Honestly these days I only consider buying vintage bags. Quality was way better, price is definitely lower and I appreciate the look! Thank you for this video ❤
Vintage is always better. I agree with you. Can you make a video recommending your favorite vintage shops? As you mentioned, it can be challenging knowing if bags aren’t authenticated etc.
I just bought a Celine nano luggage in black with gold hardware in smooth calf leather. I bought it from Rebag official secondhand and it was literally $1200 less than retail price. It’s new Celine and I’m absolutely in love with the size of the bag it’s just perfect for every day function. It’s fantastic to if you want a little bit more of an understated bag for every day use but still amazing quality. Basically, every luxury bag I own is secondhand and I’m all for vintage. Love you vids as well! I watch every week ❤
@@lolastauff5792 can you send a link here in the RU-vid comments? I got myself a brown one and I’m not sure if it’s super classy or if it looks like a granny bag 😂
I went to Chanel store in Paris. I really tried to like something but nothing… the new releases are underwhelming. I almost forced myself to buy something. It felt as though they are only relying on their prestige, but quality and aesthetic wise, they are not up there anymore.
I feel like they are just putting the same stuff over and over again and it’s not even what we all loved, it’s very off putting colors, shapes and styles that are not tasteful or appealing
I was at chanel a week ago and the color palette was horrible, it’s sad really. How can they not realize that pastels and classic shades would make us buy more
@@JesuisLou would you reccomend a vintage birkin 40 for a 6’2 man? i really like a big bag for me (and that it fits a laptop) and they are on the resale market for under 10k. i feel like big bags are coming back so this might be the perfect time!
I just purchased my first louis bag secondhand! Its vintage and the patina is so gorgeous- plus it was like 1/10 of the cost of getting it new 😳 I definitely want to purchase some new bags for the experience but I’m worried about the quality especially with these crazy price increases!!
Very of-the-moment, white bags, belts and shoes are going to be a winter look. Very defining. Sharpens up the brown, grey, navy, black or camel neutrals. Plus really good for summer. The only downside with white is maintenance, but if you're onto it after using you will be well in front! Great choice. Just be careful with colour transfer with the patent, especially with denim and pens.
I enjoy the hunt for vintage bags but I will never pay higher price than its current retail price.. don't care if it's a rare leather or whatever. I always find deals for 40-70% below the current pricing. Before, it's just normal to find bags sold at a loss, about 50% how much they bought them and not current pricing, thinking they've used the bag already. But it seems as though bags are now being bought and resold just for the fact it "holds its value"
I agree the price is too high for a used and old bag. The condition may be great but it’s still an old bag no way should it be the same or higher as new from store. The vintage market was once a place to get a great deal now it’s a money grab for sellers and resellers
