Melissa Marie Benoist (/bəˈnɔɪst/; French: [bənwa]; born October 4, 1988)[2][3][4] is an American actress and singer. She has performed on stage and in television and film. She is known for her portrayal of the titular character in the CBS/CW DC Comics-based superhero drama series Supergirl (2015-present).
Benoist rose to prominence for her portrayal of Marley Rose on the Fox musical comedy-drama television series Glee (2012-2014). She appeared in films such as Whiplash (2014), Danny Collins (2015), The Longest Ride (2015), Patriots Day (2016), Lowriders (2016), and Sun Dogs (2017), and she portrayed David Koresh's wife Rachel Jones in the miniseries Waco (2018).
On stage, Benoist made her Broadway debut in 2018 as Carole King in the jukebox musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

@@sharettel.2975 Yes that would be brilliant! Can you imagine with Kara, Brainy, Winn and J'onn involved? Like with Kara, Brainy and Winn being all quirky, eccentric (particularly Kara and Brainy since they're alien), and very humorous while J'onn being serious and I can see him playing it dead straight, it would be hysterical and make for comedic gold. Yes I totally agree...there's different types of Kryptonite so why not Pink Kryptonite? ;) Kara being affected by it would make for an entertaining episode! I already loved 1x16 (one of my favorite episodes ever on the show. I'm actually shocked RR and JQ wrote the episode compared to some of the others they've done lol. 2x13 being the worst...I think JQ just did that one) and if they ever do an episode w/ Pink Kryptonite it would be awesome.
