Apparently any revoicing in one's native language often sounds only so-so (in terms of emotions, original actor's real voices, etc.). Although sometimes it is the other way around: I like the Russian dubbing of Madagascar better.

@@evil-eyesdude I think you are right. Sometimes when I watch korean movies I watch the english dub even though people online are complaining about how bad it supposedly is. For me though it sounds just fine.

I dont agree. I’m proud of how well germans do the voiceacting. Its one of the best in lip sync. I would always prefer the german version.

I think the Czech version somehow loses a bit more of the surrounding sound and that's why it sounds a bit more unnatural. Or it's just because we're naturally more critical towards our own language. 😁

I heard in the begining Netflix made classic dubbing for Polland, but they were very ciritised because Polish people use to hear "lector" (voice-over), so Netflix decides for change and keep traditional voice-over. Certainly I don't know if it's true.

@@davidzapalGMAIL it changed a lot but companies still don't see. Disney, Nickelodeon dub (almost) everything. At least half of Netflix Top 10 in Poland have Polish dub (not only originals). Originals wilth Polish dub are often much longer in Top 10 than in other countries (which also have dubs from Netflix). Guess why.

I am not sure, but I think that the books are set in a alternative reality where people of color gained the same rights as white people when the kind married a black woman. That’s why there is poc in the noble families and in royalty. But I am really not sure, so it would be better to verify it.

What makes you think a period piece has to be historically accurate? I can’t think of many which are exactly accurate, and many take liberties. It’s not intended to teach you history, it’s intended to entertain and inspire you. I’m guessing you haven’t seen the show, but the Queen at the time (who historians believe may have been biracial in real life) is a black woman and in this alternate reality, when the king fell in love with and married her, she began to name BIPOC as lords, ladies, dukes, etc. To your point, the only issue I have with this is the erasure of the fact that the transatlantic slave trade was in full force at the time and Britain played a big role in that. I think most of your questions would be answered if you watched the show, but I have to wonder how you got the impression that anything is supposed to be historically accurate in any form of media ever?

I mean this is fiction. All this has never happen with this person. When this would be a historical event or thing what really happend than i would think about question it at his historic accuracy. But why not have good roles for Black Persons in this great show. I like how diverse the show is.
