The weather wasn’t forecast to particularly nice, so I opted for a semi local destination of Aberfoyle.
I’ve ridden here a few time before, and know that it’s not the easiest place to ride, but this trip was slightly embarrassing on my part as I’ve never rode so inconsistently.
Here’s hoping next time out on the bike goes better than this.

Better a bad day on the bike than a good day in the office 👍. I always tell myself this if I’m riding like a tool. Your outside on an amazing bike in an amazing country doing what you love so its always good 👍. The trails did look nadgery mind 😜

It's tough to stay at the top of your game when you set the bar so high to start with Andy!! Wish I could ride as "bad" as you, especially surrounded by scenery that you have! At least you didn't break any bones or equipment........

Have you ever done the rodeo? Starts near the top of noodle soup, just off to the right. Flat boggy top, but then points RIGHT down. I reckon you'd love it.

Cool runnings! Out of interest, how long does your gopro battery last. Do you have to carry one or more spares?

Most rides I could get away with one battery, but I usually carry two spare for good measure.

Weird question but I'm getting a privateer bike with code r's, just wondering how the srams feel as u went from Shimano to sram

I much prefer the Sram’s over the Shimano’s personally. I have the RSC’s which I believe are a good step up over the r’s. You can change the lever only if you find yourself wanting more.
