I'm sitting with a 17' my self. Turbo inlet, intake, borla cat back and IEs tune. Glad IE has golf R turbo with stock downpipe cause I don't feel like dealing with smog down the line in Cali. Lol

I got 303 KM, 445 Nm in 2015 model. Riding this car 5 years plus, and never been to the mechanic. (Poland EU). Few days decided to not te sell, ale will keep it 4 live.

Exhaust system is a good upgrade for thr MK7, it creates more flow compared to stock exhaust with all the restrictions, this is a nice set up of mods too, you are looking more at the lower 300whp with this setup rn, if you are planning on making more than 400+whp or even 500whp, I recommend you skip all the OTS tunes and do custom tuning, UM and EQT are the best and most reliable tuners rn for thr MQB platform

Good video and excellent explanations. Performance Pack is your bigger Golf R brakes, Electronic LSD and a 10HP increase. Sunroof and shiny bits have nothing to do with PP, thats just the cars trim level (S, SE, Rabbit like mine or Autobahn) Keep up the great content

I have done revo stage 2 ecu, cts turbo open cone intake, cts turbo inlet, decat downpipe and valved catback. Because I do not have an upgraded intercooler, the ecu tune is capped at 318hp

Arm downpipe is amazing.

You should check out the EQT Ground kit which prevents you for braking the ground wires on top of the coil packs and reroutes the ground point. It's definitely a good upgrade.

The gains on catless versus hi flo race cats on ea888 playform was proven to be 1-3 hp and no mentionable tourqe gains that is between the errormargins of testing so theres no need to run catless and deal with cel, potential warranty issues and smog testing plus the smell in cabin of toxic fuel residues. So basicly its for the sound estetics only. Nice car and some good mods youre running. I have the same minus the DP and i love it.

I've got a 2017 mk7 6 speed DSG, I have a DSG tune, EQT 91 tune, catless downpipe, and FMIC. Also have turbo inlet and muffler delete, which I am going to install once I get an intake.

Nice ride! However I would argue oem location inter cooler, the front mounts are pretty small, also I dont trust ecs. IE makes a gigantic oem location intercooler.

Just curious how you run a full "Catless" system in California? Where I live in SoCal that is an automatic fail when you get your car smogged for tags every other year.

The performance package doesn’t come with the sunroof. That’s the trim level you have. Being that it doesn’t have the upgraded fender audio, it’s safe to assume you have the SE package with the drivers assistance package as well. The SE package comes with the sunroof and leather seats as well as the driver assistance package and comes standard with the performance package which adds the bigger brakes, a LSD and 10 more hp

Damn, I've been postponing certain bolt on mods because I figured I'd have to do my IS38 swap first on my GLI, I just realized instead of putting a shitty Chinese version in temporarily I could just put a GTI turbo in. It should work without any issues and give me a bit more reliability and possibly still a tad bit of performance.

The biggest restriction is the heads. Over 650hp is pushing hot 40+ psi exhaust out just two exhaust ports.

Would definitely get the downpipe in a heartbeat but the problem is that I hear about it triggering a CEL and I’d rather actually know if my engine has problems rather than a CEL constantly on. My tuner EQT doesn’t offer a tune to eliminate the CEL and the 02 spacer isn’t guaranteed to eliminate it

Nice car, decent build. Definitely change out the plugs. Though I doubt you'll gap a hellcat at that hp level, scats, sure but not a hellcat unless they lose traction on a pull.

Gotta ask you did all this and didn’t upgrade the clutch? That seems important to add . Even with a stage 1 tune with no mods stock my buddy told me to upgrade the clutch cause it will slip. With all this seems like the stock clutch would be destroyed pretty quickly

On the product page it says this "Not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle as per the California Air Resources Board." Is the GTI considered a "pollution-controlled vehicle" in CA? Another question. Can the bolt on mods be done under the hood on the 2023 GTI?

Three minutes into this video and I can already tell he doesn't know the differences between the MK and MK7.5 GTI. The MK7 had a 6 speed DSG (I had the 2015 with the 6 speed DSG), and the MK7.5 had the 7 speed DSG. Totally different beasts. I live my MK7.5, but not related until it went stage two. When stock it shifted halfway like a CVT. STAGE one ecu and tcu it shifted a lot between but had major traction control interference that drove me nuts and resulted in only be able to run 13.6 at 103 in the quarter mile, cause I could not do a burnout due to the undefeatable traction/stability control. This was not an issue in my MK7 with the 6 speed. STAGE TWO ecu and tcu on my MK7.5 has been wonderful. For some reason the stage two tunes have made the once interfering traction control wayyyyyyy less of an issue. Had I not tried stage two u would have sold my MK7.5 out of pure frustration. I will go to the track later this summer and will most definitely whoop the old number of 13.6. There are many MK7 and MK7.5 GTI reviews on RU-vid and I woukd watch those. This one is full of inaccuracies ans stupid ideas. Anyone that suggest the first mod you do is an intercooler has NO credibility.

okay so your for sure gonna need a bigger turbo to keep up with hellcats. The stock is20 dies after 90 to 100 MPH. May need to be closer to 450 500 to stay with hellcat imo STOCK THAT IS

Get the Flexfuel harness from IE and go E85. You will hit close to 400hp Thank me later 😁

Better change out those RS plugs for something safer, the ground straps break off and cause engine damage. It has been a known problem for awhile now.

Not hating or anything but where’d you get your information from ? 😂😂😂.I have the same Mk7.5 Gti and same exact mod but with a full exhaust. The only performance package on a GTI is the Autobahn. S and SE are the exact same thing but the seats and touchscreen. You mentioned 370 hp!?!?? That’s a lie, IE charts shows 322hp and you can’t use the E30 tune on the Mk7.5 platform because IE hasn’t released any E tunes at the moment. All the mod that you mentioned can’t beat a hellcat nor a stock 2017 Camaro SS. I’m from Los banos if you want to know anything more on the MQB lmk or reply back.

just leave it aloan now. Don't make it unrealiable. 370 hp is more than enough for the front wheels. Maybe some lighter wheels with some 235/ 0r 245 tires if it can fit them.

not 370, stage 2 ht is maybe 300 wheels. i run the IE GT2260 tune, 390 hp, FMIC are not better than direct fit. get the catted downpipe, lots of this is garbage forum fake news

I'm sorry but I really don't believe that you make 370 wheel with Bolt ons. With my bolt ons and tune I make 345 wheel and I have everything you do other than an FIC.

Needs rims badly. The worst thing about some GTI’s is the wheels look like they came off a Prius. If you want to maintain the value, VW sells a few. Add a splitter on the back, if you can afford it I suggest the Oettinger body kit. I’ve got a 2017 SE Oettinger full kit and exhaust IE downpipe Injen EVO3003 and a short ram as well. SR for the whoosh, but if I truly cared about the extra performance the closed air box is better. But I take isn’t necessary, just take the snow guard off and drop a new filter in the stock box. APR tune. VW Roof rack (necessity for looks) VW splash guard kit VW Pretoria 18” wheels Will probably add an intercooler and a few more things out of boredom Intercooler not necessary unless full stage 2. Hard to believe you put 370 HP in mods in this and just added a rear spoiler lol. Lose the rims and I rly hope that’s not a DSG.
