I owned that chair before and it was super uncomfortable I had to return it, honestly it was like sitting on a church pew, almost no padding, all style no substance. The way it reclines is really odd too. Chairs are very subjective, try in store before you buy one.

I just bought one today. Only thing I don't like is the seat cushion does not extend our for those of us who are taller and need leg support. Or if it does, I haven't figured how it works.

Hi, MrThaiBox123 I see you've owned an older mesh version of this chair, is the new Elastane version as comfortable as the old one? More importantly, does it get hot at all like how leather does in the summer?

Just planning to buy one. What is the elastane material like? can you move around on it, or do your clothes "stick" to it? Does it have higher friction? Is it likely to wear through fabric rubbing on it? Mesh seems like the safe choice, I've never seen a chair with the elastane material.

Is there a US equivalent of this? I'm looking to pick one up, but they only ship to the U.K.! :(

What about the Aeron? Doesn't look as cool as this though. Seems like the Aeron's come up for sale second hand quite a bit.

When I saw the title of the Vid I assumed it would be a comparable price point to an areon, It looks like a nice chair for 350 quid but I find it hard to believe its competing with a 1000 pound areon! Love the vids and keep up the good work :)

That's actually both Merryfair WAU chairs with different materials... Merryfair WAU 2 (or mark 2 as you call it) is different - for example backrest is wider at the shoulder area...

lumbar not adjustable enough for leaning back

My family has five of the V1s, I am tempted to buy a V2, but I am not convinced with the rubber just yet. It looks fantastic, but functionally I would have to be convinced. I am very much unsure about the rubber headrest. I love my V1, I am not jumping to buy a V2 just yet.

I agree, for me personally this is the best chair I tried so far, and I had Herman Miller Aeron as well and I returned it because it made my back hurt again, the same as with 100 Euro Chinese chair. How about that mesh on your chair? Mine is stretched a little bit so I needed to take sitting par away and tighten it again, now it is like new. This is the second one, and both stretched after some time. I am around 80KG. This kind of things are not possible with Aeron and its 12 year warranty, however it is not as near as comfortable as this Merryfair WAU chair. Is that rubber cold at winter? It looks beautiful though. Thanks...

The best part about this chair is that it doesn't come with instructions on how to attach the head rest lol no one has assembled one on the internet apparently.

Wow - can't believe they didn't make the arm rests able to pivot upwards and out of the way. Seems like it would have been an easy design feature...

It looks kind of uncomfortable to be honest. But most ergonomic chairs do. I always had thick padded PU leather chairs but I am really tired of buying a new chair every three years, just because the leather broke again...

it's OK looking. It's great in an area like this video shows it, but most of us live in an average home with average looking surroundings. This thing loks TOO futuristic and hopefully has other color options IMO

Material kinda weird... and the pattern. I am going to get one of these chairs indefinitely because I love the shape and I'll always put my money down on innovation. However the mesh model seems to be the star of the show given how long it has lasted in your case. Personal preference I guess. The rubber Model kinda reminds me of a swimming pool mat and now I cannot un-think what I think of it lol I cant give Kudos to the designer as the mesh model was made way back in 2010- and then they just slapped a rubber mat over the same paten some years later lol But metaphorically speaking, if it's not broke, don't fix it. Hence I will make a purchase on the mesh model (85% sure lol) because this does seem to be well worth the money with it's competitors! Thanks for the review!

BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING! Chairs are not that simple. What people feel comfortable is mostly subjective, especially what expensive & ergonomic chairs are concerned. You can't just say to one chair "That's the best for anyone". I suggest everyone to try chairs before buying them. I just got a rather expensive one (around 500$) but I tested a lot of chairs before deciding which one to buy. For example I absolutely hate headrests which I did not know before. Good quality chairs are marked by high durability, high number of customization options and of course the level of comfort.

In our currency its very expensive and to realise what can i buy with £354 where i stay....easily get a 42 inches T.V !! I like that gaming chair though.This doesn't mean i want to buy it!! :-)

This chair was fairly easy to put together, the instructions were clear and I was about to follow along with no issues at all. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. ru-vid.comUgkx5hPALGI87E991DRmXev8PUFJGrrRcONS I did stuff the back of the chair with a pillow so it wouldn’t be so hollow after taking all the pieces out but that’s just a personal preference. I also added a pillow for lumbar support because although this is a great chair and is comfortable, it’s not necessarily the best if you’re sitting 10+ hrs a day wfh but in all honesty for the price, I didn’t mind at all. It looks great in my space and easily adjusts the height when needed.

First this is far from best office chair in the world, nowhere near Steelcase and Herman Miller. I liked the design then I went to shop to try the chair..chair is nice but it is very cheap builded. Loots of cheap plastic it is fine for 200-300 euros but for 400 i buyed a used Herman Miller Aeron it feels like a tank comparing to this.
