Pachelbel was a German composer, organist and teacher who brought the south German organ tradition to its peak. He composed a large body of sacred and secular music, and his contributions to the development of the chorale prelude and fugue have earned him a place among the most important composers of the middle Baroque era.
Pachelbel's music enjoyed enormous popularity during his lifetime; he had many pupils and his music became a model for the composers of south and central Germany. Today, Pachelbel is best known for the Canon in D, as well as the Chaconne in F minor, the Toccata in E minor for organ, and the Hexachordum Apollinis, a set of keyboard variations.
Pachelbel's music was influenced by southern German composers, such as Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Kaspar Kerll, Italians such as Girolamo Frescobaldi and Alessandro Poglietti, French composers, and the composers of the Nuremberg tradition. He preferred a lucid, uncomplicated contrapuntal style that emphasized melodic and harmonic clarity. His music is less virtuosic and less adventurous harmonically than that of Dieterich Buxtehude, although, like Buxtehude, Pachelbel experimented with different ensembles and instrumental combinations in his chamber music and, most importantly, his vocal music, much of which features exceptionally rich instrumentation. Pachelbel explored many variation forms and associated techniques, which manifest themselves in various diverse pieces, from sacred concertos to harpsichord suites

I'm here because of the my daughters second birthday new toy. Rabbit with sleepy calm music. Makes me feel nostalgic and sad at the same time. How life changes. Happy to have a such an angel beside . When I was pregnant with my daughter I suffered from excruciating migraines. I couldn't take medicine for them so I put a wet rag on my forehead and listened to a tape with various versions of this song while resting. It fixed my migraine every time.😁

S'il fallait élire une meilleure musique de tous les temps, ce serait le Canon de Pachelbel. On peut l'emporter en musique classique jusqu'à la guitare hard rock. En passant par le piano, la flute...en la sifflant. Lente et douce, rapide et hargneuse. En montagne, à la mer, sous les océans, à la campagne, en été, en hiver, dans un film d'amour, sur une scène de bataille, au-delà de notre galaxie, dans un champ de fleurs, aux jeux olympiques, dans un ralenti des beaux gestes de Zidane, dans la course d'un cheval, les cheveux dans le vent en moto, en vélo cross dans les bois, à la pêche... Bref, la musique universelle, s'il en est une, c'est elle ! Belle, attirante, joyeuse et triste, prude et sexy, blonde, brune et rousse. Un amour de musique. Merci monsieur le compositeur d’inonder le monde depuis si longtemps et pour longtemps encore de cette magie qui nous emporte ailleurs à chaque écoute.

I had NEVER gotten ANYTHING from Classical Music till 4 years ago at 69! When I heard Canon for the 1st time, I laughed, and then began to Cry, as this is the MOST Beautiful Music I have EVER Heard in my Life! In our view, Pachelbel and others similar are in a class alone. The music of Pachelbel Drifts to your ear in a non-offensive manner and leaves you in a tranquil state of mind. Today we need this more than ever. This was among my mother's preferred for continued listening. Thank you all, very - very much.

Сколько слов уже сказано об этом шедевре. Описать всю глубину звучания и великолепия, на мой взгляд, не представляется возможным. Эта музыка наполняет разум человеческий самыми чистыми и прекрасными мыслями и чувствами. Забываются все проблемы житейские. Иоганн Пахельбель - гений не только своего, но и настоящего времени.

This music and man are anointed by God. He wanted to bring great joy to mankind and chose this pure vessel to do it. He has a clean, pure soul as evidenced by his music. I introduced my kids to classic composers, and of all of the pieces I showed them, they continue to hum this one. They're 11 and 9 currently, and when they're doing chores, homework, crafts, or when I pass by the washroom I can hear them humming this. I don't blame them, this is such a nice piece

I actually believe people like this God gives us just to remind us what is real creating. The kind your mind can't even comprehend! This & Hans Zimmer - Time I cannot even comprehend how they did it. My mind just goes numb when I try think of it. One this I would ask Hans Zimmer since he is still alive if I could. Like man did you hear Time before you created it kind of thing like like were do you even start creating something like that.

Елена Ивановна, когда пришел предел терпению, произнесла фамилию матери или её имение (надо уточнить в источнике, что именно) - Свиньино или Свинаркино. И прибавила, что раз вы коверкаете имя достойного человека, то и сами должно быть, достойны того, чтобы вам так же досталось. И после этого мамаша уже никогда не коверкала имя и фамилию Николая Константиновича Рериха. Вот и вы тоже, будьте любезны, не ругайтесь над памятью достойного имени.

Pachelbel gran músico y compositor con una fibra creativa inspirada por Dios como muchos otros genios de la música. Hoy más ke nunca...ke estoy solo en una sala de hospital con diagnóstico desconocido (desde hace 15 días tengo el lado izquierdo de mi cara adormecido) estas hermosas melodías me relajan y transportan al cielo y más cerca de Dios. Infinitas gracias al Señor por darme el don de poder oír estas maravillosas melodías.

J'ai 70 ans, j'avais 10 ans alors, maman mélomane mis sur le tourne disque des pièces de Pachelbel dont cette page sublime et depuis c'est un émerveillement à chaque fois que je l'écoute. Мне 70 лет, мне тогда было 10, мамаша-любитель музыки поставила на проигрыватель пьес Пахельбеля, чья возвышенная страница и так как это чудо каждый раз, когда я ее слушаю.

Ранее не знала такого Мастера. С первих нот поняла как созвучно с моей душой , как наполняется чистотой , легкостью и любовью. Сейчас поищу в мировой паутине ( інтернет) как он творил такие тонкие и трогающие сердце и душу , произведения. Спасибо за радость души.
