@@sexy1018 well not 4 years ago maybe but in 2019 there was a report that said 80% of ticket sales comprised of MCU tickets alone. Actually 2019 was 3 years ago , so not too far off. Damn 2019 was 3 years ago
Why she would want it, obviously she approved of her first CGI performance it was her voice. I just hope they are honoring her character with rewrites. Like a heroic death, or just passing from old age which gives the resistance something to be inspired from.
NukeDetonator I'm not of this opinion at all...I thought Moana didn't try hard enough...it is such a sloppy movie. That Shiny song...what the hell? Worst Disney film in quite some time. Not a terrible film but...no...it wasn't really that good either. Especially in comparison to the underrated The Princess and the Frog, the last film from the same directing team.
Michael Smith Well what i meant by try to hard is a lot of that stuff felt forced for laughs, or the drama in the movie feeling really forced just so they can develop their characters.
Joshua Price That's why I'm actually excited about Blade Runner sequel. Ryan and Denis had great couple of years, more importantly, they work really well together. Blade Runner 2049 just might be as good as Blade Runner, too early to say, but the expectations are not false. Although it is too hard to get to the perfection Blade Runner is..
I searched for "The Handmaiden Review" on youtube, and this came up, but there seems to be no mention of it here. Is it because someone mentioned it in the comments?? Is it in the tags? Or am I deaf and he did actually mention it...
Shankar Roy me too, especially since the force awakens was his number one or close to it. I don't know if he hasn't watched rogue one a second time but he should. Rogue one was at least as good as Civil war and he should place it around there.
He did find the movie flawed... For me personally, it was my favourite movie going experience this year... For that reason and for the amazing third act of the movie, it is one of my favourite movies this year...
Same could be said to video games only the independent games are actually committed to try something new as oppose to the aaa games like Ubisoft and ea and WB games.
no its not, its all about the money and studios have no shame. heck I cant believe people listen to critics, we all have different tastes in movies. get of your lazy ass and go see it or bootleg it find a stream of movies and see it. if its really good then spend the money. yes ive done it doctor strange needed to be watched on the big screen not on my laptop and shaky cam by the guy who filmed it.
A quick list if you don't have time Honorable Mentions: Hell or High Water Hunt for the Wilderpeople Sing Street Kubo and the Two Strings Fences 10 Cloverfield Lane The actual list: 15. The Witch 14. Swiss Army Man 13. Arrival 12. Paterson 11. Zootopia 10. Manchester by the Sea 9. The Boy and the Beast 8. Captain America: Civil War 7. Hacksaw Ridge 6. Moonlight 5. Deadpool 4. Your Name 3. Silence 2. La La Land 1. The Nice Guys
Hey guys, don't forget to dislike the video if the list isn't exactly your 15 best movies. Because that's logical and is exactly what you should do. Remember to keep seeking out validation for your opinions and you'll always be happy.
There's a very high chance that it will win the most Oscars, so I wouldnt undersell La La Land. It may not make as much money as star wars, but I bet it will be remembered in the years to come.
Because DC fanboys can't really say anything good about their films without being hated by everyone. "N-Not only DC fanboys hated civil war!!" And yet most people are incapable of bringing up any actual complaints other than objectively wrong shit ("no stakes", "no suspense")
Casual Gaming I don't think its "cool", but the more I have though about the plot, which has caused me to like it less. I still think its good and entertaining (and way better than Age of Ultron), but if I could only watch Winter Solider or Civil War, I'd choose Winter Soldier
"The Lobster" Is criminally sleeped on. So disappointed no big RU-vid reviewer Reviewed that film. If you liked " swiss army man" You need to go watch that film.
Ivan Nikolaev Red Letter Media is a youtube channel that reviews and make some movies and short films. Check them out, Stuckmann says he likes them too.
Whatever happened to Neon Demon? You called the film a masterpiece when you first reviewed it and said you wanted to do an analyzed review of it. But you don't even give it an honorable mention here? It's still my favorite movie of the year, and I just was wondering if your opinion of it somehow changed over time.
Frei Train I beg your pardon? Kubo was one of the few films this year that received mass critical acclaim but still tanked in the box office. I'm not a baby for wanting the gem to get proper recognition.
Just bought and watched Your Name solely from this recommendation, despite my hesitation towards anime, and I have to say that I loved it. Thanks Chris, I would have completely passed it over otherwise, and now it sits on my highlight shelf.
Cool list! Here's mine: My top 10 is: 10. Manchester by the Sea 9. Arrival 8. Eddie the Eagle 7. Zootopia 6. Dangal 5. Kubo and the Two Strings 4. La La Land 3. Hell or High Water 2. The Lobster 1. Swiss Army Man
I know what underrated means, its just surprising because to me, it seemed like a really awesome movie.. I'm glad Chris put it as his number one movie, it deserves recognition
I started watching Nice Guys and my hubby and we couldn't finish it. To us it seemed like a teenaged boy wrote the script. In our opinion it was stupid.
NJ223Gaming well, I personally think that there was a hype-factor to the release of the movie, thus why most people said things like " it's even better than avengers 1". If not then on don't really get why this movie is so loved. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good entertainment, and a solid MCU movie, but it's far from beig one of the best movies of the year, really. I really felt like everything interesting in the movie never got to be fully developed, all the good plot elements of this movie are never fully developed, everything seems so....superficial and slow-paced to me (EVEN the action sequences, specially the airport battle ) and some characters are nothing but empty and uninteresting, like bucky, black widow, flacon, etc....IDK why, maybe I'm the only one who got that feeling.... but I can't deny that I love the new spiderman, and black Panther seems promising as a character.

My Top 16: 1) La La Land 2) Manchester by the Sea 3) Moonlight 4) 20th Century Women 5) Silence 6) The Handmaiden 7) Paterson 8) Arrival 9) Everybody Wants Some!! 10) The Lobster 11) The Neon Demon 12) Nocturnal Animals 13) Hunt for the Wilderpeople 14) Elle 15) The Mermaid 16) Love & Friendship
Because it sucked? Boring. Bland Characters. Creepy CG faces. Predictable. Zero Creativity. Fan Service. No Character Development. 99% Exposition. No Charm. Shit. Just overrated fanboy shit with a cool robot and some good action in the last third.
+The_Angry_Raccoon Thanks for your opinions that no one asked for. Really, what did you think you'd get out of stating your opinion on the film? Some idiot to come and agree with you? Just because you have that opinion, doesn't mean we will, or should have the exact same. Seriously, and if you think the film is terrible, I'm not saying you shouldn't have an opinion, but the average score of the film by major film critics (News sites, known film critics, directors, etc.) is 89%, one of the highest out of the movies released in 2016. I don't think most people will agree with your opinion, just saying. I'm not even sure if you saw the film, or the original films, since your arguments sound like they came out from an unknown film critic and you just copy and pasted it. Anyways, we're not fanboys or fangirls. We just enjoy and appreciate great films, unlike you, and we have leaned to enjoy the movie franchise called Star Wars. So calm down.
I bought "the Nice Guys" on blu ray as soon as it was available in stores, I absolutely love it to death, such a shame how it tanked at the box office.
Of course he is not a critic, lol, he does not even pretend to be one. Chris is not a critic either. They are just normal people who watch a lot of movies and then give their explanations why they like something or why not.....
ok now i know why i never watched. so i'm from angola, africa and this movies never came to the theatres over here and my website has not this movies up. bookmarked all the imdb pages tho hehe thanks chris
both of those movies deserve to be on that list....srsly. but no...there are "heartwarmers" and "musicals" that obviously deserved better to be there -.- i dont get it.
i'm not a blind fanboy man! -.- Rogue One was a surprising flick that changed how star wars movies usually are told. it broke records and was LOVED by the audience, even more than Episode 7!
playermartin286 it's a shame that typical movie audiences can't at least recognize when something a little bit different is out there. Adequately promoted, still didn't make $50 million, which I woulda bet money on
Kubo is by far the most beautiful piece of cinema in a while. Not only is it the best animated film since The Lion King, but it is also a modern day Kurosowa film. It is amazing that an American studio could make a truly original Japanese film.
Why so little horror movies? 2016 was a good year for horror, we got films such as - The Conjuring 2 - Hush - Lights Out - Don't Breathe - Ouija: Origin of Evil - Godzilla Resurgence (Shin Godzilla)
It would've been nice to see it get nominations for things like production design or costume design, since it captured the look and fashion of the 70s really well.
10- Swiss Army Man 9- Silence 8- Manchester by the sea 7- Hacksaw Ridge 6- The Nice Guys 5- Sing Street 4- Hell or Highwater 3- Arrival 2- La La Land 1- Nocturnal Animals
Horse Mann wouldn't call it shit. It felt rushed and i didn't like some of the pacing in it, but overall it was decent no where near as good as "Your Name"
Amazing A Silent Voice's characters don't act like real people. Their decisions stink of the fingerprints of the screenwriter. The only good thing was that the voice acting and animation was good. The rest of the movie was shitty teen melodrama.
- Cool movie. - Didn't catch it. - Didn't catch it. - I love it. - Didn't catch it. - I love it. 15. It's more scarier and its more atmosphere than other horror films. 14. Sorry to say it Chris, but "Swiss Army Men" is pretty stupid. I just can't hack this movie and I didn't find this movie too good. It's awkwardly whack with a weirdo sick dude along with a farting Harry Potter. It did not do anything for me. Overrated film. 13. I love it and probably the best sci-fi drama that tells an important message that it could predict their people's intelligence and it was so smart. 12. I heard of it was good so I'll catch it. 11. I love Zootopia and I love how animals react in their own humanity of what people can evolve. Also, furries and very pretty Judy Hopps that girls want to be a sassy bunnies. Too much intention huh? 10. I really love it. 9. Didn't see this, but I will catch it later. 8. Civil War is so so good. It breaks the superhero genre into a whole new level. 7. I love this movie. 6. Very masterpiece and very emotionally. I love it. 5. I love this movie and another Marvel film that can't stop for their own filmmaking. 4. Didn't see this, but I will catch it later. 3. Didn't see this, but I definitely will see it. Fan of Scorsese for me. I hope this one is great. 2. The most original musical experience I had ever seen and it's most beautiful gorgeous looking film that can do anything to make a like dream world. 1. I really like this movie. Not too original, but's its good.
Here's my top best films 2016. Honorable Mentions: - Hardcore Henry (2015) Awesome action film! - Hail Caesar! (2016) Some people hate it, but I really enjoy it. - Nocturnal Animals (2016) Very shocking tale - Hell or High Water (2016) A dark cops and robbers films - Trolls (2016) A cute colorful film - The Conjuring 2 (2016) A much approved true horror story - X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) Again, some hate it, but I actually enjoy it more (FU Max Landis who dispies this movie) Guilty Pleasures Honorable: - The Brothers Grimsby (2016) Hilarious - Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) Much funnier - Sausage Party (2016) It's gross, but the ending is much erotically gross and hilarious. - The Secret Life of Pets (2016) Very cute pets film and Gidget is the only one makes me laugh. - Sing (2016) Not spectacular, but it's very interesting singing film. - The BFG (2016) Yeah, I prefer this Big Fucking Giant than the boring The Jungle Book film. Sue me bitches! - Jason Bourne (2016) No matter what I still enjoy it more. Matt Damon fuck yeah!!! America brings this dude who fuck you up than Ethan Hunt. Matt Damon fuck yeah!!! and here we go my own top 15 best films of 2016: 15. The VVitch (2015) (Basically it's from 2015 so what the heck) 14. Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016) 13. Moana (2016) 12. futurefilmmaker 39480 sure, if you like bad editing, bad pacing, questionable directing, no character depth, bad writing and incoherence, then yes! BvS is for you
1) Hacksaw ridge 2) Nice guys 3)Mancester by the sea 4) Swiss army man 5) la la land 6) hell or high 7) deadpool 8)eddie the eagel 9)nocturnal animals 10)zootopia
Nice Guys finish last that's why I treat you like trash that's not what I really want to do. oooooh but you only date bad guys that's why I give you my last try to treat you the way you want me to.
ygsr Sorry but you're going to have to wait for a dvd release most likely as I saw it twice in cinemas and will be getting the dvd release. Idk if it is going to be released digitally or not.
"Overrated" has been voted as the dumbest most overused word on the internet. Mostly because it diminishes the very idea of an opinion and reduces people to thinking themselves as superior to those who loved the movie and be little those who do love it. On top of that the whole "People are finally coming to the realization that this movie is overrated sucked and my opinion is best Bullshit" just makes you look like a delusional idiot that's so desperate to make his opinion seem valid you make up lies that more people are realizing it. On top of that just calling the movie that critics and audiences praised and simply saying that it is overrated no matter how many people gave it good ratings, as if one guys minority opinion even makes any difference.
Randomly was recommended this video. You really can’t make a best movies of 2016 list without having seen what Hindi cinema did that year. Dangal, Neerja, Pink, Udta Punjab were all absolutely stellar movies that are easily among, if not the, best movies that year.
jack mihoff definitely not right. Maybe he meant to say "best movie musical"... but I don't even think that'd be true. It is an amazing movie, however, but not because it's a musical.
lol i feel ya. But honestly Hamilton is the best musical ever made.... right after Les Mis and Phantom. Those two are masterpieces that have stood over decades and will continue doing so.
my top 10: 1. Moonlight (No other movie even comes close. Also I disagree with Chris about its re-watchability, like yes its a tough watch but there's so much in it it makes you keep coming back for more) 2. Kubo and the two Stings (Masterful creative storytelling, good performances. By far best animated movie of the year( 3. Star Trek: Beyond (Idk why I loved this movie so much. Best star trek in my opinion) 4. La La Land 5. Fantastic Beasts 6. Arrival 7. Mascots 8. Nice Guys 9. The Duelist (Russian movie that I saw at TIFF) 10. Fences (would've been higher if it wasn't just a play on screen. Still had some of the best performances of the year)
