Prime Cam Newton was a whole mood. To be honest, today's version of Cam Newton is still a whole mood it just doesn't feel the same because he is older and his play at the quarterback position has declined but you have to respect Cam for staying the same through it all.
I mean, remember the dab? Would it have been as popular back in the day without Cam's doing the dance seemingly to perfection after a touchdown or big play? While I was making this video I stumbled upon a hashtag that said #CamNewtonDab and the funny thing about it was it had over 5,000 posts that used it while the year is currently 2021!! That just shows you how much of an impact Cam could be, not only with his dancing but also a lot to do with his play and huge smile that could light up a room.
So this video features, some heartwarming moments from Cam, a lot of his more funny moments, his run ins with the youth throughout his super stardom and yes, Cam dabbing and dancing much to the chagrin of the Tennessee Titans which you can also see the clip of in this video. That leaves us with the poll question I asked last night: Has Cam Newton played his last snap of NFL Football?
No matter what the answer, I think it's fair to see Cam Newton lived up to the hype in his NFL career after briefly dominating college football at Auburn and then becoming the first NFL quarterback to throw for 400 yards in his NFL debut. But Cam through his career was either a guy you loved or despised because of that charisma he carries. A lot of people believe you need to keep the same energy win or lose and it did seem like Cam demonstrated two opposite ends of the spectrum during both which bothered a lot of people. He was labeled as a "sore loser" by many after tough loses as he was seemed mopey and bitter during press conferences but him and the Carolina Panthers might have started the trend of taking pictures with your team and in the end zone after a big play, which is still popular to this day.
So who exactly is Cam Newton? Well he is a former MVP, who helped lead his team to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl. He is also the guy that gets a special joy out of doing nice gestures for children, which can be seen at the end of this video in a clip that describes how he likes celebrating touchdowns by handing the football to fans, especially young children. Cam's a guy who remained a pro during a season and a half with New England when things certainly didn't go as well as he probably would like to admit and ended with him being cut at the very end of the preseason. So I would answer that question as, Cam is an entertainer, a role model, and a hell of a football player during his prime who despite had his play drop off suddenly seemingly early in his career, remains one of the better players to do it when he was healthy. #CamNewton #CarolinaPanthers #Dab
