This is what Bethesda was trying to accomplish by “retconning” the Modern Weapons from older Fallouts. These guns look inspired by real-world guns yet fit the alternate reality world of Fallout.
Yeah things like the HK CAWS in the classic Fallout games was a real world weapon that was simply impractical in real life, just like the HK G11, or the Desert Eagle. Seeing a pattern Bethesda, not generic just weird, impractical weapons that have been adapted to Fallout.
I love that he put the pegasus rifle works Chinese AR (as seen on forgotten weapons April fool's video) into fallout 4, that alone makes this pack perfect

If you like Mods from Subleader/SenterPat they have several weapon/settlment item mods as well for Xbox. I also have a modlist In currently running on my One X on my chanel.
This weapon pack is literally what I've been looking for. Weapons that look better than in game, BUT still fit that style. Never been a fan of the modern military "Tacticool" weapon packs (that and so many look too clean). I also love that that the weapons, while looking well taken care of, have some small scratches and blemishes, helps it fit in to the world.
It is amazing to see a similar style of the New Vegas 12.7 SMG making a comeback... Would be awesome for their to be a patch for both the Sig Saur Pistol to use the ammo for the TNP-45 SMG. I did get some M14 Vibes from the LR-72. The barrel and heatshield looked almost like one, but man, this one might stay in my mod load order... Thank you for covering this! :D
Skibadaa is basically the John M. Browning of Fallout 4 imo. This dude's weapon mods are amazing and are a must have in my mod load order. Thanks for the great review Dak, love your vids.
Insane detail for a mod with a small file size. It's 6 weapons for less than 200mb. That amazes me since other mods are like a single weapon for that file size. Also, would you review DOOM's weapon pack as a throwback to one of the original weapon packs?
I am so glad to see another Chinese Assault Rifle mod. I know, that we've gotten a lot of FNV/FO3 weapon mods, but I wish we had more alternatives to the ones we have right now.
@@peppermillers8361 correction: the Glock 86 is the plasma defender, the plasma caster Is the Winchester p94. I'm aware that there are mods of them, I just want different versions of them.
I'm ok with the concept of reaching out to skibadaa and groveling to get this ported to console. His refinished IF54 should be the default weapon for F4 and F76.
I've recently downloaded the pack containing all the weapons and it's so good, I like to have variation in weapons but other mod packs add way too many weapons (and multiple versions of the AK with slight stat changes).
the lr-72 kinda looks like the m1a and the M16 had a cursed love child, love it I've recently reduced the size of my load order massively by getting rid of all the weapon mods and just installing all of skibbidas rebirth mods, combined arms and all of the handmade weapons you've reviewed
& I’m stoked that dak has become a pro on RU-vid. He has great videos that are polished & informative & deserves to have as many subscribers as possible, while still covering mods in an old (but still fun) game. Thx dak!
I might have to get this. I've recently gotten back into FO4 due to the Xbox Series X upgrades. I absolutely LOVED the "Modern Firearms" mod, but it's just so horribly balanced and still broken, so I've been looking for alternatives. This seems like it.
So much better than Bethesda's poor efforts! I also like the idea of making pre-war weapons less common in the wasteland, and spawning them in military bases and on military-style opponents - it would give it a logical and authentic feel.
This mod looks great. I really like the look of these. Thank you for all the great content, including the mods you've released. Do you ever use Cryo weapons? If so check out the "CryoFix" mod by HiSaZuL and the "Cryo Freeze Effect Supplemental Fix" mod that is made to go with it on Nexus. Together they remove all of the Cryo weapon bugs while still leaving them functional. Just trying to get the word out, as the freeze paralysis death bug was super disappointing for me personally over the years. Now with Cryofix I can rip through a den of Raiders or Super Mutants with my Freezing Combat Shotgun and some Overdrive and it's a blast. Thanks again for all the great videos and mods you've put out. Looking forward to more.
I do like some of the weapons from his pack, like the Battle rifle, Chinese assault rifle and the anti-material rifle. But others look unnecessarily bulky, especially the submachine gun. The idea of an SMG is to be compact for close quarters and to be concealable in a suitcase... This submachine gun IS THE SIZE OF A SUITCASE!
Holy shit I’m hyped, Skib’s stuff is phenomenal and I’m always looking for high-quality lore-friendly weapon mods, so this is a huge win. I’m still limited to Xbox’s 2 GB limit, which sadly means I’ll probably have to uninstall something I don’t want to when this gets ported over lol.
@@Bemix666NUCLAR What I mean is that most of the weaponry for Fallout games stopped at around Cold War era technology and then they went right into Laser/Plasma. So most of the guns are up to the 60's-70's era at the most with some exceptions. Therefore, not as many would have the full conversion from wood/metal up to a polymer or plastic body that you would have on more modern weapons that we've created in the last 30-40 years.
Skibadda did mention in his mod road map post on his patreon that after rifles rebirth "shotgun rebirth" would also come, same for a "pistol rebirth" for both revolvers and pistols, even mentioned that now with all the tools in the community he could make some pump action shotguns for his pack, looking forward to that mad lad's future creations
I really hope he brings back the IF-88 semi-auto Tacticool shotgun. That OG mod pack was my first weapon mod pack I ever used. They all old near and dear to me. Along with those epic mini-guns he put in too!
Been waiting for the rebirth version of his rifles :D already got Machinegun and Minigun Rebirth mods and absolutely love them. Now we just need an energy weapons mod? XD
I downloaded this not long after skib released it. Haven't had a chance to yet, being a fan of skib for a ling time, I know I won't be disappointed.I love the old rifle iron sights, just like my .303 irl. Glad I cought your vid, definitely installing this when I get home. ✌
I started using the WH-77 and I'm so damn happy it can be chambered in 5mm, I have a stupid amount of it in my inventory and I'm glad I have a semi-lore-friendly 5mm LMG that I can just spray 5mm everywhere lmao.
These look and sound great. Hopefully that buggy scope issue on the anti material rifle is fixed for the Xbox port soon. Also the reload on that is bugging me cause you rack the bolt back, put the mag in, and re rack the bolt back as if it was forward when it wasn’t in the anim, lol. Would be sweet to see laser sight attachments for these too.
My only complaint so far are the left handed charging handles, which I don't quite understand. Also no idea where you'd rack the bolt for the IF54 since the bolt already looks like it's reached the back of the slide, so you'd only be tugging on it and not doing anything.
The Animations for the 50 Cal sniper are ripped from MW2019. So no need to credit Skibbida for the Animations for it. The Models look pretty nice and unique
I find it funny how the m249 and the M60 are also lore accurate LMGs yet other than fallout nv, we technically haven't seen a real LMG (ik in fallout 1 and 2 there are but still would be interesting to see)
I wasn't a big fan of Skib's original IF-54 and WH-77, but these redesigns are incredible! I'm with you man, these weapons are Fallout perfection, light-years better than anything in the vanilla game. Skib's .223 revolver is hands down my favorite revolver mod too, I'd flip out if that's the update 1.1 weapon.
Bad news and good news. The bad (if an amazing looking weapon could be considered bad) - the 7th weapon will be a bolt action rifle; kind of an alternate hunting rifle. The good? Skib wrote he has a Shotguns rebirth and a Pistols rebirth planned in the future.
For the most part, I’d use the optional file in the reload mod that removes the charge anim, and also it doesn’t line up perfectly with some of the other mags
Honestly not sure where you should draw the line for what's considered lore friendly. Most Fallout weapons are inspired from weapons designed in 50s to 60s but then there are exception like 12.7 SMG which is inspired by 90s (P90) and 00s (Kriss Vector) designed weapons
Thank God no disrespect to the combat rifle with a hand guard but man we needed some new scenery but not gonna lie no replacer is going over or replacing dak assault rifle mod that's still the best one to me
I tried this weapon pack just recently, and personally i wasn't a fan of it. Like a lot of work went into this and I know that. but when I first tried these gun, something felt a little off from them. Like something was missing from them. Could be just me though, I might give the pack another try after watching this video. One thing I like however is that the "Assault Rife" Reanimation also affects the WH-77 and it looks so cool to use!

I never knew that the Chinese assault rifle is actually modeled after the real world type-93 assault rifle. It's like a bricky shortened rpk with an rpd fore grip and was made to fire NATO ammo I believe and excelled as a close quarters weapon because it was designed to be equipped with a bayonet. Cool to see another of my absolute favorite weapons from the series make an appearance in the commonwealth

Hey Dak your videos are really great. Maybe that sound silly but I am new to modding and I really want to add custom animation from other weapons to some modded weapons like you told in your Smith and Wesson pack mod review video but I didn't know how to add the animations. Please can you make a tutorial for that or maybe you could tell me the steps to do it.
Maybe its just me, but the Chinese Assault rifle in this mod looks kinda off, like its really blocky, also I'm pretty sure the Gun in lore is actually called "Type 93" not "TD-64" Other than that looks like a Great mod.
God, i love the look of the Chinese AR looking Rifle but why do you release a mod with CLEARLY unaligned iron sights on vanilla anims? i dont get every time. Sure this is a lot of work to make these weapon mods but that should be the reason to do it proper if you decide to push in this amount of work. damn good weapons but i hope this gets fixed prim n proper or i sadly cant use these great rifles
Found this mods on Xbox now woohoo!woo-hoo! Only gripe is the 330MB(rounded up) but 6 guns that cover so many nieches means it's pretty worth it. OK minor nitpick, the CAR in fallout 3 used 556 ammo, I'm not going to complain as 7.62 needs some more weapons using it. But that was just something I noticed.
I installed WD's animation pack for the combat rifle, then this rifle pack and then a replacer pack that replaces the vanilla assault rifle and combat rifle... But only the LR-72 doesn't appear. Did something go wrong or something in how I loaded them?
Everything looks great. However I have to disagree on the guns sounding good. The automatic fire sounds really bad. Hopefully someone will touch the sounds on these guns and release that as a mod too.
How big is the mod gonna be on console I wonder? Also wish the Xbox version of the combat rifle reanimation pack mod would affect modded weapons that use the combat rifle’s animations.
@@DegenerateDak the 12.7mm SMG was very boxy, and looked like something made during the 80s that never got any traction. The TNP-45 looks like a gun from Halo.
ok so the battle riffle usses a assault rtiffle round but the chinese assault riffle usses a battle riffle round a gun chambered in 5.56 is not a battle riffle a battle riffle js a riffle chambered in a full riffle caliber bullet sucg as a 7.62 a riffle that fires 5.56 is a intermediate caliber round making it an assault riffle an assault riffle is a riffle that usses a intermediate round such as 5-6 mm range rounds and has silect fire capability
also 7.62 cant be a lmg an lmg is a machine gun that fires assault riffle rounds and is light enough to be carried a machine gun carring full riffle rounds is a medium machine gun now days called a genral pourpose machine gun
