there’s a new huskey for 9.99 and i love it. just wish it had a better magnet on the bottom. but it folds up completely. un like the hf one. and lasts longer.

As an IT guy I LOVE the CAT light, but I HATE the cap! There is no positive lock on it so it is constantly popping off, and the spring is strong enough the cap will happily remove itself and leave 3 AAA batteries floating around among my tools. I "fixed" it with electrical tape (and it even defeated that solution once) but the cap really should have been designed with a positive lock, so you'd have to push it in and turn it or move a slider to take it off instead of it just being able to work itself open. Other than that the actual light itself is fantastic for the backs of server racks, inside computer cases, and under dark desks. If not for the battery cap it would be perfect.

I gave 7 for mine on eBay and been using it for over 2 years. Never had an issue with my work light. Still holds a charge great and has fell in the oil bucket before.

I have the one on the far left the “work light” Man that thing sucks After 5-10m it gets so dim. At first I kept wondering why it was so hard to see stuff and I had to get real close. Turns out these batteries can’t keep the voltage. It’s only useful while plugging into a portable phone charger. The hinge also doesn’t keep up anymore so it flops around I got the Braun at HF, so far way better

Oh dear. I hope they fixed the charge problem on the last light. I just ordered a couple.

That last folding light has the best design but they messed up in quality. You can hang it on shirt and swivel down or up towards your work.

Nice vid. 💪 I have four. Of the little work lights. So far so good. Haven’t had any problem yet. . They come in a large size as well. Haven’t tried that one yet.

As far as getting the right light in the right places the Braun works well for me,but the durability has been an issue. I deal with it by always getting the extended warranty. HF having stock when you want to warranty one has also been an issue.

It looks easy but I put a crescent wrench around the top part and a pair of pliers around the shaf close to the crescent wrench and slowly twisted. Nothing happened. I tried calling Nebo but all I got was an answering machine. I left them a message to call me. I guess I will see if they do.

excess tools has those mini lights from EZ red (the CAT model you have) from $5-$10, I got the struggleville APP and found a coupon for the braun magnetic light that's either 390L or 410L for $19.99 out the door for me. Fits in my jean pocket fine and with the circular and flex ability Its great for night treks in the pitch dark literally lights up entire area's and great for lighting in youtube videos lol.

Odd that they run the coolant hose right up against the exhaust manifold shield on that engine.

seems like a really great idea to make a review with a broken product....

that defective light that swivels has a lot of good verified reviews on amazon. I wonder if you just got a bad one.

You got a dud my friend. I have 4 of those folding lights, cost around 10$ each and been running over a year in the shop.

The braun at harbor freight is expensive now 50 dollers

You got a dud on that last light. I have one at work it shines great real good on small spaces. Only issue I have is the pivot wears out

Nice review. Alot of light for the price. Am guessing non are rechargeable for that price. I could use a light tht stick to the hood for working at night. A buddy has a light with a head strap. Put on his head. Wonder if that's better. I guess better chance of not forgetting light attached to car. Anyway. I use a $20 flashlight from CVS., Includes a rechargeable battery..maybe I'll strap a magnet on it..lol

Can you take apart the one that does not hold a charge? Maybe it is just the internal battery and it may be easily removable

Might just be the 1850 battery that's faulty not the torch.

maybe you got a dud on the folding light. Gearwrench, carlyle and others have similar versions to the folding light that cost quite a bit more. the CAT/EZ Red older version can be found in Craftsman trim for about $3.99 on sale.

Did you ever try another one of those same worklights to see if yours was a dud? Also have you used the cat light enough to know weather or not the tail-cap comes off easily? That is one complaint I have seen online about it. Thanks
