Trying to find recommendations between the Gesture, Leap V2 and the Karman. But no one seems to direct comparisons between the Karman and other Steelcase chairs. Unfortunately the only experience i have with chairs is a secretlab Omega (2018) that I have always found lacking, namely it just has a lumbar pillow that makes you sit so wrong, but its worse without the pillow! Anyway, what are your thoughts between the three Steelcase chairs in comparison to one another? Cheers!
Leap is too old technology wise, it doesn't compare to Gesture anymore. Karman looks like a trendy gimmick. And if you're tall - limited in seat depth.
Is the friction to the clothes the same between intermix vs intermix opaque when you sit on it? I had the opportunity to sit on a karman with the standard intermix but found it a little off. It wasn't until your video pointed out how it grabs the clothes did I figure out why.
is it possible to remove the foam under seat? and if removing it would make it more comfortable like in Aeron Remastered vs Classic? Not sure what is the purpose of the foam.
At this point we haven't checked that part out and unsure if it is removable or not. The Foam is added for the extra support and padding. I am currently sitting in the Karman and not sure how it would feel without it but this is something we are looking at.
Hmm, the grabbiness is something that would bother me. I actually don't mind the plasticky feel of the Aeron, and it's less important to me than the grabbiness anyway. I've been eyeing this chair, but the grabbiness combined with my concerns about the frame around the mesh not being as soft as a traditional cushion has me reconsidering the Gesture.
The Karman is a good chair but it sounds like the gesture would be a better fit for you. We have gestures over 30% off on our website at crandalloffice.com under the steelcase authorized factory returns if you use code: Prime30 it will give you 30% off the chair.
Good point, we will have to see how bad it gets. We've had the chair for about a month now and we will constantly see what new things develop over time.
