This was really good! I followed the recipe pretty much exactly using garden tomatoes and a mix of mild and medium heat green peppers that were available that day at the grocery store. The octopus was so tender and the sauce was really flavorful...really glad we had nice bread to sop it up with. Thanks for the recipe and the beautiful video!
Dear Leyla, Like your recipe and the way of presenting very much. I had octopus stifado in Thessaloniki with Pearl onions and I guess cinnamon. It was a way thicker than your stew but I will definitely try this one out. The object in the middle is the beak and not the eye. Just cut until the beak and remove it. Cutting around the “eye” is a waste of the flesh. 😁
Dear Hakan, thank you very much for your comment. It is a great idea to make stifado with octopus instead of red meat. Yes, I realized that was the beak not the eye as I was editing the video but it was too late:-)). I should have put a text there.
