Krytac Kriss Vector AEG Airsoft Review - Is it better than your Krytac?

Well, I bought a krytac vector on 6/23 of this year.. picked it up from high ground in Houston. I like it. Found myself walking around the house clearing every room as I went back and forth for what I needed.. works great. If you switch back and forth between fire modes very fast, I found that it will stop firing. The battery compartment is way too small.. and if you switch over left handed, you can easily hit the mag release button which will drop a mag on you bare foot while clearing your wife and daughters rooms. Lol

Owned one since day 1. Best airsoft purchase I've made so far. It wrecks indoor events where -if you zero your red dot perfectly- you can just snipe anything that sticks out behind cover with extreme accuracy. Outdoor is pretty much the same thing although I'm using it as a secondary to my sniper. I don't get the hate for the trigger. It's super snappy and electronic. Much better than most beefed up M4's I've tried tbh

I got this gun back in 2018 and opted to keep it stock since it's primarily a CQB gun for me. This thing is pretty accurate out of the box and never let me down! The safety acting as a spring de-tensioner is one of my favorite features - I no longer come home and doubt myself with regards to if I did a full trigger pull to remove tension. It's an excellent gun, but some of the criticisms are valid. At the end of the day you're essentially buying a skin. Pros: Small, perfect for CQB Full Ambidextrous Accurate out of the box Safety features (I wish these would be standard) Trigger is okay Hopup is superb Cons: It's a little heavy-ish Normally I mod my guns quickly but not this. Internals are scary so I'll wait til something breaks. Mine also didn't come with metal flash hider (This is w/e) The last time I was at the field someone actually shot a piece of the front off... granted this was after YEARS of use so idk if they were just shooting way hot or what... Mags can be pretty pricey!

I really really like my vector. Fantastic performance, small form factor, and once you get use to the controls the ergonomics are just as good or better than an AR

I love the style of the gun but dat price point is going to tear a sinkhole in my wallet...RIP To all my Californian Amigos who have to pay the “10% Airsoft tax”

Having very recently held one of these, i could say these things: (from a aesthetic point of view, didn't get to shot it) Pros: Very good build quality Good handling (thought that might just be me) The Trademarks Cons: The selector switches (thought thats something you can get use to) Battery space Big Magazine that can be hard to find pouches for Slightly awkward magazine release if you have small hands Consensus: if someone said here 500 dollars go buy an Airsoft gun, I would honestly buy the ASG Scorpion Evo, because it has more features, smaller dimensions magazines and a much better battery compartment.

Speaking of the BO2 thing, Evike has a two-tone version coming soon. A picture of it is on the website when you go to look at Krytac AEGs. As far as my thoughts on the gun itself goes... as much as I want it, and how much I like the Vector, it's kind of expensive when I can get a Scorpion Evo with empty mag detection for almost $100 cheaper. And in my opinion it's more ergonomically friendly compared to the vector. Also $25 a mag is pricey too when you get a full load out. But at the end of the day, it's a gun that does its job, it's built solid as hell, it certainly pars well as a Vector replica, honestly you couldn't really go wrong here. Just a simple fact that it's pricey compared to its other smg competitors.

I recently picked one up and when I first picked it up out of the box it felt super super solid. No vibration throughout any of the gun besides when the mag is inserted. But with one piece of duct tape around the top portion of the mag, that was solved easily. When I hold the gun in my hands and shake it, I don’t feel or hear anything wobbling. I really have no complaints other than the battery space but like you said, it can’t really be avoided so it’s not a big problem. I have yet to use this in game however when test firing it at home, the accuracy and consistency proved the gun to be indoor and outdoor worthy. The 2 round burst function is very consistent in the fps/range/accuracy. Overall I think the price point for the gun is exactly where it should be. Not a penny more and not a penny less. You will NOT be disappointed with this aeg.

I love my vector, also love it even more that I won it in an Evike giveaway so it was FREEEEE Interesting things to add, I have smaller 11.1v batteries that AirsoftGI suggested for it and they fit great, but on an 11.1v, which it runs fine and krytac says it can handle, the 2 round burst turns into 3, its shot 1 joule with .25s on the dot every time I have chrono'd since December. And my mags tend to jam with anything heavier than .25s, and it shoots super fast with the 11.1s

i have one,and i love it !!! hitting players up to 60m with it,all day long no problems!!! with 2 × 7.4 lipos i play a hole day,using around 2000 bbs i have 8 mags vor it,and yes they are expensive,but work flawless thanks vor the nice vids bro,keep up the good work!!!

Ever since the first time I played bo2 this was my favorite gun. I think it looks awesome and I am a person that likes the highest fire rate possible. Of course that just in the game but to me this gun is one of the coolest I have seen.

I like how now companies are making more unique guns it's pretty cool. Now if only they makes more unique gbb pistols than the hi capa and glocks. Need more variety.

Hi, I really wanted to thank you for the field recommendation you gave me, not only because I had a great time but I saved a ton of money buying some gear there. I’ll be getting my first gun soon and I hope I see you at a field one day, and keep up the great content!

I took a different path in the airsoft world, me and my crew started with gas blowback, and its been great for years. We love the training they provide, and it's always nice to put down the speed softers. That being said, this thing is freakin appealing. And probably the only AEG I could ever condone someone having besides an lmg of some sort. Proprietary and expensive? *Laughs in realism*.

I think it looks great, I love that it has a two round burst rather than 3, but I hate the mag release position.

I'm buying one soon, and I'm excited.

Agree with the comment about paying for a licensed product. In the country I'm living in, the vector costs around €550, i instead purchased an ASG Evo on a deal with a battery, a pack of 3 mid caps, and official bag all for €440.

Just bought this at airsoftcon, got it a little over $100 off, I do not regret it at all, it was hitting targets exactly where I was aiming, and felt like a beast

I recently bought the vector. My box didn't come with a black flash hider. I've shot it in my back yard and I will be playing with it the first time on July 4th at Ballahack in Chesapeake VA. Not having played with it, the two MAJOR things about this gun is battery space and magazines.

If you think that you have it bad with Krytac being an “elitist” brand, try being in England with Tokyo Marui being extremely popular, but for good reason

Can almost afford the gas blowback for that price and that’s a discontinued collectors gun, or buy an evo with twice the features a much better functionality

I would love to own a vector. I friend of mine has the gas blowback vector and it is AMZING. Everything from the trigger pull to the little kick from it is amazing.

Own one of the few KWA KRISS Vector GBBs. Bought it when it was still being produced, for about 250 USD...sooo, i'm quite happy now :P.

I like the Kriss Not because of it being popular but it being one of the most tactical full auto guns you can get and it can be used with pistol ammo, And the look of it is HOT. and sure it has disadvantages that I can accept but I will still like it.

I love the vector Airsoft and the real one I’ve gotten to shoot both but I agree with a guy who said he’d rather buy a Evo for the money same for me weather it was real steel or Airsoft I would still rather buy the Evo

I mean I could always get the Tar21 which runs fantastic, has a field inner barrel in a CQB body, takes M4 mags, and easy upgrade/spring change for CQB to field all for under $200.

Well, the price did not surprise me a lot since the anouncement since it was the price of an airsoft gun that almost does not require any inner modding, I purchased it, still haven't any regrets about it and... well, money are given to be spent lol. The only problem I face with this one is that magazines jam a lot when it is used outdoors, I have to clean them much more frequently than I used to with mp5... Also, it is kinda cool to be a vector guy among the vector guys having the fully functional integrated flashlight like in gen 1 vector thanks to the 3d printing magic :D

Not wrong about the quick change spring system, but it's not really quick since you still need to break down the gun, remove the mech box to access the sorting, you just don't need to take apart the box

These are really great. Used it on all day airsoft skirmishes in a field near me. I was lucky enough to snag one of these for $300, brand new on of ebay! I wouldn't buy it for $450 though and the mags cost so much money. Having 5 mags for this gun costed me almost 100$

You can fit an 11.1v battery in the grip. It obviously has to be tri-cell, in order to achieve 11.1v. The 1100maH nunchuck style batteries fit. It is tight, but you can squish them in there. Fully agree though that its not ideal and could be better. As for the proprietary parts. The gearbox is almost fully v2 compatible save for some parts for the angled piston/cylinder. It was an expensive gun, no doubt, but for me, it has been amazingly worth it. Yeah, you can find an M4 that does the same things for cheaper... but I didn't want an M4, I wanted a Vector. Well, I wanted a space gun, and the Vector is perfect for that: i.imgur.com/G8JBt1z.jpg One big complaint I have is the mag release. The real Vector is compatible with Glock magazines, but the airsoft version is obviously not, so I think they should have taken some creative liberty and made the mag release lower to make it easier to one-hand remove the magazine.

I think it was a combination of factors that made this gun feel lackluster to a lot of people. First no one likes proprietary guns anymore because you can always make a gun better aftermarket. Secondly this gun had a long development cycle with delays, no one likes that. Third, airsoft companies have a lot of competition these days and comparisons will happen, so in a world where the scorpion evo exists and costs less that the vector and performs better you have to wonder what they were thinking. Also there are now 2 knockoff vectors with better gearbox designs that allow for better battery storage, and knowing there battery storage design sucks they still haven't made a grip extension to hold bigger batteries! If you have a practical mind why would you ever pay more for a gun that you can't upgrade and doesn't perform as well as a direct competitor that costs less. Paying for trademarks is the single silliest thing in airsoft, could you imagine would would happen if no more airsoft companies did trademarks and just made the guns look like the real ones, then keep the prices the same and put the trademark money into actual out of the box upgrades. Airsoft as a hobby/sport would benefit.

bought this more than 1 year ago has my first airsoft gun, still love it, recently I purchased my first accesory which is a red dot sight, because I suck with iron sights, even on games, only problem: more than 200 days of quarentine are keeping away from using it more :/

Hah this gun cost 579€ ((640$)) in germany 😂😂 and you must choose between a 0,5J aeg and a 1,1J saeg ... i hate my life 😂

I could see this being ok to have if you play at a lot of different fields and do both indoor cqb and outdoor medium to long range fighting since it seems to shoot a pretty far distance for it's size, but for someone like me who already owns a Krytac SPR I would be better off buying a PDW upper and just swaping the uppers or even the spring if I need to decrease the fps for cqb. The m4's are just a better build than this, more battery space, more magazine options, and easier to work on.

I bought one of these and it was horrible. it sounded like a ti-fighter shooting if it was a longer sound effect and much less cool. the performance was also not up to speck. the fire rate was super low. the trigger felt extremely stiff which meant I could fire it that quickly. Idk if I got a lemon but, according to my local tech,. I didn't and that's how they all sound and shoot. I hope this helps you if you are planning on buying this gun.

I'd recommend you just get the ARP9 for less than half the price and better performance.

You know what’s hilarious? Out ranging krytacs with a TM MK23 that’s been blessed by the anime gods.

I love the Vector, and maybe it is just paying for a cheap imitation, but I would still get one. If they ever make a gbb or ebb version, with the v break, I'd cut a blank cheque almost.
