a simple little shake or two. Isn't it suppose to lock into the slots somewhat? I'm really concerned more so, due to using a gimbal. As always, thank you for all of your content! 👍
I've been using PolarPro products for years due to their high quality standards but, now after using this VND and grip for over a month, I'm extremely disappointed in PolarPro. VND fitment to the case is loose therefore, you need to be careful when using. Also, I don't trust the grip due to having some play as well. What a shame.......
I hate that PolarPro keeps making cases like this. They need a sleek universal cage that fits multiple phones. Everyone else’s universal rods are too big and ugly, PolarPro could fill in a nice niche. Their new cage is closer, but still exclusive to a model of phone.
In case anyone here has an issue with the GripV2 slipping off easily and you’re looking for ways to use your own filters, I found a solution. Hope this video helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nqeikM21xR8.html
