Hi, Fallout: Miami dev here! Thanks for covering our mod, I just wanted to address a couple of things so there’s no confusion. We have three companions (not two) and we also do have a canon faction that appears - the Enclave is a main faction in Miami.
Thank you for clarifying! I believe I missed some things in the writing of the video, but by the time I realized that it was already 3 weeks after the recording (this was made before the NG update if you can believe it). I'll slip your comment into the description for clarity
Fallout London takes place in a dilapidated, run down city full of crime, despair, hopelessness, lack of functioning services, ruin and urban decay and a near total lack of law and order. In other words, it takes place in London.....
@@jacobsalter8653 except that is how london is thanks to allowing immigrants who wont assimilate. I remember when they arrested people for exposing the muslim pdf file gangs lmao
I know it's bad optics, but I think Bethesda's silent agreement with modding is that they don't make concessions for mod teams. It was really bad timing, but the Fallout show did just come out so it's reasonable to assume they were dressing it up for new consoles. Still, hands down an unnecessary patch for PC. We really didn't need it
@@SnailOXD Imo it's still bad since they worked with the people who did the script extended for Skyrim to minimize the amount of time needed between Skyrim SE, and the script extendeder update.
This wasnt a silent update, any modder would have known about this update for years. They will probably continue to make Fallout London in the previous games version, then make patches for the updated version for people who cant get an earlier version
@@gamertardguardian1299 I won't say who, but someone I spoke to during the making of this video raised this exact point, and said "I have no idea why they would even make a statement over such a non-issue" I have to agree with them.
@@theninjamaster67 a full conversion/total conversion and a fan DLC are completely different things. A DLC mod is designed to play like any Fallout 4 DLC, with content that is accessible from the Commonwealth and builds onto your existing gameplay. A total conversion requires a new save because it literally changes your game into a completely different game with no connection to Fallout 4’s story or content.
@@uuntiedshoelace Well that's what these are aiming for they're entirely different games with a different character hence why I said "the modders on these teams call them total conversions".
I mean, there isn't alot of studios that are that friendly when it's comes to major fan projects, nor do they usually give them so tools to create them.
It's like Bethesda put some basic old and half broken house and modders turned it into a fully fleshed out mansion with 3 garages, 4 living rooms and 20 toilets lol. It wasn't even playable in some cases without mods. And thank God we got the fixes.
Hi! Thank you so much for covering us! We're very excited to show more of our progress this year so everyone can stay tuned! Quite an amazing video!! See you in Seattle! 🌲
Huge news, I'll be following every step of the way and looking forward to it. I may or may not have great interest in siding with the Red Leafs js, you know nothing to do with being Canadian or anything
@jtcattanio if you'd actually watch the video it clearly states that all of these are PC only because console doesn't support Fallout 4 Script Extender.
@@SnailOXD dude I’m not gonna have a life when they do, I’m also excited to see if they do small content mod releases like project Mojave and capital wasteland so that u can make Boston feel more like the interplay aesthetic, I already use mods moribund world and classic fallout ambient music replacer but it’s still not enough to make it feel like the originals.
Like weapons, asset replacers, enemy’s, and stuff like that. But mostly I want Marcus as a follower again, I’ve always had super mutant followers just because that feels like the fallout thing to do but I just could not get myself to use strong it’s obnoxious hearing about milk of human kindness every 5 seconds
@@PaladinNecro23 I'm scrapping Fallout 13 just because of immortal kids. If I want you out of my playthrough in an rpg, either you get removed from (can't stress this part enough) MY playthrough or I'm simply playing something else... like an rpg that gives decisional power which should be a given but videogames took a terrible turn quality wise 15 years ago and never reversed out of it. Usually such blatant moronity doesn't affect mods but I guess we got unlucky with the 13 staff.
Since Miami will have joinable Enclave, i would LOVE to see a compatibility with America's Rising 2. Imagine how cool would it be when at the end of the America Rising 2's questline, General Ward asked you to travel to the Vacation Wasteland and support the Enclave chapter there.
I would love to see a modern "Tale of Two Wastelands" mod which combines the remastered Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4 into one massive game. You're born in 3, bring clean water to the Capital Wasteland and stop the Enclave, then take a job as a courier and make your way out west only to get shot in the head and left for dead. But you survive and take control of the Hoover Dam, restore power to New Vegas and end the war between the NCR and Legion. Afterwards you head back east, arrive in the Commonwealth. When you stumble upon Vault 111 you discover the sole survivor of the vault and help them find their missing son and rid the Commonwealth of the Institute. Hell, throw Miami in there too because why not. Imagine if they could age your character each time you jump to the next story. Start as a young man and become a legend who has crossed the American Wasteland multiple times to become the ultimate survivor. I would build a PC just for that.
You know I actually once did a full playthrough of the main series games, but every character had the same last name, so they were all related to one another. Definitely a fun way to play through the series, I recommend it. However yeah that would be an excellent way to play the 3D games, even better if there was a mod that took you through it
Thank you for taking the time to interview Metamoth for this video! People often will cover F4NV without doing much research, nice to see that change for once!
I couldn't imagine not at least opening communication with SOMEONE at F4NV, honestly. I feel like outlets and *some* creators think too hard about uploading coverage of a big project like this without taking the time to reach out to the humans making these projects possible, and I was happy I was able to do that. No problem, and thank you for watch!
As someone who now lives in Seattle, Fallout Cascadia is the one I anticipate the most. Maybe, being local to the area, I could assist in some way with development at some point.
I really hope the F4SE team will be capable of working with the new update completely, lots of this mods have gotten delayed because of the next gen update, the F4SE team are very skilled people so they'll surely will have a complete and fully working script extender soon enough
@@thestratcat2803 True, but it isn't really stable because bethesda is going to be throwing some updates more to do some bugfixes making the F4SE team have to update more the SE, just like today they just updated the SE again because bethesda did another update
depends on whenever Bethesda decides to simply stop updating a ten-year-old game. IMO, they never should have updated it to begin with, but here we are. Until we get a stable, "this sticks for a couple years" game version I doubt we'll see these come to market. Either that or the devs just decide "fuck it, just release it for 1.10.163"
@@SnailOXD Well at least with FO4 we have a small modpocalips so it isn't as bad since a huge amount of mods don't really need F4SE, unlike in Skyrim when the game was updated and the modpocalips really hit everyone hard. if anything the biggest lost in all this was the in game mod menu, it had some actual good mods in it that aren't on the nexus or anywhere else
@@SnailOXDI’ve never actually played through NV, recon it’s worth waiting for the mod to experience it for the first time or play the source material first??🤔
I believe The Frontier has one for NV. Of course, Frontier quality and controversy aside, it's a good sign that this could be the case. Fallout London is actually partnering with GOG to host their mod

yeah, ultimately, none of the projects were willing to give me an estimate on release date. I actually didn't even ask for a date, my original question was "what percentage of progress do you think you've made?" They all more-or-less declined to comment. However if even one sees the light of day thats a win in my book. If Bethesda goes silent again, only to update just before the release of another one, then we know it's on purpose. IMO the devs should just release for 1.10.163 since it's the last good version of the game anyway
Lmfao shitty RU-vidr wants to gain some views off clickbait, there’s no fucking conspiracy abt Bethesda updating the game my god. They’re just shitty third party mods that think they’ll be a life changing thing
@@SnailOXD I wouldn't worry about the no-comment part, stating a release date for a mod could just mean trouble due to some community members being absolutely rabid. I believe Fallout: London was originally going to release on v163, but got delayed as the developers wanted everybody to be able to enjoy the mod.
I had never even considered total conversion mods. I’m only vaguely familiar with Fallout London but everything in this video looks incredible and I’m ready to dive in.
They're some of the biggest, most ambitious projects in modding history, and there are more projects I'll have to go over in another video. All in all, extremely exciting and I look forward to their release for sure
@@SnailOXD I am just surprised no one did a mega mod for Chicago. I remember that place and area being a big talk of the town for a future area, right along with New York City.
I don't care how long it takes even if it takes 5-10 years to do the developers should take their time on these projects to make sure they come out in the best condition possible.
Yea.. they should pass it on to there kids to work on.. put about 45 years of work an 2 generations. for almost a hour worth of content for a 60 year old game. 😮
Right! And different regions will carry with them different takes on pre-war life, as well as how that translates into a post-post apocalyptic setting. Fallout is really about how society evolves to adapt to extreme circumstances, and it permeates almost every facet of the games, from the Kings religion in New Vegas to the Children of Atom in the Bethesda games
@@zanimus666 ahhhh man I remember playing that for the first time! Still in my top 5 game moments (all Ghillied Up or Ghillies in the Mist, I forget what it's called
I cannot wait to see how Vault 13 does Necropolis and the Cathedral. Im also really interested in how they do the time limits that were present in Fallout 1 and if they’ll not include them or not.
So, it could be they won't bother with time limits, but I can't confirm nor deny That being said hell yeah 3d Necropolis and Cathedral would be tight AF. Still kind of shocking how little people know about some of the most unique locations in the game because they're in F1
F4SE was updated within DAYS of the Next Gen update and yet its been almost a month and not a peep. I doubt it was ready. These other conversion mods look AWESOME though, I had neverheard of any but New Vegas! Truly incredible people love this game so much to do these projects
Tons of much smaller but still popular mods that haven't updated yet and are partially or completely broken, it's not as simple as just getting the F4SE update.
Other needed mods are still broken, like extended dialogues. Plus, a third update by Bethesda is supposed to drop again soon, which may break everything, again
Im hoping so. If it helps, the teams I spoke to were not terribly concerned about the Next Gen Update but that might have been stoic optimism on their parts. In any case, even if it becomes too difficult or contrived they should release for 1.10.163 anyway IMO
@@SnailOXD I think if the tools worked prior to the update that they'll be able to get it running properly. I doubt that the devs for the game would go so far as to do anything that would break things irrepairably, I mean the game is many years old and mods like these are a much bigger draw than anything other than the new show.
I’m beyond excited for Cascadia, Seattle has a certain vibe that fits perfectly with certain themes of Fallout. Struggle and survival set against a backdrop of moody rainy weather in pine forests just sounds perfect.
if... a big IF, bethesda wanted to be on the top spot, they could contact some modrs and implement a patch that imbedded F4SE or actualy increase their script limit... one can only dream.
this would be the most ideal course of action. From what I understand Bethesda does actually have some contact with the F4SE team, but I don't know that it's official by any means
@@jaron1472 I said stated that the Enclave would be a main faction two years ago not that the mod started two years ago and after talking to two of the devs I have confirmed the enclave is still in the mod
really nice vid, thanks for giving a shout out to all these amazing looking mods. Fingers crossed Beth stops messing with the game for a while and we can have a stable version of F4 so we can start playing with mods and total conversions again
thank you for the kind words; ultimately I'm just a fallout fan excited about these mods just like you guys are, so I'm happy to share them. Honestly I think at this point mod teams should prepare to release strictly for 1.10.163 since it's the last version that is compatible with over 98% of current and past mods
Dam I was tuned in with miami Fl new Vegas remake, Fl3 remake and London but now I know there's even more!!!! I'm so proud of the community and what they have been doing for us
Im not sure who was claiming that to begin with to be honest with you. It's totally possible, but doesn't take away from the excitement these projects present either.
One of the best parts about these game-sized projects (if/when they ever come out) is the mods people will create which will be compatible with all of them. A new Frontier (pun fully intended) for Fallout modding is about to open up.
lmaooooo Frontier Yeah, that's gonna be extremely exciting. The best part about bigger mods like this is when the community expands on them, like with other mods such as Sim Settlements 2. I don't expect Fallout 4 modding to go away any time soon, Starfield simply doesn't scratch the same itch
These all look great, I’m mostly looking forward to Cascadia - I used to work nearby a location shown in the gameplay segment. I normally play on consoles but I’ll probably get a PC just for these mods (also for the Skyrim Oblivion and Morrowind remake mods).
Honestly getting a gaming pc has never been cheaper or easier; so many unbelievable resources out there for anyone with any level of comfort with tech. it's worth it even for little mods that add up to a greater whole
@@SnailOXD I got tired of keeping my pc up to date and now my pc is on the mid / lower end, just enough for 4X, Sims and City Builders. I’ll definitely look into these resources once a few more of these mods release.
@@Jon0387 honestly IMO keeping up to date is a meme, you really only need a good 30 series and a decent CPU. I'm using a 3050 and it plays everything just fine, and really it's just a 1660 Super with RTX in terms of power.
@@SnailOXD that’s good to know, I’ll have to look into getting a new PC. I still remember the 90’s where computers were considered obsolete as soon as you leave the store, so I’m glad its much more stable.

Fallout London has to hurry up, Im having a hard time containing my excitement In the mean time though I'll be playing the DLC remake for Point Lookout, which is from Capital Wasteland team, new video for that one too if you havent seen it yet
Not sure if the total conversion mod is still in production but I know there's a team working on Fallout Nuevo Mexico in the New Vegas engine, could be something cool to look into
absolutely, I can have a look at it shortly and determine if a video can be made. My thing is normally just Fallout 4 but I don't have anything against branching into other games briefly. Thanks!
13 is going to be a weird one... the original game took a long time because combat took a long time. When you were in that initial cave after leaving the vault it took like 20 minutes to kill those rats. A 3d remake will take maybe 15 seconds. At the pace of Fallout 4 the game will be super short.
It could be different if they plan on expanding the exploration loop to fit Fallout 4's gameplay (which I believe is the plan anyway). But yes, that's a point I haven't thought about till now, actually; combat in F1 took a lot more time due to it's nature, and should probably be scaled upward to fit the context of 3D real time combat. I do know for fact they plan to expand the game world in a massive way; we're actually getting a playable demo later this year with the first map area available for play (includes pretty much the whole northern side of the map)
@@SnailOXD It looks like they intend on using vast swaths of empty desert to replace the fast travel system of the original... if they add a ton of random encounters to find it could really work and somewhat help to lengthen gameplay.
@@polydynamix7521 yeah! That would be huge, and apparently they're also expanding cityscapes as well, so I'm hoping we get to see a massive version of The Hub. Hopefully we also get "that gun" in a similar location, because that was fun
@@SnailOXD Yeah, the fallout IP team is really dumb, Emil comes out with the "you can be whatever you want to be" argument right after making a statement that contradicts what he says afterwards.
@@Surma187 While I admire Emil's zeal as far as the Fallout series goes, I think several times he's demonstrated a lack of understanding in regards to pre-established lore. Sometimes it just works, like the Power Armor change, other times it simply doesn't, like Jet or Super Mutants being in Appalachia. I liked muties a lot better when they originated from Mariposa
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an official "Fallout New Orleans" happen some time soon. I think Bethesda realizes people don't really want another east coast Fallout, but I don't think they're interested in going West Coast either (don't blame em). Appalachia was a step toward this, but it has the misfortune of being in F76.
i look forward to seeing the new Vegas fallout 4 and the fallout 2 mods cause i tried to play fallout 2 it looks great but its dated tbh lol but anway great video Snail 👍
hey thanks for saying so, and glad to see you back here! I will concede I'm super excited about the prospect of Fallout 1 but it's 2024, it's my favourite vanilla game in the franchise and I'd easily put in so many hours on it. When (if) it comes out I'm so sorry, that's all I'll be uploading for a while
It could be, but ultimately FOLON knew exactly what the deal was when they started making their mod. Bethesda's rule has always been that they'll never make accomodations at the expense of what they want to do with their game. Now, I don't necessarily agree with them doing that, but it is the unwritten agreement every modder enters into with Fallout. That being said, they did not need to choose to delay it; that was their elective to do so, and they could have just released what they had. I've helped over 100,000 people rollback their Fallout 4 versions, so there's no way Team FOLON could argue that no one would play it
I really hope these mods actually see a release someday. They've been working on these for years and the scope is just so huge, who knows how long it will take before they're finally out. By then, I feel like the hype will be much less. Who knows, maybe Fallout 5 would release first, and then probably Bethesda would push a patch for Fallout 4 around the same time and break everything again.
It'll be kinda crazy when we walk in there and a Dark Souls style HUD pops up and we can suddenly dodge roll :/ In all seriousness, that is ONE major thing I'm really looking forward to with any 3D remake of F1. It's my favourite RPG in the series
@@SnailOXD I’m just interested how their going to go about transferring what made Fo1 special like it’s particular character building system into the post-Bethesda ARPG format while still maintaining the feel of the original. I don’t think their just gonna recreate the fo1 locations and quests and plop them all into worldspaces and call it a day my totally unrealistic hope is that they rework the fast travel to work like the map screen
ngl not having killable kid in the remake of the OG when they're trying to be authentic as possible is crazy to me. Maybe it's just cause Tim Cain (THE original creator of the series) is a huge inspiration to me but given how he's talked about *why* it's important for the game, for them to get rid of it either shows they don't fully get of what made the first game so special (or are atleast willing to compromise it), or they're willing to make fundamental changes to the core of what is essentially a FO1 remake. That's not inherently a bad thing, but it is telling.
I don't even remember seeing a single kid in the first Fallout. I know the European version of 2 removed them, which broke some quests, but transplanting some files was enough to fix it.
@@SmorgasvordThat was years ago and it was due to them attempting to use the original voice lines. It was something about the rights that BGS couldn't guarantee so they had to ask them to not use them which initially shut down the mod. Since then however, the project is alive and well with them releasing a plethora of standalone mods and an entire recreation of the point lookout dlc with their own cast of voices which is also their plan for the main mod. Recently they have also been working on a complete recreation of the Pitt dlc as well, with them even expanding that world space. In fact they were doing so well that BGS even hired some of their team members.
Hearing that I can make a video that gives someone this sort of feeling is why I make videos to begin with. So happy these projects bring you joy, and I'm similarly VERY hype for Cascadia!
Its definitely the one I feel would draw the most interest; NV is huge in this community. I'm excited to see what they can do in Fallout 4's engine, and more excited to play NV with 4's gunplay
Fallout Vault 13 demo is out now if that's something you want to try! I haven't had a chance yet because my IRL job is taking priority atm unfortunately
I mean, they are made in Fallout 4's engine, and to remake every asset brand new from scratch would probably extend the development time by years. Although many of these teams have made many custom 3D assets of their own, and these will all carry brand new quests and game mechanics so it'll still be worth playing, especially for free
I dont understand why they dont Just release Fallout london? You can Roll back your game Version and it doesnt need any of yhe stuff from the new update so why delay it? Just because they want it to run on the live version for seemingly no reason? Shot themselves in the foot.
I kind of agree, I think 1.10.163 is going to be the last good version of the game, considering it's the latest one you can play any mod ever made on. However they've said they want their game to be available for everyone (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since console and Microsoft store already can't play it)
I mean yeah a lott of ppl use the older version and older mods so their game isnt broken maybe the London team thought it'd bee to much hassle they have to wait until Bethesdas put out all the hot fixes and the script extender mod is fully fledged which could be weeks or month, hell even a year
Yeah, I try to ascribe to the belief that Bethesda isn't out to sabotage anyone, and my comms with the mod teams would verify that, especially in Cascadia's case
Based on Bethesda's lamentable performance over the last few years, I agree. That said, they're most all years away from release- IF they release at ll.
@@lesroquel for reference, they're still working on it and have declined to give me a release date, which is pretty standard of all the mods. But they're actively working on the Pitt DLC and the Point Lookout DLC is out now on Nexus
I know there arent any plans for it right now, and its not possible at the moment because of how big these mods are, but I'd love to see these projects be playable on consoles in the future
The sad part is I don't believe it'll ever be possible, and there's a couple major reasons, 1. 2GB Limit on any Bethesda.net mods 2. Even if there was no limit, F4SE would 100% be required. F4SE works by "hooking into" and extending the scripting capabilities of the .exe. This is something that just isn't possible on console versions, and even on gamepass/MSFT store versions it's not possible. Different .exes, and added security features. Beats me as to why, but that's the situation as far as the F4SE team has explained it. Now, if you could somehow hack/mod your console and put the modded game on a nicely packed file, /in theory/ it could be possible, but this is assuming the console can read the packed file/exe
I am just so happy to see them making basically Fallout 4 but this place and that place... After playing London and loving it once I fixed the crashing problem, I am so excited to see these fill the gap while Bethesda make another Fallout game... Gotta say if they are anything like Fallout London, I make like them more than the original.
Fallout Cascadia is the most exciting to me. A member of the team told me their map is actually even bigger than London's, and they'll be nearing completion in a couple years
I question I have is if Fallout 4 New Vegas include cut content from the original, like post ending events/story, cut ending slides, or making Mr. House join the NCR? Another question I have is if Cascadia will have any references to the frontier, whether good or bad?
I can safely say Cascadia will not have any reference to The Frontier whatsoever, since the mod teams are completely separate. This is also discounting the bad optics surrounding The Frontier's release. As for NV cut content, I'm not sure they're planning to add any, but I can't say they won't. I will say for now it appears the scope of their project is simply a 1:1 remake of New Vegas for Fallout 4's engine
@@SnailOXDGood to know. Hopefully some of the cut content will be added back into the mod because there were some cool things. Perhaps there could be two versions of the mod one with and without the cut content, though that seems impossible.
Neither was I, likely. I tend to circle back on words sometimes so I had to stitch that bit together. I'm not joking there are like 200+ cuts to the audio track for this video. This video was weird too; I made it three weeks before release initially, there was like 5 minutes of dialogue in that first section that simply didn't work anymore since the update had hit us by then.
I have some extra pictures from F4NV, let me know if you are interested in receiving them and using them for the next video maybe? Got a good amount, probably not seen by any major FO content creators yet :D
Only Todd Howard could take a 9 year old game that is only being held together and played for as long as it has because of mods... And then throw a suprise update out of the blue and destroys most of the mods, creates a new glitch bugging the console mod limits, and sets back fallout London (and who knows what other big projects else) at least another year.
To be fair, the entire dev team that made the patches helped destroy the mods too :) Honestly it was a completely unnecessary update that added nothing of actual value, nothing noticeable, and only served to break mods not once, but twice (somehow)
I didn't even bother playing it after I saw all the posts from people who played it. I just updated it for a roll-back instructions video and that was it, been happily playing with mods ever since
I have hope for the remake overhauls since they have templates to work off. It's the original overhauls I fear for. The only 3D Fallout original overhaul I've seen praised is Dust, and it's sequel Frost, but those are very different from what these other mods are aiming for.
@@SnailOXD Nah Horizon is more like an overhaul of the existing game. I should have said conversions, not overhaul, sorry. Think ZERO, New California, and The Frontier. Doesn't help that I mentioned Dust and Frost, which are more overhauls than conversions. My bad.
