Awesome video, as always! I have a question Mauri, what would you say is the problem in my technique. When my opponent hits a fast ball, my racket starts to turn/wobble when I volley (I use the Wilson Ultra Elite v2). Is this due to my loose grip? Should I squeeze the racket when hitting? Right now it's always very loose in my hand. Hope to get some advice from you :)
Well, many topics could involve this turn grip when defending your opponents hit a fast shots to your volleys. The head of the padel bat has always to be around shoulders hight in order to keep a proper continental grip. Make sure also that when a fast shot comes to your volley you are not on your toes but the whole platform of your feet are on the ground in order to block the stroke with more stability. Remember that when your opponents hit a fast shot means they are going for a riskier shot, so respect their shot and just aim to block it, because what usually happen is that player try to counter attack with another fast shot and then is when also the problem starts. Hope to see you one day and look at it personally! Vamos!
