Thanks very much for watching, if you enjoyed the video make sure to leave a LIKE.
definately a more detailed rotational guide on assassin spec. in general i love the simplicity of this video and the pros and cons outlined. it made med want to go back to a rogue again as it was my original main and what i have been performing the best as for progressive raids throughout wow
I find extremely well single target dps with outlaw as well as the aoe putting myself up against several other players as outlaw rogue I killed them all. pve wise would be relatively similar in my stead but I see the want for blade flurry in dungeons. pvp wise single target is the way to go in my eyes.
finally i can play assassination in raids ^^ i was playing it since MoP but sadly couldnt use it for most bosses in WoD so I was very happy to see that assassination got such good changes :) IM HYPED
Excellent overview, thank you for making the video. Maybe your rogue player can remember that he's recording for instructional purposes, though, and stop constantly jiggling the camera?
+Aesthetic 2.0 lol no way because of one burst talent on a 45 second cd? its still fast paced gameplay and thats without vebdetta trait and kingsbane poison. we are fine. 100% increase is literally double the speed so dont know whats slow about it.
Are you planning to release videos for all classes? Or all 3xdps specs classes and another video for all single dps specs classes ;D? (yep, its suggestion ;)
Those are some of the best Rogue Weak Auras I've seen! Thanks so much for posting them...do you use anything to track your Defensive Cooldowns? I didn't see anything when watching the videos?
As a Rogue main since my very first foray into WoW, I am incredibly unenthusiastic and quite disappointed about rogues in Legion. Roll the Bones RNG basically kills all the fun of that spec for me, and the shiny new toys (pistol shot for some ranged cp etc) don't excite me enough. Out of the three specs on live at the moment, I have been enjoying Sub a lot, but as we're losing the class trinket even while levelling and given how mediocre sub is at everything at 110, I am disheartened at my prospects as a raiding rogue for the next two years. More than that even, I think they totally butchered any class unity between the three specs. Hell, two of the three don't even use poisons OR bleeds anymore, signature features of the rogue for over a decade. Thank you for posting this video though, I appreciate the effort and the information.
Right but I'm a semi-hardcore progression mythic raider in a guild with a good mix of range and melee dps, single target and AoE, etc. I'm pretty much forced into playing Assassination which is still the most boring and least flexible of the specs. Alternatively I could main my mage, paladin, or shaman for Legion, but it would be the first time EVER in WoW when my rogue is not my main, and that makes me sad. :(
Assass is super boring, easily the slowest of the specs. It's also shit on AoE and even cleave if things die quickly. Plus with the nerf to Exsang and since we won't have the rings at 110, the burst won't be nearly as impressive as it is now. I've played various iterations of Assass over the years, and while it has gotten better in some respects, I actually don't like this version as much as the maximising envenom mini-game.
@Drybear/Kaheera Can you post like a download of your entire UI? I mean, thanks a lot for the Auras, that's the tricky part if someone *wink* wanted to make an UI like yours But posting the entire thing would also be pretty cool But even if you don't do that, thanks a lot for the video!
I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find anything on it. How much of each stat should I be looking to get? And more specifically, does haste and versatility have a soft cap/break point where getting any more becomes less beneficial than getting more crit?
Any comments on what spec to choose now? The sims available shows that Outlaw will be better than Assa in all but 3 target cleave initially, and then outscale Assa eventually. So it is go outlaw or go home?
@Drybear/Khaheera How do you feel about the exsanguinate nerf to 100%? I was playing assassination and it doesn't feel as good now because of the nerf.
Im leaving my Feral to reroll to a class that atleast deals more than 100k AoE DPS. Should I go for Rogue / WW monk ? If for rogue, what spec after the assa nerf? People say Outlaw is the best talent atm.
5:21 totally opposite for me, I find the new rotation boring. Legion is put on all bleeds and increase bleed speed with one ability. Doesn't feel like asassination at all, should be renamed Torture or changed back.
I keep seeing videos / streams with DPS meters that always show (yourself) stationary and position and then shows the actual list. What add on is this or how do you set up skada Etc to do so?
I'm pretty bored of Final Fantasy 14 and decided to came back to WoW for Legion. I would like to play the most OP class in PvE (I used to play RET paladin) so I've been watching warcraftlogs but, that's only for Legion pre-patch. I always loved melee combat but I would be open to casters/rangeds if that was the case. Thanks in advance!
i still have no clue why assassinations damage is mostly build around bleeds when the mastery increases the poison damage, also the artifact spells of sub and assa are poorly designed compared to other classes both in interaction with your other spells as in participation of your damage. just look at the moonkin or unholy articaft spells. im rerolling rogue because of better setup in our mythic raid but it seems to me that the rogue class design for legion is still unfinished, allmost no choice in talents except for the mobility ones (class feels more like early beta status than 3 weeks before launch thb).
Does the nerf to exsanguinate (From 400% to 100%) still make assassination the best spec? Do you still play around bleeds and stack versatility or do you play around poisons with aganizing poisons and stack mastery? What are your thoughts?
I'm sure there's a reason, but why Nightstalker over Subterfuge? Subterfuge imparts a 100% damage boost to Garrote when opening from stealth. Is it simply because 50% Rupture damage outweighs the Garrote damage?
Using vanish and applying a 50% extra damage 6 combo point rupture right before exsanguinating ends up being pretty stupid burst, especially considering the cooldown of vanish lines up with the cooldown of vendetta.
perhaps I just suck at Legion Rogues cause I have raided as a Rogue since BT and played a rogue since Nax and I just suck ass I can to the DPS needed but I just can't seem to get it up high
What is the unit frames called you are using? I also dont know how to import your auras into my power aura, isen't it just copy paste it into the 'Import set'? :( Help plz
Actually Assassin is below Sub now. I know you mentioned that two weeks ago but it's looking like Mut is gonna be middle of the pack at best at least for EN.
I wondering If i want play pvp and pve as rogue, which one spec should be great? Im worried about artifact. If I choose one spec for pvp and other for pve then I dont have any weapon at high ,,lvl,,?
I think that it's absolutely pointless to rank specs based on numbers right now. for me I would rank assa in the bottom du to it being a boring 2 buttons spec. outlaw middlepack due to RNG and sub first since it still has some mastery potential with resources management.
@Drybear I have a major issue for Legion. I main rogue from Vanilla to Cataclysm then played Shaman to the end of WoD. Now for Legion I have 2 choices in my guild. Rogue or Shaman. I really want to go back to rogue but I wanted to know which would be more usefull and best DPS wise. The rogue or the shaman for raid and Mytic +. tks a lot
Great vid, thanks alot, also would you mind explaining your combat text in this video? Is it just enlarged classic blizzard combat text or is it an addon?
Rogue got nerfed to shit.. For example Instead of 400% faster bleeding its down to 100%. Can Drybear make a review of the rogue because of that? Maybe the whole Playstyle changes now, because you are not even taking this talent anymore?! I am currently doin some math by myself, a second opinion would be nice. Regards a progressions raiding rogue
Sub is teribad and does barely any damage compared to the other two specs and the lack of a separate bar for Shadow Dance makes it awkward to play. Outlaw is fun and good for AOE situations but it's dependence on RNG makes it unreliable in PvP and high end PvE. As it stands Assassination is the most straight forward spec when it comes to damage output and even then it's very dull to play. Overall rogues are simply underwhelming at the moment and don't really have the 'fun factor' that a lot of the other specs have IMO.
i know this is like super late but do you fucking relize that he is in a hardcore rading guild lmao ofc numbers are his main focus and the title of the video literally says the best spec which is understandble that by that he means dps wise if the title said most fun spec your opinion would make sense but in the case it does not
