40 years ago Mescaline, mushrooms & blotter acid were a weekly, if not daily regiment. To hear the medical professionals talk about their "controlled " therapies ... uhg... I can't imagine being stuck in a room for hours with another person whose not high ... and hovering over me... just seems like they are completely missing the whole point of the psychedelic experience. My experience... being surrounded by good friends sharing the same trip WAS therapy in itself. Plus... 40 years later my crowd is still alive and thriving. However, if its working for people YAYYY!!
I just went on your site and ordered $120 worth of stuff. I am looking forward to trying the gummies. Keep up the QUALITY products bro, you are saving lives, instead of saving money. 🙏❤️🙏
If you enjoy the journey. You can make your own bags, jars, tubs, logs on your own. It's actually easy. You can take spores or a tissue sample & have a never ending supply. You can take tissue from fresh store bought & just regrow it forever.
@@wamlartmuse I've actually been extremely curious about sustainable growing with them, what would be the easiest way to do so from a fruiting block? I'm willing to get a pressure cooker but it'll have to be a later kind of thing sadly
Mexico has decriminalized possession of most recreational drugs. They are still working out details about how to regulate them but they are all pretty much legal to possess at least on the federal level. The states in Mexico have more actual regulatory power than the federal government in Mexico so it may also depend on what state in Mexico you are in.
Nice video. Just started growing Lion's Mane. The interview with Justin Townsend was cool. I've been looking for a guided trip that is more therapeutic than spiritual just because I'm not spiritual. Of course on SS, it might take some time to get the cash :o) Wonder if they do Workaway ? :o)
I made a nice lions mane recipe. Well a half recipe. It's lions mane battered with coconut flour & fried in coconut oil. It can be a sweet or savory snack or meal. 🍄💜
27:12 it's not just some mushroom growing on cowpoo it's a sentient being that's ancient and far more intelligent and wise then us humans. Ever noticed how the mycelium has the same structure as our brains? T Mckenna even had conversations with 'The Mushroom' . Never judge a book by its cover , same thing with plants and crystals, it's not because things can't talk etc. that they're not conscious
So why put oil on them in the beginning? After all the oil soaked mushroom would prevent them from soaking up the water soluble marinade, oil and water doesn’t mix. Is there a reason for first soaking them in oil rather than the marinade itself?
Considering you cultivate I was surprised you didn't use fresh mushrooms! Is it because you're way from home? I am a big fan of our local Asian market, but I will say that unfortunately their mushrooms, while cheap, are subpar. The shiitakes that are fresh are only $7 per lb but smell like spoiled red wine for some reason, and their dried mushrooms also have a weird taste.
19:37 laws in Brazil are ambiguous, the possession of psilocybin is prohibited, however, other laws say that they should specify if something is illegal, like weed, both the plant and its extracts are prohibited, but in the case of mushrooms only the pure substance is illegal, the laws have nothing against magic mushrooms, therefore people use mushrooms, it's not that much people, but it's a growing trend. People say it didn't get criminalized here both because of the pressure from indigenous communities and as such as farmers cuz honestly cubensis just grow in any camp that has cows, so it didnt have a point prohibiting something that grows naturally everywhere
1min 30sec in & my bet is on chicken of the woods. But my favorite mushroom jerky is turkey tail. There is no prep, just pick & eat. But since neither is in this video.. my guess is shitake for flavor & lions mane for texture.
Really enjoy the show. I would love to set-up a retreat center here in Thailand. Not many of my friends are psychotherapists or psychologists though :) Maybe I'll make up a batch of 'special' jerky and see how it tastes ;) Chocolates and gummies are too much work. LMFAO
Wanted to see what we could find at the grocery store! Hopefully that will help more people find these types of mushrooms, who can't grow them for whatever reason. Lion's Mane is definitely not typical to find at the store-
We didn't need therapists or dr's around when we grew up we just had logical rules when we went out and picked. We just had a lot of safe fun. These guys are all just $ hungry.
Thank you! Just looked on Amazon, Lion Main kit about $30... But cool temp requirement, ugh... Below 70F ummm... Still working angles on doing, again thanks for the informative vid!
... 3 to 5g to get a feel.. ah, I see. They're grown on straw logs.. 🤭. Time to upgrade guys. Hope you have manure in those logs. You can pasteurize the straw & poo together. I'd do 50/50 💪🍄. 🍄💜
@Savvy Bytes yeah I have no clue, they could. Manure is for extra nutrition. Also, they may do just straw because of vegans, which is understandable. But if they do it with just grains, they would still get the potency, possibly more than poo. It really comes down to how many grams you want to eat. I prefer all grain. Mine are always very potent.
@@wamlartmuse Very interesting! Grain straw poo… Why would you want to pasteurize? It is microbes that break down nutrients for plant absorption… But maybe mushrooms do that also :) What grain do you use? I think this vegan manure thing is a bridge too far… I mean worms poop… Does that mean you should stop eating vegetables?
@Savvy Bytes lol. They pasteurize to kill or stun harmful bacteria & fungus. It helps the mycelium of the mushroom you want to grow get a running head start. Fungus & the micro biome does break it down but if there is too much contamination the good stuff might not survive or can become contaminated itself. Which may not be good for consumers. Pretty much if you don't pasteurize or sterilize properly, you will have a big block of green instead of healthy mushroom mycelium. Or have a nasty bacterial growth that you can't see.
@Savvy Bytes I use every grain I can get my hands on except buckwheat or pearl barley. They're to fragile & mush up too easy. I use whole grain & sometimes malted grain. Any grain works but I mix multiple grains together after cooking them separate. I try to use at least 4 different types each time but more if I have time lol. My theory is.. first, more nutrients, different grains have different levels of vitamins, minerals & whatever else mushrooms eat lol. Also supposedly if you get a strain you work on to grow off of only one nutrients for too long, they will have issues growing off of other nutrients.
I had an idea these retreats were costly but what the actual hell?! 20k for what amounts to a glorified therapy session. It’s quickly becoming clear to me that these medical professionals are just trying to pay off their student loans or are actual grifters
Just get some friends together and retreat to the woods or somebodys house where everybody is comfortable and boil some up and have a good time.Rule 1.Nobody leaves alone. It's nice to have that one outgoing person in the group that is good at talking anybody down if there having a bad trip.Very important. My wife had that job and was very good at it.We used to have big Shroom parties.Great times.
Can a bot reply to this comment? Ask me if I want to hit person blabla up on whatever because he sells emoji`s. I feel lonely without my bot friends...
I know it seems weird, but it seems to work better. The texture does change during the first dehydration, and I think the main reason is because the dried mushrooms soak up all the marinade getting the flavour throughout, whereas fresh mushrooms would probably not soak up as much marinade.
