I've passed your attempted insult onto my marketing department but unfortunately they've heard it before so they won't be awarding you any originality points. Please try again in the future. Thanks for your message.
Hey Lou! Awesome, welcome to the channel. It's great to have you here. Thanks for checking the demo out. It's one of my favourite pedals and it's super cheap! I love it! I hope to see your name pop up around here more often!
I've tried a few of the pedals in this range and they all sound great. I also have the Compressor which I really like. A footswitch mod to switch modes sounds really cool!
It's also way cheaper... and it doesn't break your back carrying it up stairs haha!! It'll never beat the real thing, but for 50 bucks its not too bad!
Thank you man! Really appreciate that. It’s such a fun pedal and it’s less than £50! If you’re after a Leslie style I’d definitely recommend this. Congrats on the Diamond endorsement too! 🔥
@@LeighFugeGuitar thanking you sir I'm beyond proud to be back on board with them , and seriously that looks epic , loving seeing a fellow swan here ;)
Perfect video as usual. The price is a bargain, 78 Euros here in Italy, is the cheapest on the shelf. The only thing I would have added is an expression pedal input, but the price probably would have raised. I don't know if you ever tried the Nux Roctary, for 20 euros more has got a lot of features including an octaver that simulates the Hammond Organ. Probably too many features for what it's supposed to do. I'd be curious to know your impressions if you'll ever try it. Thanks a lot again for this video.
Hey Luca, Sorry its taken me nearly 2 weeks to reply! Thanks so much for checking the video out, I'm glad you liked it. The circuit inside is pretty simple, if you knew a little bit about mods, or spoke to someone that did, it would probably be pretty easy to ad an expression pedal to it. Not sure the cost would be worth it... but it's possible! I'd like to have seen a second footswitch to move between the fast and slow modes. I haven't tried the Nux one, but I've heard that's a really good option too. I've used this TC Electronics one paired with an octave pedal to get a Hammond organ sound and it works great.
Hello - Kindly advise names of other pedals used for this demo and correct order in the pedal chain - Indeed the best demo of this TC ELECTRONIC VIBRACLONE - Thanks so MUCH.
Hi, Thanks for the comment and for checking out the video. I wasn't using any other pedals in the video. The Vibraclone was plugged straight into my Line 6 Helix which was running straight into my PC which was handling the amp and reverb sounds in the video.
i've got digitech ventura vibe as rotary, i like it but man, im trying to get one of this, actually i was looking for vibraclone but here in Chile it's so difficult to get, ventura vibe from digitech is great but vibraclone sounds better and classic to me as a leslie kind of sound, nice video!
Hey man, I've heard those Digitech ones are great but I haven't tried one myself. The TC Vibraclone is awesome. You should check eBay and Reverb.com, they often appear for pretty cheap, you might be able to get a great deal on one! Thanks for checking out the video.
I'm amazed by this low budget but great sounding tool... I have the ehx electric mistress (the bigger one) and this pedal sounds very close to it on choral mode. Impressing... is the tremolo mode a good replica of doppolas/ra-200 rotary speaker? You can easily guess the sound I'm inspiring to ;)
TC make some great stuff. This range are technically Behringer pedals. TC were bought by the same brand that own Behringer and they decided to rehouse and upgrade all the old Behringer circuits. They're better made than the old Behringer pedals but they've kept the prices pretty low so you get great tone for a budget, and they feel pretty solid too. I've gigged this pedal for a few years now and it's still going strong.
I haven’t tried them side by side but they can do some similar things. A UniVibe is quite a unique sound that sounds a little like a Leslie, this pedal models a Leslie. So there is some crossover.
You'll need an MXR dynacomp, a drive pedal with no gain, just tone to boost, then a big muff(11, 10 and 12 o'clock on the knobs) then a mooer e-lady with the range off , colour up slightly and rate at 3pm, then stand back and go "wow"
Hey Ric, The Choka is a dedicated Tremolo. It will give you the full volume style tremolo effects. The Vibraclone has elements of tremolo in there but it's primarily based around the Leslie sound so it's technically a different thing altogether. It's more like a tremolo and vibrato/phaser together in one.
I bought one of these but was sadly disappointed. I also love TC gear usually (several of their pedals are on my board too). This altered my tone so much though that it had to go back unfortunately. Maybe a vibratone in reality has a very middly tone that this copies well but it was way too muffled for me. I agree with the pricing and size issues with other rotary pedals as they were what also drew me to this and your vid swayed me to get it. No offence is intended, this may sound much better through your set up than mine but I personally couldn’t live with the tone suck. If you’re thinking of getting one this is indeed a great demo of the pedal but listen to the tone it produces and make sure that it’s what you’re after. After watching this back I can now hear the tone it produces more clearly after hearing the pedal in the flesh. There is always going to be a lack of clarity when watching a (even well produced as this is) RU-vid video so try to play through one if possible before you purchase. I even tried it in a wet/dry setup and it didn’t cut through enough or compliment the tone of my dry amp despite mucho tweakage due to how much top end was lopped off. I’m now looking at either a Danelectro Big Spender or a chorus (like the Arion SCHs) for my Cold Shot and Tightrope type tones. Just to reiterate that this video is a great demo of the pedal, just be aware of how much it alters your tone.
Hey, Ahh that's a shame. I've heard a few other people complain about tone suck from it but I've not experienced that. For me, it's always worked perfectly in my rig. As you say, it could be that whatever the circuit is a direct clone of is also darker. Also, I guess I lean towards things that are tonally darker rather than brighter. What amp are you running it with? Also, where in your signal chain? I found that for the best results, putting it towards the front of my chain works best. I usually have a Klon near the front of my chain as a clean boost which is always on, and I usually set the Vibraclone right after it, or after my Octave Fuzz. I found running it before the drive section worked best for me. No offence taken man, I understand fully. It's great to hear your experience with it even though it's not the best experience. I agree, it's hard to make a decision based solely on RU-vid. RU-vid videos can point you in the right direction but nothing beats hearing it in person. Every part of a signal chain will add up to how something sounds so the amp I use and the microphones, preamps, guitars etc.. they all add up to the tone you hear. If you do try a Big Spender, let me know how it sounds! I'm very curious to hear one!! I've not had the chance to try one out yet!
Thanks for the reply Leigh. I did try it in front of my drives as that’s where I prefer my vibe to go, it did sound a bit better, but still altered the tone way too much for me. I use a stock American Standard Strat (from 1990 I think) into a JTM45 with a 4 x 10 cab. The line from the guitar goes TC Viscous Vibe, Hudson Broadcast, TC MojoMojo, old Ibanez TS9, Stone Deaf Syncopy delay and TC Hall of Fame 2. I initially placed it between the TS9 and the Syncopy, then tried it before the drives. I split the signal with a Boss Super Chorus and ran a wet/dry set up with another amp and tried it just in the wet side. Again, it sounded a bit better but still didn’t cut through. I’m glad you like yours, your vids are great btw which is why I wanted to make sure I got my point across without poo-pooing your vid or love of the pedal. Your response shows you understood and how cool you are. Isn’t it nice when people can have sensible discussion on RU-vid comments?! Lol. I’ll probably get a big spender as there’s not much else out there unless I spend silly money on something like a Vent which I can’t justify for an effect I’ll just use for the odd SRV number. The buttons on the Big Spender are a bit too close together but I probably won’t use the ramp function anyway as I play a suitcase drum and with my right foot and tap dancing on pedals is already not easy! Cheers!
@@juancbarz Indidnt, so can't comment on what it's like sorry. For my Leslie sound I currently use a Harmonic Tremolo (Walrus Monument). For more info on Leslie type pedals check out PJ and The Beard who did a whole series of videos on how to get the sound with different effects. I've also had good results with analog chorus pedals especially if mixed with a tremolo. The TC SCF sounds great too (listen to Guitarsenal demoing an older one on his channel). The SCF has just been re-released.
The only old Behringer pedal I was aware of that did the Rotary thing was called the Rotary Machine or something, but it had way more controls. I'm not sure if this one is a repackaged one or if it's something newer they added to the budget line. Also, to my recollection, the original Behringer rotary wasn't that great. But who knows... I did hear they'd tweaked the circuits a bit before repackaging.
@rosefreeman4030 0 seconds ago I was pleased with the rotary effect but all the upper mid and high frequencies were extremely attenuated. The Leslie effect was very good but the pedal cut the highs and was noisy. I returned it the next day. I always buy from Sweetwater because of superior service and follow through, plus they encourage me to buy and try, and if I don't feel it a keeper they bend over backwards to make a return as easy as placing an order.
