Couple things to ask, how do you compare the cue point generation default to mixed in key, finding the metadata how reliable do you find it, and do you feel it’s worth it? I run my own synology server, can it be configured to back up to there and cloud at the same time? Also do they run a mobile app that allows playback of the Serato lists as they are backed up
Another comment from a reddit user echoing my sentiments: "I really want to give this software a try, and if I could just pay once for a license (even if it were pretty expensive), I'd do it in a heartbeat. But you can't really expect users to take on yet another monthly subscription fee just to organize their music. Not to mention the monthly fee itself is absolutely insane. €35/month?! You want me to pay more for a playlist manager than I currently pay for: Netflix Hulu SoundCloud Rekordbox Professional HBO GO Etc etc etc Like, how do you expect to charge more for this rekordbox utility than Rekordbox professional costs in the first place? Totally unrealistic and I can't imagine this software will ever take off at these prices. It sucks, because I really want to give you a bunch of my money for this awesome looking software. But €35/month is simply not acceptable for this tool."
I think I'd be down to sign up for Lexicon but not as a monthly subscription. I'd use it to do an audit / update to my library and all meta data, then once completed stop the service until my next audit. It's a nice solution for those of us who's libraries have grown over years and become to big to manage all the meta at one time. Basically it'll help level set our library. I like the concept.
So iv got the demo first just to see how it works. However after importing my serato library iv gone into ( for example) my UK top 40 may folder and it displays no tracks. And there is definitely tracks in there. Do you or anyone have any ideas what it may be? I do want to get the full version but if some of my folders are showing up empty on Lexicon and I sync it back to serato and it then makes my folders empty I'm ganna be pissed lol. And yes I do have back ups but that's not the point lol. Any help anyone 😎👍🏾
Has anybody has issue with Lexicon outputting / syncing with Engine DJ. I have done a lot of work in Lexicon and when I sync to Engine DJ it does not pick up the changes.
I see nobody here is talking about THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. Using a subscription is bad enough, but the monthly fee is OUTRAGEOUS! Only Superstar DJs will be able to afford it. C'mon guys... be reasonable. I came to buy an app, not THE COMPANY... LOL
From my understanding you can re activate it at any time. So one month get all the stuff you need done to make use of it, then take it off until you need it again
Just saw this video would you still recommend this I an a open format DJ and need to organizes almost 2 TB of music a lot of dupes I bet, I have also seen crate hackers but not sure what to think
I went with the Pro version for unlimited cloud storage. That and the ability to export my library across the major DJ platforms makes Lexicon one of , if not the, best music library managers out there.
Another great video as usual! I was wondering if you got to use Phase yet and your thought. I use them with my SL -1200’s and find it’s doesn’t hold bpm as well. It’s alway fluctuating and supper annoying because I’m a mix dj that love to blend. Most Dj’s that reviewed phase are scratch Dj’s. Idk
Yoooo, this is has the potential of becoming a massive tool. This is really going to be something super helpful. I've saw similar software products but non like this. That Find The Year is sweet!!
@@DJCEE_B How do you find this tool to work on tracks that are simple 'redrums' but not a full on remix. I noticed most of these redrums will have the published date, and not get recognized by the original track release date. i.e. M.J. Billie Jean with a redrum update.
@@DJCEE_B switching from serato to rekordbox. Will it transfer to rekordbox easily as when I open it all the playlist will show up? Rekordbuddy is to time consuming. I currently have no playlist (crates) and my cues will they transfer
@@DJCEE_B Hi Im new to Lexicon and switching over from Serato to Rekordbox, and want to keep my cue points. For some reason this isnt working as smoothly as I thought. Once I try to sync my Lexicon playlists from Serato to Rekordbox, nothing is moving over. It only says "save rekordbox XML". Any advice?
@@vonniemack6118 for Rekordbox the xml does not exist by default. You will need to export your library as xml and move it into the correct location found under settings.
I’m rebuilding a very large library and I will not be pulling from DJ software. Is it possible to do all this directly from the file structure? I will have all music files in one folder.
I'm having a problem I'm trying to buy a subscription but every time I pick the subscription I want it takes me to the part of the download Lexicon which I already download it can you help me out please
I want to ask you a question because I'm new to this and just starting up. Do you bring all your music into the dj software or you just create playlist and drop them in the software. I'm just looking for some ideas.
Awesome video ! My one question is can I get meta data without renaming my files. For example in my library I have multiple versions of tracks clean dirty intro edits for example. Will it get file names without removing clean, dirty or intro from the file name ?
Mixed in Key has great key detection but Lexicon is 100% focused on library management with great tools so you can save a lot of time. There is some overlap between Lexicon and MIK but they are quite different tools really.
@@DJCEE_B didn’t go well for me. I subscribed but canceled. 1 out of every 10 songs I were correct. What I mean is what I played in the play head didn’t match what the track was labeled as. Luckily I didn’t re-sync it. It might have really messed me up. I noticed because I was trying the cue generator. I’ve very diligent with labeling cues. So I was trying to find songs that didn’t have cues. That’s how I noticed what i was loading didn’t match what was playing
