Thank you for nearly 800 likes on this review already! You guys are awesome. In return I finally got to creating the first bit of USAirsoft merch and I have more on the way! Pick up the new shirt and expect the next one to be a little speedsofty teespring.com/shop/bout-to-run-up-on-em?aid=marketplace&tsmac=marketplace&tsmic=search&pid=2&cid=581&sid=front
@@bigrig8539 BOLT MP5 has strong recoil, steel upper reciever and it very realistic. I have one and it doesnt suck, just put a mosfet, shim the gears and go to the field.
It’s gonna break faster either way. The recoil puts a lot of stress on the gearbox. That’s why I avoid many ebb guns. But if you like them it’s your choice
Not surprised that the rps is low with a Titan battery... The gun is probably pulling 20 amps or more and Titan batteries are lucky to output 15-20 amps
Love how you say "I love the build quality of this VFC MP5" and then proceed to point out exactly why the build quality of it is very mediocre. Maybe in comparison to other MP5s out there it's pretty good but thanks to this review I know better than buying this one.
Having been playing for a couple years now i can confidently say that if you want maximum performance from your hopup, its .30 or bust. .30s take a bit more force to sling that pellet but once you dial it in the consistency of your shot to shot placement isnt even a competition (when outdoors) with anything less than a .28.
Seems to be partly the downgraded motor in the gen 2 avalon gearboxes as well as horrible factory shimming. Really disappointing to see. Gen 1 avalons were so snappy and crisp sounding.
Great gun except I had to put tape around my mags to make them not wobble and you should immediately put a high torque motor because the speed motor they have put in it heats up really fast and makes it WAAAY hot
Do you think you'll get a big leap in motor longevity if you use a weaker spring? 350 is the fps limit at the indoor fields I go to so I figure with a lower tension spring the motor won't get as hot but idk.
Debating buying one of these. I'm not crazy about the platform because it would be strictly a collection piece. I have no use for a CQB gun with subpar range and limited options for external accessories. But I feel like every serious collection needs one just because its so iconic. If they were under $300 I would already own one but its hard to justify spending $350 + the cost of magazines and extras only to shoot targets a handful of times a year. Like all of the non M4s in my collection.
Awesome review as always man! Also a fellow MP5 lover. It’s hands down my favorite SMG period. Also One thing you didn’t mention- If you take off the stock assembly, you also have access to the rear of the Gearbox via removing a small cover with a screwdriver, and then bam! You have access to your spring guide, so true quick change access! I had some experience with the old ones when they had burst fire option (when it was ACTUALLY an A4 lmao, this one is an A2), and it was freaking nice. I’m glad to see these back. I have an ICS MP5SD, but sadly the receiver is plastic. It makes me sad. We for sure need the SD series to be AEGs. I’d like to see the mp5k with VFC’s quality as well! Also makes me sad that I can’t get easy access to the WE tech Apache series of gbbr, cause that thing is freaking beautiful. It’s MADE for HK slaps. I’d even like the VFC gbbr to make it to the states if they massively improved it. It’d be nice to also have access to the Bolt and LCT MP5 series, but, one step at a time 😂
Love my mp5 found it on sale at my local shop for $280, have had it for a few months now and have used it in multiple fields and events. I have never had an issue with it. I use .28 bio and it gets .98 joules with barely any variation. Shoots like a laser beam and has good fire rate. Only gripe I have is the trigger in semi auto isn't the best, nothing bad, but being under a joule no one complains with me using full auto. One thing to note I don't play indoor like ever and outdoor this thing keeps up with all the krytacs my group has.
If it is a VFC then the Airsoft Toy only has a mosfet and no micro switch, leading to the lackluster trigger Response. However, sounds like a good deal.
I have the VFC full stock SD version and love it. Even if my charging handle went AWOL across my room on the 3rd slap I ever gave it. To be fair I got it used and it looked flawless besides a small crack already formed in the handle. Oops.
I can confirm that Vfc made mp5 bodies will not accept real swaps. Unlike the LCT g3. tolerances for mp5 parts from other companies (tm,CA,G&G,Echo1, etc) are crap shoots. some pieces fit, most dont. super interested in this one after still owning 2 older VFC mp5 3 round burst models. top quality. Hope the outer barrels however do not snap off like on the older vfc mp5.
Have you had a chance to use it yet? I'm thinking about buying one but I wanted to see what others have to say about it before I "pull the trigger" lol
Good review. Personally I like the G&G top tech one. It’s got programming to switch it to 3rb. Build quality is great. Steal parts. Only negative is no trades.
Ja Crispy owned one for a year and a half now, if you get a brick type battery, she’s a dream. For the upgradey type, a better motor would up the abysmal fire rate on automatic. Great beginner gun, though!
WungoMungo Thanks! I have an ARP 9 and a Jag Arms scattergun and I play airsoft constantly. My friend wants to join me since he had fun with the rental. He loves mp5s so I just wanted to see if what he was thinking was good.
Fpr once you dont need some some kind of hook to adjust your hopup. Dont get me wrong becayse the cyma highbspeed is a good gun but i would prefer an elongated slider for easier adjustments.
My 2nd gun is *probably* gonna be an MP5...but the RoF issue is something I'm experiencing with the UMP 45 from Elite Force too whenever I get to use full-auto...and plus it, for WHATEVER reason, seemingly kills a full battery, but when I go back to semi, it almost works just fine. Idk what kinda issue it is I'm dealing with.
I own the very cheap option and the only worries I have is the durability of the plastic body and the the gun not being able to fire semi auto that fast, definitely my favorite gun but can just have a bit of tinkering and you probably have a good primary
That's it? hell I spent 350ish building a EF comp model mp5 to around 35ish rps and amazing trigger response, +/- 1 fps and that's including the 150 for the gun.... Like I get the externals are nice on the vfc mp5 but the performance this one seems to have is kinda inexcusable, id have to pick a krytac pdw over this, its cheaper, still has quality externals and beats this thing in performance, and I freaking hateeeeee krytacs.
Connor K. i have it, its pretty great but the rate of fire is eh and the motor heats up quickly but runs great and has amazing range. I recommend getting cyma mid caps 🤙🏼
@@USAirsoft thank you for the info this is gonna be the best primary for my kit ever! My Work in progress kit is a VFC mp5 with adjustable stock a cyma m870 and a CZ75 shadow along with a elite force M9a3 tan with an extended co2 mag and tracer unit
