Fifty 1 Fifty well he is arguably the most iconic joker of them all, he managed to be everything at once: the gangster, the frightening psychopath and the prankster. He was jack Nicholson, Heath ledger and the guy from the Adam west tv show all rolled into one plus he managed to add his own style to the clown prince of crime, which is not an easy feat

Honestly, I don't think you need a really big budget for Mark Hammal. That's not a knock on him, I'm a huge fan of him and his voice work as the Joker, but he's not exactly a huge hard in demand movie star. And also, that was NOT Morgen Freeman, it was Tom Kane, who does a great Morgen Freeman.

For those who dont get the sponge part it's a reference to the green mile movie a Stephen king book/movie with Tom Hanks one of the officers in the movie did that to one of the inmates before they got the electric chair the sponge is supposed to go up in there heads for insta death but he took it of so he can suffer.

Pirate King Crocodile he did actually get the electric chair in one comic and he got his henchmen to revive him with some sort of drug. Then he was free to run around because he’d already paid the price for his crimes. He actually didn’t kill anyone in the comics for a few decades after that, I guess he learned his lesson
