in india its called dal in hindi we cook it almost everyday at night for dinner and eat it with flatbreads with lots of butter on it. btw meat is not added into it india mostly

Me and my mom made an amazing spin off of this about a week ago, its basic lentil rice soup BUT we add curry powder AND chickpeas, this makes it like an afganistan dish i tried at a resturant but with a syrian spin to it
