They are gorgeous! I think they are very usable to especially in a foray/chain crit set. As a side note really appreciate your blurring out of the rest of the tree it's the little things like this that make you guys absolute top tier entertainers.
The hbg is actually REALLY good for cluster ammo because it shoots in a straight line like every other ammo and not into the sky And it has all 3 levels Only the felyne cannon and i think the rhenoplos one have that So this one can be used for cluster builds
@@lronjack right now for these dual blades im using Malzeno Helm - Wirebug Whisperer and Speed Sharpen decos Final Boss Chest - Prot Polish and Crit Boost decos Espinas Gloves - Crit Boost deco Final Boss Waist - Crit Boost deco Espinas Legs - Evade Extender 4 slot deco (or whatever your comfortable with in a 4 slot) and Speed sharpen Deco Talisman is the weirdest part as i got a Blast Attack 2 with a 2 and 1 slot that lets me get Blast attack 3 on that alone. Weapon uses the Teostra Soul Rampage deco for that double blast Damage And if they ever add a Foray decoration thats a 3 slot or less you can replace the Prot Polish jewel in the chest as the weapon already has good sharpness and you can use Ironshine Silk to maintain sharpness mid fight
I love the dual status/ element weapons. My favorite build for Dual Wield revolves around the "Fire & Ice" Dual Blades from the Teostra tree. The only thing it's missing rn beause I'm to lazy to farm mats for decos is Marathon Runner. Also, I haven't seen any Charms with Marathon Runner yet so I'm assuming it just doesn't exist... Which is fine because I still haven't had to switch my charm since my first one because my first Level 7 Charm was a... Lvl. 2 Evade Extender/ Lvl. 1 Master Mounter with a Lvl. 3 and Lvl.1 deco slot. It's literally perfect for the only two weapons I actually use (Gunlance and Dual Wield).
I knew as soon as I saw the dual blades with DUAL STATUS that there would be so many people with a burning desire to make a dual status build. I am one of them. And not only are they blast and poison but they look amazing.
The dignified set goes with them pretty well I'd say (same outfit Rondine wears). The colors aren't _quite_ right, but I was able to dye them to fit it perfectly, and the highlights even have a metal sheen to go perfectly with the brass parts of the weapons
3:45 So fun fact, the "Anti-Aerial" Rampage Deco (still a level 2 deco) works on most of the Elder Dragons, since they can all fly. There's only 1 elder in Sunbreak I can think of off the top of my head that it specifically doesn't work for, which that kinda makes sense.
I was gonna say this. Lol is the only one elder you mentioned final boss? I haven’t tried but its arms are kinda like it’s wings aren’t they? It might work?
Considering they already did layered weapons back in Rise with the Rampage; I think it would be reasonable if they brought it back for the rest so that you can change aesthetics, we got several title updates coming out over the rest of the year so just chin up and keep an ear out. First one is in august.
At the very least, for Lance, you won't be missing out without decos. If you care about meta, the mta lance also has no decos. So you can just swap this lance in for it without having to rework the meta sets. Also, since I like the meta lance's design, I've been using it for comfort sets, and the lack of deco slots isn't bad at all. Might be charm dependant, but idk. I have a Crit Eye +2, Guard +1, with a level 2 deco.
yeah we might need to wait for 2 to 3 DLCs to unlock decos lv 4 for WE, CB, AB and CE from anomaly quest lv 5 and higher so the lv 4 slots in armor can be used effectively and we may less dependant on weapon slots.
@@rhuntern that's fair, but I also won't use the current meta because it lacks slots. I'll take a slight decrease in dps if it gives me the extra slots for the couple of comfort skills I require to enjoy playing the game
If your on pc you can get a mod for it, it's what I do and you don't get banned or anything and in the mod you still need materials to craft it so it doesn't feel like cheating either, I see it more of as a feature that should have been in the game. if your on console then oof.
Antique Machina HBG is the best explosives Bowgun in the game right now, it has 3 clip Sticky 3 with low recoil and fast reload, 3 clip level Cluster 3 with average recoil and fast reload, and 2 clip of wyvern ammo with fastest reload (when you have 3 level of Ammo Up, Recoil Down, and Reload Speed skills) so with this HBG you will rarely restock your ammo because you have all ammo you need. If you hate fast reload on Sticky 3, you can slap 1 point of Tune Up and not use any bowgun mod in price of damage output.
It also fires the clusters bomb ammo straight (with a smidge of drop-off) instead of mortar-style arc. I don't care if it is not the best, as all I see is glorious explosions.
@@vvvvvv66666 for Rajang HBG in base rise sure. But in sunbreak Rajang HBG is nerfed to the ground by Capcom making you loss a lot of DPS by lowering the MV and raising the recoil to average, oh and you cannot expect to survive hunt by having average recoil and shooting stationary, you're being too vulnerable to monsters attack
Ohhh, the design of these seriously remind me of those ancient weapons you could dig up from rare mining outcrops in the older MH titles. I remember desperately digging dozens of those up in hopes of being able to build the Teostra Charge Blade. I doubt these are a reference to those, but still - highly mechanized weapon designs are few and far in between, and are some of my favorites. (Looking at you, MHWorld rocket Greatsword.)
The special thing about the hbg is the cluster shot type. It fires in a straight line like other ammo and with the right skills and all 3 cluster ammos in your inventory you can fire them in extremely quick sucsession for an absolutely ridiculous firework. Don't use in multiplayer tho... unless you wanna piss off everyone on purpose :D
With how big monsters are now, if you know how to aim your shots right, you could potentially hit that right spot when everyone else is dodging an attack or hit the monster in a way that it doesn't bother the rest of your crew. It is something to test out and would probably be appreciated; even if Cluster Bombs are not that effective.
For the Antique Heavy Bowgun, it is one of 3 bowguns in game that have a cluster shot type of level, the other 2 being the felyne tree and the rhenoplos tree. All of the ammo on the gun being able to be shot while walking is nice for the survivability of HBG and to make sure you are always hitting a weak point. I'll more than likely make a MR version of my long range cluster build with this gun at some point as I made one in High rank with the Felyne tree hbg. Otherwise, the lack of moving reload and lvl 3 ammo for the main fire types locks you into the other ammo unless you want to deal with some less DPS.
I’m so disappointed in the HH song list. I don’t need it to be Attack Up, Sharpness Regen, and Stamina Use Reduced. But at least give me something more then tremors and knockback negated.
Curious if the IG has a small change when you bring up the targeting retical? Was really happy they kept the the Gore and Shaguru IG flares they had in 4U and XX/GU. There were a few in base rise but they were so tiny you almost couldn't see them.
They should've made these the Master Rank equivalent to Rampage weapons and let you fully customize the elements, stats, and looks of it. Especially when most of these are sleep weapons. I'm not familiar with the meta, is sleep really that good compared to blast, poison, or any other element? I'm a glaive main myself, I'm more partial to the Magnamalo glaive which deals blast damage. I know buddies with sleep weapons are good.
The antique hbg is an amazing explosive gun, don’t think it can use teo soul though unfortunately. But it is the best level cluster gun around with good sticky and wyvern ammo to bootl
So an interesting note on the HBG. It is one of the very few HBGs with a "level shot" cluster type. Meaning it fires clusters like normal ammo. It is sadly outclassed in power by the other one, the Felyne Cannon though. Also personal opinion on CB. I don't actually use SAEDs anymore, I find I can more reliably use stuff like air dash and ready stance to burst out damage more reliably. And Air dash has a particularly satisfying phial bomb which can rack up stun real well if you're aiming it properly with impact phials. Again, personal preference, but that's the great thing about sunbreak, playstyle variations are through the roof.
I do the same however since I usually prefer to use CPP I occasionally decide to use SAED particularly against Gore Magala since it feels amazing especially when I actually get a stun on a monster from an SAED
If you only see the power difference between Antique Machina and Felyne Artillery, sure Antique does have lower power than Felyne. But Antique Machina is actually better overall when it comes to Cluster 3 because it have average recoil and fast reload when you slotting 3 recoil and reload jewel rather than high recoil an slow reload on Felyne Artillery. Besides that, Antique Macina have 3 clip (when using ammo up 3) of Sticky 3 with low recoil and fast reload (when using 3 reload and recoil again). So Antique Machina the most powerful explosives HBG because you can use all types of explosives ammos and not relying only to Cluster and Wyvern ammo like Felyne Artillery.
@@kgng9029 If you're going for all explosive sure, but the felyne cannon has access to better regular ammo types (barring pierce ammo). Makes for a good spread/cluster hybrid. Regarding recoil/deviation/reload, its so easy to compensate for those with small decos I barely even register them.
Ah yes, the stationary spread 3 mixed with cluster 3. What nice a combo Need spread up 3, and critical skill to maximize the spread damage but not the cluster damage
Capcom is such a troll sometimes. They like: lets make a great looking HH with good stats. But let's put a shitty songlist on it just to make everyone sad who wants to use it
I am a big fan of the double statuses on Dual Blades, I think its one of the coolest aspects of dual blade build making is consitering if I want an ice-blast build by using the Teostra dbs or not. And now we got a blast+poison option: this will definately probably be my non-elemental dual blade option when I get there.
If the IG had a lvl 3 Rampage Deco Slot like the dual blades instead of just a level 2 it would have been more interesting because we could have used Kushala Soul deco with it. 0% affinity and no slots to make up for it in any way are kind of a bummer tbh
3:45 the anti arial deco works on just about every elder dragon because its not a damage boost aginst flying wyverns its a damage boost aginst anything that can fly whether its classified as flying wyvern or not.
biggest shame with the HBG: the barrels NEVER spin. making wyvernheart just look awkward. As for its ammo, it has a good selection of explosives with low-ish ammo count, but no level 3 ammo on either normal, piercing or spread really kills it in my eyes, especially as no ammo can be reloaded on the move... overall I don't see it as being a good pick at all.
Though how many HBGs get the level shot style for clusters in sunbreak? I would think this would be a pure explosives HBG. Though the rampage slot is sad
Those dual blades sound like the perfect status blades period. But that heavy Bowgun is a chain gun that can fire cluster shots level, and a lot of them too.
the new designs from sunbreak have no reason to slap this hard. Antique cb and Malzeno are some of my favorite designs of all time. Layered weapons when?
Even through Antique sets looks cool I am really liking my Great Sword Critical/Poison hybtid build. Surprisingly with Chameleos GS and Poison Attack max level I can inflict poison into the monster many times per fight, with exception to Poison Resistent/Immune ones.
Bless cotton For Censoring the potential Spoilers. ♥️♥️♥️♥️ *Me:who Watched alot of "japanese Documentaries after discovering the hidden treasures in my life."*
1:47 "none of them are the absolute best in their weapon class" I beg your pardon? HBG with all types of sticky, all types of cluster and straight shot, both of which with shooting while moving enabled, wyvern ammo, wyvern heart, good reload speed and recoil and decent damage? It's beautiful!
A sleep horn... how unique. I'm interested in at least three elements out of... what, 8? Blast, Poison, and Sleep. Usually I run sleep for my buddies since it is kinda redundant but useful irregardless... but I'll consider this. Still... strictly a support element.
1:35 .... must be that mythical British English because we must have different definitions of "Best weapon" idk about ya but "good at minimum" and "top 10" does not mean Best in Murrica
Honestly the Bow defiantly took inspiration from the Oneida Eagle Recurve compound bows, Look fantastic but they don't perform as well as modern compounds do
1:37 Your summary here is very accurate, but I'm a little disappointed in how clickbaity the title is, I don't think almost any of these are what people think of as "best" (meta, highest damage option)
I struggle to look at the greatsword and not see it just as a direct downgrade from the teostra one. A little more sharpness but less raw and far less blast. I guess the antique does have a level 3 rampage slot, where as the Teo has a 2. Either way
As a Switch Axe main, I looked at that SA, Saw it didn't have a lvl 3 rampage slot and stopped caring. The SA only skill is so useful for keeping my phial full that I refuse to use anything I can't slot that deco into.
Fellow SA main here, i wholeheartedly agree. Luckily there's plenty of great Switch Axes with level 3 rampage slots, but honestly I can't really bat an eye at using anything without one no matter how good it is. Switcher Jewel is just too good
I may have had a minor stroke looking at the thumb nail. I had an idea for multi element/ status weapons. Imagine a fire element chargeblade that switched to blast when in ax mode Or A thunder element switch ax that went into paralysis when in sword mode. Just thought these duel mode weapons would be a neat idea. There could even be skills to switch the elements for each mode.
I feel like they need to nerf the HP of these afflicted monsters. They're in my opinion fights that last entirely way too fucking long. For how little you're rewarded the one thing you're actually going on these hunts for. Again I want to make these 1000% clear here I have no problem with the amount of damage they do. But the amount of HP afflicted monsters themselves have is extremely overtuned in my opinion. There's no fucking reason a shitty tier one or two monster should have more HP then god damn Fatalis in Solo. That is artificial difficulty and it's shit, that mechanic only exists to waste your time for no real valid reason.
