This time around in Guild Wars 2 I put together the Best 5 Maps to farm gold for a casual player.
There may be better maps, there may be better guides, but this one is mine!
I figured I'd make this one more low key and casual friendly. It's not always about the most and best efficient number per second of every second of game time.
These are 5 maps that are very easy to farm gold. They can be done again and again. Super simple to do and people are always making groups and squads to get them done.

I just got to Dragonfall in the story and I was surprised to see how crowded the place was lol. This explains why.

Haha ya people love that meta. It’s one of my favorites. When you do it grab some good gathering tools because you hit plenty of nodes at the same time. Also when you do the meta X amount of times there an achievement for it that’ll give you a mastery point. (Can’t remember the name off the top of my head)

Personally, I find Drizzlewood to be the best Meta because of all the material chests you get with the infinite achievements! You just choose which faction that gets you the mats you might need or the ones that fetch the most gold on the Trading Post!

I'd also highly recommend Dragon Stand. Once a map finishes the meta, it closes and boots you to a new map where you can repeat the meta all over again and it's pretty fun. After the boss you'd open the noxious pods (which I don't think have a daily reset) and kill treasure mushrooms that spawn in each lane (and respawn after 10 minutes).

DS was a super close contender for a spot. If I made it 6 it definitely would’ve been in there. I agree there is tons of loot plus you can find another map. Only issue I have found is trying to get enough machetes. It’s possible to buy them with other map currency but that would require constantly grinding those other maps. Which isn’t a bad thing per say. Unless if there is another way to get a bunch of them, I haven’t found it yet. All I do is use my karma converter to give me one for free as a daily.

I wanted to do that map for days now to get my Seasons of the Dragon achievements but even though I've had an eye on the LFG, I didn't see a single squad running it (in EU). The map seems dead as a doornail.

Gotta get that Crystalline ore for Maguuma mastery :) - Don't forget that you can use the Ley-Energy Matter Converter once a day to get a machete ( and lots of other stuff ).

the fishing in gyala delve is actually the single most profitable part of the meta and and should always be done (with shrimpling as bait) I feel like that should be mentioned xD

15:18 The gemstones have one main use that still helps them maintaining price on trading post: Throw 4 of them into the Mystic Forge and there is a small chance you may get an Amalgamated Gemstone. This process may also upgrade gemstones to a higher grade. The higher the gemstone grade used in mystic forging, the better the chance of an Amalgamated Gemstone.

@@CatDadThings I don't have the drop rate data of Gyala Delve chests to conclude, but before that map's release, mystic forging has been how I consumed the gemstones.

Dragonfall depends on how well organised a group is. Same with drizle. For casual geting standard pof meta train and cantha(no dragons end) train may be beter then whats proposed here.

I picked Dragonfall and Drizzle due to the frequency, ease, and I that you can replay them again and again. Plus Drizzlewood has so much loot it’s hard to pass up.

I find joining a meta train daily gives good amount of gold and loot and it's easy.. just follow the commander wherever he goes and you're all good.. usually meta trains start after server reset or hours before reset.

Fishing in crystal oasis should net you 15g/hr thats it. No meta, no rotations no waypoints, no nothing. Just casual gaming.

These maps are run by player interaction. So the action all begins depending on if people are there or not. When you check Gyala for example it won’t even start without ten people

I have tried to get back to maining warrior. What build do you use? Do you casual solo?

Lately I’ve been using the dagger/axe and hammer Spellbreaker build. Has some decent sustain and really good at CC. It’s good damage too for open world and even Instance content. It can be run for strikes and fractals no problem. And yes most of my time with this game has been as a casual solo player. Even though I’m in a good sized guild I usually do my own thing. Lately I’ve been trying to be more active with them though.

how exactly can i make gold out of these metas? do i just sell everything that i get out if the chest in the trading post?

Many of the metas give you either general mats that you can sell as well as map specific mats which can be sold or used to buy things that can be crafted or sold. It can get complex on what to sell, craft, or hold on to. If you want it just simple, yes sell it as a sell order on the trading post. Immediate sells are immediate but will net you less money. After a while you’ll learn what’s hot and cold items and when a price is either good or bad. Plus there’s some websites and discords out there that help with that knowledge as well.

RIBA gets me only 4G per hour if I sell the stuff from the chest. 2G per run.

How do you gain gold from that? You buy unidentified rares, open and salvage them? I've seen the rate is about 0.9 ecto per rare, and you pay for the salvage, plus the 15% cut from the TP when you sell the ecto. Doesn't seem like it leaves a lot of room for profits...

@@CatDadThings It was by rage LOL, I had 300g originally and got rekt to 50g. Sold some exotics for 100g to do 1 gamble, and kept going with wins of 200g/losses of 100g. Once I got the 500g card. Stopped at 1k

@@TRISHYXX Whatever works I guess! I tried ecto gamble like twice. And for very low amounts. That stuff is too spicy for me to handle xD
