mine favorite got to be the Kansbol , i graduated hunting school a few months ago and my grandpa ( who loves the Mora 2000) gifted me a Kansbol , he said that he wanted to gift me a mora 2000 but they hadnt been in stock ( my grandpa is in his mid 70s so Amazon and stuff isnt a thing for him ) . So he drove over 130 miles to buy a Present for me . I just love him .

I have an embarrassing number of Moras but I’m never too far away from one, either. All the boats, workshops, packs, and cars have one and I even got Ragnar’s unnumbered review model of the 125th Anniversary #1 before he passed away. That is a thing of beauty. The most used are a old red Craftline and an old Mora #1 which sit above my work benches. Some of these are over 30 years old but they are all used. Great gifts, too.

I bought my first one last year, a companion, the orange one. I'm a woman, 52 years old, ex military in French army and not to be allow to have a weapon really makes me crazy, but it's an another topic... At the beginning, people around me found it hilarious to want to learn some skills with a 13 euros knife...they don't laugh anymore :)))

One robust next to the bed, one in my vehicle, and I EDC an olive drab 511. I also have a Companion stainless that I really, really like too. FWIW, I really like my Mora-made BAHCO 2444... It's pretty much a Mora Companion with a 2mm thick stainless blade, great grippy handle, and orange sheath. Can pick these up for $7-$10, and it makes a GREAT kitchen knife among many other things.

I was not so sure about buying a Mora when I first heard about them. I thought it was impossible for knives that cheap to be THAT good, but one of my friends let me handle his and I immediately fell in love. Four years later, Mora is one of my favorite brands of all time and the Robust is my favorite knife ever. I only have three as of now, but believe me I'll be getting more soon!

Yeah I never had one because let's be honest, Moras are ugly as sin. And I thought there's no way a knife that looks so cheap and IS so cheap could be any good. Boy was I wrong. I love my 2000, had it for 13 years and it's still going strong...it's just a perfect knife. The Kansbol is a nice variation on it but it's not an upgrade, it's just a variation in my opinion. The 2000 is still the outdoor knife of choice in Sweden as far as I know. If, I was in the market for another blade I would seriously consider a Companion. They look very sweet indeed.

Now, i moved to Sweden and i became a swedish knives addict, Hultrafors, Falkniven and the king "morakniv". Cheap, confortable, sharp, excellent steel, usefull, i found the knife that i will bring to explore the north of Sweden. I just have a problem, everytime when i go to a shop where they have mora K. I buy one. The result is that i have 15 of those and my wife got uppset. Take care.

I have all of the following Moras: Companion HD, LightMyFire, 106, 120, 122, Garberg, and the Kansbol. The Kansbol is my most recent addition and it has quickly become my favorite. The “profile grind” and thinner blade stock make it an incredible slicer, while it still remains exceptionally capable of other bushcraft/camp tasks like carving, feather sticking, and in a pinch it could even be used to baton. All are fantastic values, but the Kansbol is a nearly perfect combination of weight, ergonomics, performance, durability and cost. 👍🏼

I have a Basic, a Companion, an Eldris & a Kansbol. I must say I like the Kansbol most among them since the handle is very grippy, the thin-out tip of the blade is perfect for my food prep & fine cuts, and basicly that's a strong robust knife.

Just bought 3 of the 511 to use as boat/bait knives and a emergency truck knife for my Tacoma. First off for a cheap 10 dollar knife the blade grinds and the actual sharpness of the blades out of the bag were incredible, far better than I could have expected, handles are comfortable and the sheaths while cheap are serviceable. What more could you ask for. I will beat them up, possibly loose them and probably neglect them but I definitely won’t cry about any damage to them. It’s too early for me to tell about edge retention or the ability to resharpen but at this price it’s worth the risk.

Nice video. I’ve got the Mora Companion SS, and an Eldris. The Companion lives up to its name, and I’d recommend everyone to have one as a “companion” knife to do the dirty work and finer tasks like cleaning out fish. The Eldris has a genius design, as it has eliminated the flat part of the belly of a regular knife, and therefore provides the opportunity to use it for tasks that you would use a tip of a knife for, but it does a better job at it since the “tip” is closer to your hand. I have to admit, though, that I still find myself grabbing the Companion before anything else.

I'm from Sweden and every Swedish soldier carries a Mora 2000! There is probably at least one Mora knife in every Swedish home, here they are very affordable so there is no reason to buy anything else. An alternative is, of course, Hultafors, also a Swedish brand.

Thank you. That's a very nice and useful review. Mora IMHO produces the best price/performance knives for hikers and workers. Personally I chose to have a Companion Carbon and an Eldris. I carry the Companion when I'm out as a volunteer in a group of "Trail Angels" for trail maintenance or our area. And since I bought the Eldris, it has became my buddy in most of my hiking and light trekking. And it doesn't make me miss a longer/stronger blade.

I have a stainless steel companion, it is by far my favorite knife ever. I like it because it has a good sized blade and is strong while still lighter and it keeps its edge pretty well. Edit: it is keeping a edge very very well. I would recommend the stainless or the carbon.

I’ve had my companion for over a week and I sliced my finger the other day chopping some wood. I simply wiped the blade with me finger to get the muck off and I didn’t even know I’d cut it until I felt something wet and then saw the blood pissing out of my finger. I couldn’t believe how feel it cut and so fine that I didn’t feel any pain for about an hour. It’s sharp

I always throw a Mora in pack, even if I have a more expensive knife. Moras are tough, dependable, and light weight. For the price you cant beat them, and honestly, for the performance, there really is no need to have an expensive custom. The Robust is not full tang , but as you referenced the DBK video , it is definitely a hard use tool!

Yeah I sold my Bark Rivers, Bucks and other knives many years ago. I only kept a Fallkniven F1 that I never use. The reason is that my favourite the Mora 2000 cuts as good or better than any of those knives but more importantly, it weighs a lot less. When hiking knife is very important. Nothing beats a Mora for pure function. These days I find a Mora Eldris or Mora 120 is what I bring 99.99% of the time. Tired of how knife RU-vid is full of people on desk that don’t seem to be actual outdoor people. And lots of blah blah about steel, which is completely meaningless. The steel used and heat treated by Mora is all anyone would ever need. The important thing is to have a good sharpening routine.

I have a bunch of Moras among my obscene collection of knives and honestly, my favorites are the simplest. The Mora 122 sloyd is one of the best whittling/carving knives I’ve ever encountered. It’s laminated carbon/stainless steel and its the easiest of my knives to get hair whittling sharp quickly. The Eldris is a killer little all purpose blade and the classic line (carbon steel, red wooden handles) are fantastic. They’re all very basic and utilitarian but they’re awesome for the work that I don’t wanna put my Spydercos, Opinels, etc. through.

Started with the NO. 2? and the 511 many years ago. The 2000 came out; was and still is my favorite Mora. I like the handle better than Kansbol; same blade. That blade is also on the Forrest, with the same grip as the Black. I don't like that grip; I cut out the swell in the handle where your middle finger goes and like it much better. Garberg's are great knives, but I think the Terava 110 is a better choice. I put the Kansbol belt loop ($4) on the 510 ($14) sheath. It make a nice little rig. I've tried and use "most" of their models, I own tons of them. I've never tried the floating or the light my fire. I wish they would make the 2000 handle with the same blade design; just make it carbon; with the thickness of the Black or Garberg. I would buy a dozen of them and put them everywhere. - ha. Nice Video. Thanks!

I own MANY Mora. And I stand behind them all. If I had to grab one and trust it with my life.......it’s the Garberg. It is as tough of a knife as any and I guarantee it will outlive me. If you’re looking for a food prep/all around camp knife....then the Kansbol or the Companion is for you.....it really boils down to your blade profile preference. The Eldris is a great small blade for fine work and Bushcrafting tasks (notching and intricate carving) The craftline/511/No2 are all great choices for a knife that can handle all sorts of everyday tasks. If you were to blindly pull one of my Mora from the shelf and hand it to me.....I feel confident that, whatever knife you chose, would serve me well. They are just fantastic knives. I tend to stay away from the carbon blades because I am an avid outdoorsman and they require far less maintenance. I own a few carbon blades and they are prone to rust......you just about have to oil them after EVERY use.....and I don’t want to have to worry about that. I can leave my stainless knives strapped to the deck of a kayak and not worry one bit about rust. Just MPO FYI . See you Out There!

If I may, I dont mean to hijack however. Just to share my small collection of Moras, i myself own the Craftline 511 and Precision Trade, the Eldris and just recently bought the 5.8 inch Companion. I might possibly buy the Garberg or the 8.1 inch Companion... But the full tang mora is so alluring lol and of course there is the Kansbol...too many choices! Cheers to all blade carriers! ✌😎🔪

I have a Mora 2000 I bought in the late 90:s, then I bought a stainless steel version Bushcraft survival black (not orange or tan) 6 years ago but they replaced with the black carbon later on. I also have a Eldris and Kansbol. I have never experienced a failure with a Mora in my life.

My Pro S and especially my Bushcraft Black Carbon (with fire stick and sharpener on the sheath) are my go-to Moras. Immense value for low price.

ive started collecting them at this point, started with the companion and robust and was impressed now i have a classic (also because of cody lundin!) on the way and a kansbol too. been eyeing the garberg but cant see how full tang could change much, even now the ones i own exceed my expectations and for the price! you couldn’t get anything better.

Mora Classic nr3 and the Eldris are my favorites I got an old classic nr3 with almost 16cm long blade, I love and prefer carbon over stainless even if the blade is getting wet.

Besides the VERY cheesy (but forgivable) introduction that was a great video... Thanks very much buddy. I've spent a good week trying to decide which one to buy and thanks to your great video.... I'm still no closer to deciding hahaha... But to be honest, I'm really liking watching all the videos trying to decide

I had the cheapest one that I found at the junkyard and sold. Got the Craftline Pro C that came with my last Battlbox delivery and it just sits in the collection.

I have the Mora Pro C (marketed as 'Allround' rather than 'Craftline'... perhaps it's a UK thing?) and I love it; it makes short work of just about everything I need (but I also have a Hultafors Outdoor Knife OK4 for the thicker balde and ferrorod striking spine which I use as a bushcraft knife). One day I'll add the Mora Survival to my kit. Thanks for the run-down of their range
