I loved the pre-rotation version with Rotom Phones and Guru to preserve resources or build your hand for the combos you needed. I think it was highly underrated. This version looks super sick with a nice 2nd attacker to add more dimension and looks to have nearly the same consistency from what I know the Zoro of old had. Awesome job with this list and showcase. Its been fun to watch you play it on stream the past few days too

I love this deck! However, my variant is a bit different: I use Cemetery instead of Gapejaw Bog. No more swearing when we have to put pokemon in play before the Gapejaw Bog is there and additionally, it helps boost Dodrio damage when required. For early game, Gengar and Damage Pump are usually enough to carry. Especially when you get Dodrio going fast. I feel like we alwayts get Gapejaw when it's too late while Cemetery is always good, especially at the end to boost Dodrio

It’s a nice idea but you really don’t want to be attaching energy to a lot of the supporting Pokémon. Especially when the decks runs 4 jet energy so you’d essentially be putting your Pokémon in active spot just to get damages counter on

Ahh no you don't attach to supporting Pokemon, you just use Damage Pump. And actually, the only support Pokemon I have are Gengar, Dodrio and Squwak . So Dodrio it s fine to attach, Gengar we don't even need and Squwak we can just use one damage pump. And actually I also play Thornton si Squeak often become a Dodrio or a Zoroark. No Bibarel and other aupporting Pokemon so it's not too bad the Cemetery

Oh and I also play regular psy energy so I can retrieve them with a rod if needed

I am thinking about trying to build a similar deck except rather than zoroark I was going to use the new Raticate from 151 and make it a single prize deck When spamming stadiums like gape jaw, bog, calamitous snowy mountain and old cemetery, radiant Alakazam and radicate can do a lot of damage and the dodrio is still a really good draw engine and alternate attacker and alternate attackers are definitely more important in single price decks

Honestly bro after watching this I’m kinda ready to pick up some Zoroarks. Zoro is one of my favorite Pokémon anyway, and when Jirachi comes out this deck is legitimately gonna get a lot better. :)

Hey man, I absolutely LOVE this deck, it feels like what I've always wanted, however, my local game store climate is full of 310+ hp beasts, and sometimes I get stuck a few damage short of the win because of DTE, is there a way to modify this deck to remove/reduce/replace the DTEs and still have it flow well? as of right now I mostly just use the DCEs for retreating, do you have any suggestions to help improve my matchups in my local meta? Thanks!

Now we just need a normal stadium that increases damage from normal Pokémon by 20 or 10. Or a stadium that prevents damage counters placed on normal Pokémon by attacks from non rule box Pokémon

Sadly this deck has too many issues to really make it a contender. Damaging your own pokemon has the problem of making them easier to pick off and makes the deck super vulnerable to Lost Box. The other issue is that the deck is so linear that your opponent can see it coming a mile away, so they can very easily trip you up and make it impossible for you to win. Fun deck for casual, but it’s not great.
