This is probably the most "exposed" musical performance I've ever done, since it starts off as just me -- nobody else. There's something really thrilling and also a little terrifying about that. Add the fact that we were in front of maybe 1,000 people ... and really it was all I could do not to think about the size of the crowd and just let the music carry me away. I hope my Gaelic is okay! I love this song, and I love my band.

Played MGS for the first time in 1998, I was 15 when I heard that song for the first time. I'm now 41... this piece of music is a time machine to my youth. I can't hold my tears of nostalgia.

7 years old when I first heard this. I am 30 now, and it's still just as beautiful. This game brings me closer to my father whom I lost 21 years ago. This was one of his favorite song from the Metal Gear Solid games. Unfortunately he didn't get to see any of the sequels, but I played them in honor and always felt it was a way to escape to him, when I had no one else. Now I just carry the torch.

As an Irish person i thought your Irish pronunciation was really good. The song itself, like most songs in any language, stretches and shortens certain sounds for scanning but (assuming you have no previous knowledge of the language) you did an excellent job.

No previous knowledge of the language, so I will take this as a huge compliment ♥ I did my best to emulate the sound of the original, and I had a friend who understands a different related dialect help write out a phonetic approximation. I'm glad it comes together well enough! I at least know what the phrases I'm singing mean in a direct translation, and I try to convey that as much as I can when I sing. So thank you, thank you!
