honestlly, you see the joy his teammates have playing with him. They appreciate his unselfishness and hustle. Only a player like Carmelo Anthony cant make it work with lin
Jake Conner The Knicks could have offered him a contract. Obviously what the rockets offered was ridiculous for Lin, especially at that time but if Carmelo really wanted Lin he has enough power to pressure the Knicks to at least offer him a smaller contract (a more reasonable one) and if he walks, owell, he walks. But he was not offered anything. So more than likely Melo did not want him on the team, especially since he was so popular and people were treating Lin like he was the main and best player on the Knicks. It might have also had to do with Mike D'Antoni and Melo not getting along too, and Lin's game seem to fit D' Antoni's system better. Lin needed work to help his raw game and they did not even want to offer him a smaller contract to at least experiment and see how far they could go with him, even as a sixth man, because in the long run, I have not seen enough proof that he would be suitable for the starting point guard position if they want to win a championship...
+shash That's what I'm saying. I think if the Lakers had play catering to Lin's style of basketball last year, they would have been a playoff team. Lin makes everyone good. They just never gave him a chance. Everytime Lin is in the game, he makes it competitive and kept it close. Even against the champion Warriors, he had good games both offensively and defensively!
One day a front office will sign this guy up on a multi year deal. That team will find out how much a good attitude and hard work impacts a team. BTW Lin is a lot more talented than people give him credit for he is a lot more than a hard worker, he does have skill.
Christine, Awesome! Thanks for all your works on J.Lin vids. ALL of them! Great for us, fans.On a different note: A Big Congrats to Steph Curry! (my other favorite player) A very much deserving MVP! Go WARRIORS, GO! Go All The Way!!
Entertaining how one year Kobe doesn't know who Lin is when asked by a reporter(Lakers losing that game to the Knicks) and a couple years later Kobe is giving an assist to Lin.
Lin was great when he saw court time. Cannot believe Lin pulled from the starting lineup. But coach Byron Scott was the great tank commander those two seasons, under direction from Kobe and Lakers front office.
Lakers should've resigned this guy, Bazemore and Ed Davis, all 3 could've been great bench pieces. Their roster this year could've been PG DLo/Lin/Calderon SG JC/Bazemore/J.Brown SF Ingram/Deng/A.Brown PF Randle/Nance Jr./Black C Yi/E.Davis/Zubak
Interesting to see most of his highlight plays either have Kobe on court or watching at the sideline. Lin played quite well with Kobe and Lakers when Kobe was healthy, but after that... I am not really sure about what Scott was thinking. The only valid explanation I think was Scott decided to tank shortly after Kobe went down, so he wanted those players that could win games like Lin and Young to sit...
Hey, what do you know, Lin actually has a lot of highlighted plays with Kobe. It's just the media that's telling you Lin and Kobe can't co-exist. I think if Kobe didn't have that big of an ego, they would have dominated Hollywood!
Lin, Hill and, Boozer rallies with a 10 point run Byron Scott: Sit down, you three. We're winning this game via Kobe and Nick Young's field goal percentages and wasted possessions
